Thank fuck my DH is well lazy on the weekends!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 28/09/2007 09:27

My DH thinks he's getting to lay in bed all morning on Sunday!??........Think again looser!!!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/09/2007 09:28

cheers sputnik...that's the stuff DG sent me a sample of, it is lovely so I need to get some.

BZ we had some doublebase, but I gave it to my mum cos DS didn't need it any more [silly cow emoticon]

Tbh I want to get to the bottom of it, if you pardon the pun , as she was fine until two weeks ago and it came up almost over night. I've now washed my nappies four times without any detergent (soap still coming out of them btw). It appeared not long after i changed to ecover and had started putting lavender or tea tree oil in with the final rinse. I'm allergic to tea tree, so it might be that. anyway, once all the soap residue is washed out, I'll go back to using just fairy (in much smaller quantities)

we slept in big time this morning. DD was up at 5 for a feed. i put her back down at 5:30.....next thing i know ds is shoving lego under my nose and it was 10 past eight. we need to leave the house at half past!!

derlor · 28/09/2007 09:34

Dasiy, is she teething? bad nappy rash is often associated with teething.

loonylovegood · 28/09/2007 09:36

I have been doing that daisy. Only using fairy for nappies, but only one tablet instead of 2. It makes them much softer as well coz you don't get the soapy residue.

Could you phone the drs reception and ask them to prescribe doublebase and just pick up the prescription. I don't think you'd even need to see the dr.

LOL dkma! They think they're so hard done by being at work all day! I left dp at home for a couple of hours the other day whilst I went to my evening class. He picked me up and he was frazzled!! I think he then realised how difficult it is looking after 2 screaming kids all day!

morning btw.
i've had a shite night - literally!!! (been up A LOT with D&V so feel totally washed out today. had to call my friend this morning to come and take DD to nursery for me as i just couldn't
it's REALLY hard being so ill with 3 LO to look after on my own (feeling sorry for myself emoticon)
Ds has been great, he helped DD1 get dressed and brush her teeth and even sorted out their cereal - i just poured the milk in he is SUCH an angel. My friend is picking DD1 up from nursery and keeping her till 3pm so i can go back to bed with DD2.
yippee.

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/09/2007 09:50

derlor, poor you . keep warm, lots of fluids and rest.....but you know all this already

yes babyboo is teething, but this is more like excema (how do you spell that farking word?..never looks right to me) than nappy rash

loonylovegood · 28/09/2007 09:53

Awww derlor, you poor thing! Bless your ds though, he sounds like a little love! xx

eczema right off to bed x

sputnik · 28/09/2007 10:15

Poor you Derlor, looking after kids when you're ill is the worst part of parenting. And I've only ever done it with 1 so far. Take care.

Daisy, it could be the essential oils, they are strong stuff

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/09/2007 10:27

I'm just about to do the nappies for a 5th time.....hopefully that will clear out all residues. I hate the disposables, they smell just awful.

I've fallen off the fly lady wagon today....sink not shiney and have my pjs on under my clothes . Also, day 5 is say something nice about yourself......and i can't think of anything

Not fishing for compliments, just sharing how crap i feel

loonylovegood · 28/09/2007 10:32

I can think of lots of nice things to say about you daisy! You are fabby!

I still have my pjs on and so do the dcs. It's too cold to get dressed!

sputnik · 28/09/2007 11:30

Jusst reading that thread Daisy. Out of interest, which is the right way round for loo roll for you? I have to have it with the part you pull away from the wall IYSWIM. Needless to say MIL has it the other way

foxybrown · 28/09/2007 11:40

What about that tiny, tiny baby? She's a little miracle.

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/09/2007 11:45

lol sputnik, I'm with you.....the thought of germ laden hands coming into contact with the wall as you scrabble to get hold of the end....eeeeeeewwwww!

What an amazing little baby. It'll be interesting yo see how she grows.

andiem · 28/09/2007 12:22

andiem · 28/09/2007 14:05

trendaverter · 28/09/2007 14:16

afternoon all!
Daisy maybe the essential oils were too much for DD?
Hope it rights itself soon though.
And OMG at those babies... I do feel lucky, every day
