Thought that was going to bee the P-word
Are you suree it's not just missing the LO?

I dreamt I was pg the other night. I was standing sideways on to the mirror and wondering how come my belly wasn't shrinking (I often do this in RL). In fact it seemed to be biggeer. Then it started moving and a little hand and head pushed out, Alien stylee. I was so glad to wake up

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/09/2007 15:49

Right I'm back

Little fella is 16.4lbs and he is 12 weeks old

He's mahooosive!!!!

sputnik · 27/09/2007 15:58

Wow, he nearly rivals my little potato guy

trendaverter · 27/09/2007 16:01

nope, I have been broody for about 3 weeks. Am I insane?

sputnik · 27/09/2007 16:13

I think it's normal. Even I feel a bit like that and I am convinced (on a rational level) I really don't want any more. But make sure you consult your rational half before making any decisions .

Also, it's meant to be better healthwise for you and subsequent children to leave a bit of a gap. I personally couldn't have coped wwith less than 2 years, and I'm very happy with the 3 year gap that I have between my 2.

trendaverter · 27/09/2007 16:18

DH and I were thinking maybe late next year... of course anything could happen or things might change our plans so we'll see

trendaverter · 27/09/2007 16:19

ok I am packing up to go home, byeeee!

andiem · 27/09/2007 16:31

ooh you lot I am broody too slightly tricky for us as lo was ivf but we do have 3 frozen embryos I would like to us them dh so traumatised by birth says no

I think next year when lo is 1 then I would have small gap but need to crack on as I am ancient would like to feed lo for a year as I did with ds and can't do that when having ivf so will definitely have to wait till next summer hopefully will have worked on dh enough by then to get him to agree

bumperlicious · 27/09/2007 16:53

talking of broody, should i be worried that my dr insists that i don't need contraception while i'm bfing?

justbeme · 27/09/2007 16:55

Perhaps its our bodies way of acknowleding the fact that its a year since we all conceived!! I know I conceived on my Dps birthday (7/10) -some of you would have conceived about right now!! Are you going to give your partners an anniversary pressie tonight? ..........didnt think so!

TALLULAHBELLE · 27/09/2007 16:56

Derlor - don't know where neals yard is in glasgow but did notice today that willow trading on gt western rd sells NY stuff. Couldn't remember what u wanted tho but let me know & i'll have a look next time i'm passing.

Went to see Lucky You today. DON'T GO - its boring load of tosh.

Right quick catch up before my BABYSITTERS arrive & i go OUT for dinner.

Getting carried away with the CAPITALS somewhat sorry.

derlor · 27/09/2007 16:57

so Foxy how is it having 4????
Bumper i've chosen not to have contraceptive whislst BF and my GP looked like this - maybe we should swap GP's
How's it going today Bumper?????

derlor · 27/09/2007 16:58

it's in Royal Exchange Square Tallulah - next to Rainbow Room.

andiem · 27/09/2007 16:59

have a lovely time tallulah

well I know the exact conception date and as there was no sex involved my dh will not be getting a treat from me

derlor · 27/09/2007 16:59

i don't need it now anyway, but thanks x ENJOY YOUR DINNER!!!

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:00

LOL andiem!

bumperlicious · 27/09/2007 17:04

still coming off sometimes and i don't know why but she is feeding eventually. been letting her feed a lot a sleep at the breast.

i don't actually need any contraception but i am the complete opposite of broody so will eventually need something.

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:12

that sounds positive, do you feel any happier today?

TALLULAHBELLE · 27/09/2007 17:14

Every health prof I've come into contact with has banged on about b/f not being a contraceptive Bumper. Not that i need it anyway either. But i do know that i haven't ovulated so obviously its working for now.

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:19

read this info - hope it helps

bumperlicious · 27/09/2007 17:19

up and down derlor, you know one minute you think this isn't bad, we can do this next i'm on the phone crying to dh coz i can't cope with dd crying. i so don't want to stop bfing but even dh is losing patience. thanks for asking derlor.

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:22

what about mixed feeding? - you could use ff botles when you are on your own during the day and BF in the evenings when DH is there to help and support you? would that be an option? - even short term?
you could keep expressing during to day to keep your milk supply up

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:23

and BF all weekend when he is there too.

daisyandbabybootoo · 27/09/2007 17:26

bumper, as soon as babyboo started sleeping at night, i ovulated and have had two periods since she was 9 weeks old, but they were 6 weeks apart. So, contraception definately required unless you want another one quickly....

i'm that your gp would think it's ok!

I'm glad things are better for her today.

I'm got a shitty tantrummy DS here. H screamed all the way home from school, threw his bag anc coat in the road, and grabbed holfd of the buggy and tried to pull it over, before screaming that I was evil and he hated me.....all i said was could he read emily a story when he got home (he only ate less than half his roll from his packed lunch so blood sugar crash big stylee). I just want to run away and live peacefully by the sea ALL BY MYSELF.....

....so absolutely NO broodiness here!

derlor · 27/09/2007 17:29

oh Daisy poor you, how stressful
Does he do things like this with your DH too or is this special behaviour just for mummy?
