Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
derlor · 26/09/2007 21:59

i remember being dragged along as a child and thinking it was just a load of old broken dishes maybe i should re-visit??
funny how you never go to the places on your doorstep huh!

sputnik · 26/09/2007 22:06

As I remember there were some really nice paintings.

derlor · 26/09/2007 22:11

the Kylie exhibition is on at the art gallery in Glasgow at the mo - DH thinks that sounds interesting

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 22:14

DH and I have just made finger puppets! We made a dragon, a lion, a dog, grandma and daddy (with his iPod!

derlor · 26/09/2007 22:16

for DD's enjoyment - yes??
glad you're sounding a bit happier

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 22:23

Thanks derlor, yes, it's just when they are crying for hours it's at it's very worst and you think it's never going to stop. That's what it was like earlier, but DH cooked me dinner and we just had a lovely evening and it didn't involve watching the TV!

I'm going to take some more of that vile more milk tincture - it tastes like pureed celery

Thanks so much for being so nice everyone.

TA, you are doing a great job. My colleague always used to say "wednesday night, weekend's in sight"!

derlor · 26/09/2007 22:26

Bumper you try fenugreek capsules instead maybe? they are really working for me and you don't taste them - just swallow with a drink.
holland and barrett sell them x

bumperlicious · 26/09/2007 22:32

I might do derlor but had better have some of this stuff as it cost 12 quid [grr]!

Right, signing off. Got to wake DD for night feed. Fingers crossed it works. Hope I can express tomorrow, I need an early night!

Have a good day tomorrow everyone!

derlor · 26/09/2007 22:34

night Bumper, good luck i'm off too x

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/09/2007 08:06

Mornin!

DH woke LO and me up at 6am when he was crashing around getting ready for work! Grrr!
Now that LO is sleeping well - I get really pissed off if I am woken up!

Hope everyone had a good night?
Bumper - hows the feeding going? Any improvement?

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 08:41

Morning everyone...how you doing? I am still lying in bed (went to sleep at 9pm!) waiting for my breakfast with a sleeping baby next to me...and DD1 is still at mum's house where apparently she has been good as gold. I feel so rested it's brilliant! Want DD1 back now though...I do miss her

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 08:44

And funnily enough I realised that DD2 must spend a lot of timing watching DD1 as she was definitely getting a bit bored/lonely yesterday which she never usually does...so sweet to see that there's a bond between them already.

trendaverter · 27/09/2007 08:54

Morning all

Did my shopping online last night, being delivered tonight, ahhhh more time at the weekend with my boys.
How is everyone today?

bumperlicious · 27/09/2007 08:55

lovely bz,what a treat.

dkma am sat with baby asleep/feeding at my breast! the LLL helpline woman said to try feeding her more often to encourage milk supply, & to not use dummy so much (eek!)

grrr at your dh! is LO sleeping through? you said you were mostly ff with night time bf? do you still get milk then for just that feed?

sputnik · 27/09/2007 09:00

That sounds nice BadZ. You deserve a bit of a break.

It's amazing this sibling bonding thing isn't it? DD doesn't kiss anyone except her little brother! I was sure we'd have problems as she always had lots of attention but she's been better than I'd ever have imagined.

I've kept DD at home today as they both have nasty coughs. She likes the new nursery better than the oother one but I think she's finding it quite tiring.

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 09:02

Bumper...as long as they are feeding at all you still get some milk...you'd be surprised at how long it goes on. Mine tends to feed in a chilled fashion till about 4pm (i.e. every several hours) when she then starts cluster feeding...guess supply is lower then. At the same time I don't leak at the moment, which is good - Derlor, does the FG make you feel uncomfortably full in the morning, or just boost supply at the 'lower' times?

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 27/09/2007 09:03

Hi everyone

Bumper - You're doing really well - glad you've spoken to someone and have got a plan!
I have been just bf'ing for any feed in the middle of the night and for the first feed of the day (7am ish) and my supply was just right - it just settled in to that routine.
However - for the last 2 wks lo hasn't woken at all in the night, and has not been keen on bf'ing in the morning - then on monday he totally refused the boobie!! So he is totally on ff now! I was a bit sad cos I liked bf'ing in the morning - it was a lovely way to start the day - but I'm not going to fight him on it.

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 09:05

Yeah, frankly I was v reluctant for my Mum to take DD1 away for the day/night as I was picturing panicked and angry calls in the middle of the night...but it seems like she's been an angel. Will feel much better about it in the future I think. Potty training was the key I think.

BadZ, that is exactly Baby Sputnik's feeding pattern.
Bumper, you should spend the day chilling with the lo, put your feet up.

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 09:18

Yeah bumper, I agree. Have you got the hang of lying down feeding yet? That's what I intend to do till DD1 comes home...stay in bed with a good book!

sputnik · 27/09/2007 09:21

MHC I really hope your PIL's can cheer up. Did they come all this way to be miserable bastards?

BadZelda · 27/09/2007 09:29

Arse...I bought one of those babysheepskinz, which arrived this morning and it's 'dappled' - i.e. looks like someone's crapped all over it! The one in the picture was def. white!

riabutterflew · 27/09/2007 09:29

morning all. we'll have to see about a trip to Glasgow when DH is working again, he might just be great-uncle willy?

all my boys are at home today. I am making sandwiches then Daddy is taking them to the Yorkshire Air Museum i think. I am trying to decide whether I can be bothered to get ready to go shopping in York. Much as I love spitfires I don't fancy the museum. Or I could just stay at home in a quiet house half-heartedly tidying.
