I was going to say what's your idea and realised that was daft

trendaverter · 26/09/2007 10:48

I know it's happening to Bumper - is anyone elses hair falling out in big lumps?

It's somewhat concerning.

loonylovegood · 26/09/2007 10:48

Some bitch has already thought of it! Mine was more of a sleepsuit with a swaddle blanket attached, rather than a sleeping bag, but it's the same concept! Arse!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 26/09/2007 10:57

yeah...bitch

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 10:59

Bummer about idea already being used.

Lucky old you derlor

Right, off to library!

foxybrown · 26/09/2007 11:16

DKMA - i do think working mothers often spend more quality time with their lo's - less likely to have lo and her friend round and have them BOTH in front of cbeebies!

Daisy, as you are here, and I am too (we know where we should be!) can i have some real nappy advice please?

I am about to run out of the Devil's Pampers, and am thinking I should keep a couple of real nappies just incase. can you recommend something which is fairly adaptable with growth, easy to use and comfy. I'm not planning on making a big investment, just as a stand-by.

you never know, this might be the start of a conversion!

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 11:27

foxy - what have you done

good plan though, I keeping thinking and looking, then I remember my laundry basket...

foxybrown · 26/09/2007 11:34

ahh, the laundry ... hadn't thought of that!

trendaverter · 26/09/2007 11:35

bumgenius!

one size fits all, easy to use, fast to dry, no leaks
Mine are looovveeeelllyyyy
For the blurb

trendaverter · 26/09/2007 11:40

and you can chuck them in with a normal wash (but don't use fabric softener)

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 11:45

aha...I wasn't here....
Iwnet to the meeting, and in spite of several bars of chocolate and bottles of wine and eating chips more this week than i usually do in a month......I lost 2lbs.

off to celbrate with a mars bar

foxy re nappies....what TA said or there are wonderoos one size pockets as well. If you'd prefer terry/cotton cloth popolini, motherease, cottontails all do a one size birth to potty adjustable thing.

foxybrown · 26/09/2007 11:46

Thanks TA - do you use liners with these?

I suspect Daisy was a good woman and went off to WW, unlike me

foxybrown · 26/09/2007 11:47

Fantastic Daisy! Am really pleased for you, thats great. bet you are pleased you went now!

x-posts there

trendaverter · 26/09/2007 11:49

Hi Foxy...you can, up to you.
Fleece ones, paper ones, or nowt, your call. I do but that's just to keep the nappy cleaner. I use fleece as I think it's nice and soft but CM prefers flushables.
Alternatively, you can go without. I haev and poo washes off fine on a 40 wash.

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 11:55

I am indeed pleased I went.

Will really knuckle down this week. If I can lose another 5lbs before my holiday I will be very pleased. It's in 3 weeks, so it's do-able.

DD hasn't stopped shouting since we got back. I think it's her teeth so off to try some teetha granules and a cuddle, see if that helps.

or I may just out her in the garden and ignore .....joke

i gave her a taste of apple yesterday. She sucked on the end of mine for a bit, I think it was nice and soothing for her gums. she grinned all the while so I guess she liked the taste!

I'm not weaning her yet though!

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 11:57

well done daisy!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/09/2007 12:04

Daisy - that's brill! Well done!

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 12:10

it was only 2lbs.....

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/09/2007 12:38

It's taken me 5 weeks to shed 5lbs so - I'm impressed!!

Anyone else got any ideas on how to pimp up my baby's ride? I love the sheepskin thingie from John Lewis (think it was Jamantha that suggested it) but they don't have any in stock!

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 12:46

well done daisy.

I have to confess I didn't stick to it. the stress just got too much and i needed wine and crisps and chocolate!

riabutterflew · 26/09/2007 12:50

this dkma?

Jamantha · 26/09/2007 12:59

Sorry DKMA, can't claim responsibility for that one

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/09/2007 13:01

oooh that looks snuggy!!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/09/2007 13:01

LOL at you pimping your babies ride.....

what about a custom paint job in that two tone colour changing paint?

but...babysheepskins here.

I love the boots on here as well!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 26/09/2007 13:02

oh no - it was Andiem that mentioned it - I've just looked back!
