Hi Bumper! Welcome back.

No hugging, kissing, cuddling baby after 7pm!?!?!? And £1,000 for her services? That's A DAY!!

Jamantha · 25/09/2007 21:37

I think (and hope) she was suggesting I should gargle for my throat. But like I said, I feel that at my ripe age I can sort out my own throat and hadn't even alluded to needing anything, just commented that I had given DD some pain relief as there wasn't anything else we could do for her sore throat. I really don't think she'd suggest salt water for a baby.

foxybrown · 25/09/2007 21:38

and all those lovely newborns!!

Somebody stop me!

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 21:38

hi bumper...thanks for your text . I meant to text back...but um...baby brain strikes again!

It's worth a go bumper. My milk supply has lessened as well but I think it's just part of the process isn't it? I seldom even wake up with engorged boobs now, even after 12 hours. It does make for frustrating feeds towards the end of the day.

I fancy the tea. I didn't get into town today, but will definately try at the weekend.

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2007 21:39

3 HOURS in the garden ON HER OWN.

Jamantha · 25/09/2007 21:40

Stop it, foxy!

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 21:40

oops, Jamantha, I thought you meant she was suggesting salt water for DD...again, baby brain strikes again.

Foxy, step away from the babies

I sometimes leave DD in her pram in the garden, but only when she is sleeping.

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 21:41

" All a baby wants is to be left alone to grow"

what does she think they are....farking potoates

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2007 21:43

Surely not left alone for 3 hrs, with the back door firmly closed & not allowed to even listen out for her???

foxybrown · 25/09/2007 21:43

Did he just say "The baby is a guest in their lives"???

bumperlicious · 25/09/2007 21:45

Hi Foxy, not watching it yet, but just reading the thread tells me all I need to know. I've read a couple of articles about that woman. She sounds like a right treat!

derlor · 25/09/2007 21:46

LOL at potatoes Daisy - i got some of these today - you can open them up and make tea if you so desire so double bonus - they stink so i'm just using them in capsule form

whispers > derlor runs away...........

bumperlicious · 25/09/2007 21:47

No worries daisy, just wanted to check you were ok. The more milk stuff is VILE btw. Hope it's worth it!

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 21:51

How does CV suggest feeding a BF baby if she is advocating holding FF babies at arm's length?

babyboo slept from 7:30 till 7:00.....

foxybrown · 25/09/2007 21:52

Bumper, how do you take the More Milk stuff, and how often?

LO is doing really well, happy, contented, sleeping, but slow weight gain. Took her to be weighed today, and she is dropping down the centiles. My HV was great - she said all the right things, if I'm happy to bf, she's happy, alert, etc etc, lets just keep an eye on her. Milk supply seems fine, but I thought I'd try something like this anyway.

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2007 21:52

Just squirt it across thr room. If they're hungry enough they'll soon learn to catch it.

derlor · 25/09/2007 21:54

LOL tallulah

bumperlicious · 25/09/2007 21:56

Foxy, it's a tincture, you take it 4 times a day either neat or in liquid. I recommend holding your nose, trying not to vom then washing it down with orange juice. Or you could just take the fenugreek capsules, but this also has fennel and other weirdy beardy stuff

You lot are brave leaving your DC's after their evening feeding. DD feeds about 7ish, then we wake her at 10.30 which she doesn't like very much but then she goes till between 6 and 8. I do wonder what time she'd wake if I left her but I'm always to wussy to take the risk in case she wakes at something like 3am!

foxybrown · 25/09/2007 21:59

anyone else shouting at the telly?

bumperlicious · 25/09/2007 22:00

Just read the rest of your post foxy, going to get LO weighed tomorrow as haven't for ages (have to wait to bloody long!) but after this bad feeding blip I'm a bit worried. She is on the 9th centile as it is. Glad they weren't horrid to you.

TA, (if you are not too knackered to be on here) didn't the HV tell you DS wasn't gaining enough?

foxybrown · 25/09/2007 22:02

I know we shouldn't put too much emphasis on those centils and growth charts, but they still worry us, don't they?

derlor · 25/09/2007 22:03

what weight is she now Foxy?

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/09/2007 22:04

That was scary. Am all for routine - but not at all costs. Were they to listen to that 3 day old baby cry for 2 1/2 hours?

derlor · 25/09/2007 22:04

baaahhhhhh (they are for FF babies)

most HV's don't tell you that though!

BF babies have a separate chart

derlor · 25/09/2007 22:05

i was talking about growth charts BTW!!
