my son is a bit of a handful as well DG.....DH had a chat with his teacher the other day, as he seems to struggle a bit at school. She said that he is a very bright little boy, but is getting frustrated by his own limitations. They were doing sentence structure the other day and had to make up a sentence about Bob the Builder and how he was feeling. Apparently all the other kids were coming up with "Bob was sad", "Bob was happy" etc etc. DS was struggling with it and getting really angsty and wailing "I can't do it".....His sentence was "Bob was feeling fabulous"

Hi holly, i'm just the same as normal, sorry.

not sure if the hv is coming today to reassess me... hope she confirms with enough time for me to tidy up!

back later

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 09:34

I'm sure the hv won't mind if your house is messy. Hope you are ok.

hi daisy. just finished catching up...

i've a big long list of things to do today. my parents get here at 6am in the morning

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 11:23

I'm flying today!

I was round for coffee at one of the mums from school this morning and will have to reciprocate next week so need order in my house before then!

nothing like a deadline for making you work hard

It'll be nice having your parents annobal. Are they staying with you or in a B&B or something?

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 11:23

Morning daisy and annobal!

morning holly.

wot you up to then?

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 11:31

I am trying to get my dd some clothes. M&S are doing a really good online deal on kids clothes, but they have gone all weird! All their girls stuff is really strange! I want to go out, but my dp took the pushchair out of the car and left one of the wheels in there, so I have to stay in.

How are you today?

i'm ok....trying to resist a mad urge to start stripping wallpaper.

My living room is depressing me...still not decorated since we moved in nearly 2 years ago and it's like living in an old folks home. Now I'm spending more time here it really is bugging me. DH says NO though.

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 11:49

Oooo, I so know that urge...it's really hard to resist isn't it?

I'm trying to sort out my nappies so I can get rid of the small ones, but every time I stop rocking ds's chair he starts moaning. So I am stuck here until he falls asleep!

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 11:54

Hi TA!! You ok?

OP posts:
trendaverter · 25/09/2007 11:55

bored shitless. Missing my little man. Anooyed with childminder. How are you?

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 11:57

Why are you annoyed with your cm? How is work?

OP posts:
trendaverter · 25/09/2007 11:59

she didn't change his nappy or feed him as much as I asked.

Work is dull... nothing to do, but that's the nature of my job... weeks of boredom then weeks of manic tedious shite.

loonylovegood · 25/09/2007 12:04

Awwww, you poor thing! Hope it gets better.

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 25/09/2007 12:07

hey TA...good you can sneak on here for a bit

I'm sure the childminder thing will work itself out. You're all just getting used to each other.

Thanks for your e-mail...i'm going to try a bumgenius. i saw them somewhere for £11.50 but didn't bookmark it and can't blardy find then again . also keeping an eye on the classifieds.

holly...duly signed. i'm sure most nappy peeps have signed already, but will do a thread incase more want to add to it.

trendaverter · 25/09/2007 12:11

£11.50 is a good price, they are normally about £14.
They are just like using disposables really.

The only bit I don't like is the stretchy tabs can get caught on the velcro and pill a bit - but only a teeny bit and it's my fault for not folding them back

trendaverter · 25/09/2007 12:14

The CM is fine... she's just not as good as his mum, you know?
She is fine really but I did ask her to give him an extra bottle during the day as when we got him home he consumed 16.5 oz in 2 hours

He doesn't ask for food by crying though.. he more just hiccups and acts grumpy so I guess he's not as easy to read.

have to say though when I dropped him off this morning one of her own kids, looked about 4 or 5, was wandering around in nothing but a NAPPY
