Hi All,

Thought I’d just start a December 2019 babies thread for those who have given birth in December and want to catchup/chat/rant/need support etc.

We are 11 days in...!
How is everyone doing?

@popgoesperfection he is 8 and a half weeks

When you say muzzy @bespokepaininthearse do you mean muslin? Yeah mines a chunky bum, was 12lb3oz at 6 weeks. Do you think it would be too late to swaddle?

Yes I do sorry 🤦🏻‍♀️ he loves his muzzy, I've seen a ring you can tie the muzzy to, and was contemplating if I could dummy clip o to that as we do I don't have to fumble around at night if he does spit it out.

Oh I think I have seen them, this is what I've ordered ...

I'm hoping he makes an attachment to it (and I want to learn him to suck the arms/ears rather than the dummy 🤞🏻)

I ordered it from Etsy, they have some lovely colours, they also have plain muslins but in a variety of lovely colours (rather than your standard white, white with stars, light blue etc)

Oh dear . I knew it was too good to be true to have such a good baby and every time someone mentioned how good he is I've felt like it was jinxing it. And now I'm pretty sure he has colic

Oh no @Comps83 how old is he? Has he been upset?

He's just turned 9 weeks
He's been grumbling late afternoon for a while but had a melt down Monday night and then again at about 1pm yday but then he went for his jabs at 2 but as this started before the jabs I can't blame them . He was inconsolable last night

Oh it's so hard and upsetting when they're like that!! When my lo was like that we started baby massage (at home) to try and relax him and a bath together for some skin to skin in the water. How's he been after his injections? Did he have the rotovirus spray?

Yeah he had the rotavirus drops

They can cause stomach ache, like griping pains and make them feel really off it. And it can kick in pretty quickly, when my lo had his first lot after about 5 hours he was really upset, screaming in pain, hungry but couldn't drink his milk, had a rough night with him downstairs on sofa and he was back to his usual self day after.

I wish it was just the jabs as this sounds like the way he was last night but he'd also been like that an hour before I took him to the doctors too

Anyone else's end up in a completely different place to where they left them in the crib? He's always turning himself 90 degree and lying across the bottom of the crib . I'm worried as he gets bigger he's going to end up getting wedged and injure himself

Yes. DD wriggles to the edge.

So i found out today my husband has been cheating on me since our son was 5 weeks old (hes 11 weeks today!). Packed up me and the kids to my parents for the weekend but if anyone has been through this with previous kids or whatever, if you could dm me with any advice that would be great x

Cant sleep just keep looking at my 2 babies wondering how someone could do that to their wife letalone their kids...

I suppose at least now ill get the title credit for being a single parent, the practicalities havent changed.

I'm doing it alone too, I have 2 under 2 and I'm doing fine, in fact much better on my own you will find your own strength for your babies xxx
