Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

Derlor...why did you shout arse and run away last night.....are you OK?

faylisa · 30/08/2007 20:59

I'm here but DD has only just stopped sobbing 1 and 1/2 hours after going to bed and DH is out on the town (lucky sod!)so I'm a bit done in and nothing of interest to say I'm afraid!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 21:01

my DP is out on the razz too

derlor · 30/08/2007 21:02

i'm fine now was just having a bad day, meant to come on here earlier in the evening but before i knew it it was way too late for chatting so a quick shout out of the "arse" helped me to get to sleep!!
How is everyone - it's become impossible to keep up on this thread these days.
Happy birthday to JBM

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 21:03

My DH could be doing anything....

he was supposed to come home tonight but phoned at tea-time to say something has come up at work and he won't be back till teatime tomorrow

faylisa · 30/08/2007 21:04

Have just got pizza out of the oven so things are looking up!

faylisa · 30/08/2007 21:05

Daisy - that sucks. DH will be home at some point but will no doubt have had a few and be as useful as a chocolate teapot! To be fair to him though it is the first time he's been out in weeks.

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 21:06

are your DCs back at school already Derlor?Must make life a bit easier during the day.

I've been a terrible parent these holidays as we have done very little indeed. So much so that DS said earlier he's looking forward to going back to school as its too boring at home

mind you, i used to get bored by the end of the hols...they seem to last forever at that age.

derlor · 30/08/2007 21:10

oh dear lots of absent men huh!! my DH is out playing football this evening.
Yeah Daisy DS been back at school for 2 weeks now and DD1 started nursery yesterday - 5 mornings a week, yip yip yippee!!!!
it's weird without both of them around, DD2 is just such a peaceful wee thing

andiem · 30/08/2007 21:10

hi ladies lol at all the talk of getting pi**ed I haven't done that for years

I asked ds if he is looking forward to school but he is moving to the junior bit and told me he is frightened of the big ones in the playground have told him mummy will watch through the fence and nab any that are nasty...........(not really) mummy will be too busy hauling lo around to all the places she wants to go ha

Have to be smug though all clothing named and in correct bags etc just waiting for the return on tuesday

anyway off to bed for me now I still have a twice a night feeder

derlor · 30/08/2007 21:13

I have an "absent" DH too, he came home early with a cold then went to bed at 7. Obviously he's at death's door. I'm getting it too now, but will I be allowed to lie in bed for hours? Answers on a postcard please......

trendaverter · 30/08/2007 21:36

Daisy just cooked for 7.. cooked thai, argh, I am exhausted! went ok though.

sputnik · 30/08/2007 21:46

God I love thai food, especially that coconut milk soup, yum

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 21:48

tut tut Sputnik, he obviously has Double Pneumonia. You have a sniffle

sputnik · 30/08/2007 21:49

God I love thai food, especially that coconut milk soup, yum

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 21:52

oooh sputnik, that was clever...I've never seen a double post separated by another post before!!!

I haven't had Thai for ages.....lovely and spicy and fresh and full of seafood...yum.

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 21:54

and I thought Sputnik was just ignoring me

Daisy - saw on that other thread that you are a cheesy C&W fan too! I will openly admit I love Dolly Parton now.

sputnik · 30/08/2007 21:57

talented, me.

Can I admit to a secret liking for Johnny Cash now then?

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 21:58

all hail Queen Dolly and King Ken

actually I'm more interested in Johnny Cash and Steve Earle these days, but I like the folksy stuff like John Denver and Willie Nelson as well.

DS loves Johnny Cash...so much so that his goldfish are named Johnny (the carp in black) and June
