Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

my mil used to do some of ours, but not any more . i made a remark about a lovely crinkle cotton top of mine that she ironed the life out of and melted all the sequins on.....i think she took offence!

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 17:21

hows was the meet up girlys?

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 17:23

i iron everything. its obsessive it really is.. i iron all of ellens vests and baby grows too..

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 17:34

You just ironed more in a week than I do in a year Charlie!

annobal, off to the local curry house with work colleagues. Think I deserve it after a 3 mile walk with DD this afternoon (testing the Phil & Ted off-road capability) and 2.5 miles yesterday

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 17:53

have a nice nite out Jamantha...

I've got a friends birthday meal next week and I am so looking forward to it, but a bit out of practice on the social front. I'm trying to stockpile some ebm between now and then.

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 17:55

out? at night? with no lo's?

do people sctually do that??

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 18:00

Yes foxy and they get so pissed they throw up in the toilet and pass out on the bathroom floor!!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 18:02

that was one off glass of wine, surely?

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 18:05

I am also out of practice on the social front. I don't want to be a woman who can only talk about her LO, but know little of anything else these days. Best alternative topic I have lined up is a company that makes paper out of sheep poo, or other herbivore poo if you send it in to them. (Saw them on Mountain at the weekend and looked up their website www.creativepaperwales.co.uk/index.asp)

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 18:10

i went out a few weeks ago for the first time since tom was concieved (ie over 2 years ago) and got so drunk i cant remember alot.. it was great!
SO going out again lol

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 18:20

I bought DH some paper from Oxfam that was made from elephant poo!

Yes foxy, people do go out without the DCs but my mum told me (when i was hankering after a big family) that it all comes to an end when you have more than two as the ease of finding a babysitter is inversely proportional to the number of children needing to be looked after

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 18:22

Oooh, hadn't thought much about drinking. Hadn't got beyond the fact that I'll be talking to people who don't have children, and that we may talk about something other than sleep, poo, nipples, feeding and nappies.

Talking of nappies we've got Diddy Diapers too and think they're great. The normal ones are getting a bit snug now (small size) but the microfibre ones still fit good. And we've been given a heap of tots bots so don't have to buy any bigger ones

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 18:28

never had the nerve to try re useables and hubby has put foot down as he hates them

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 18:30

unfortunatly Jamantha my night out was with all my mum friends and i spent the night talking about how much i missed my kids

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 18:35

yes, i tend only to go out with mum friends. we generally binge on wine, tabs and thai!

bumperlicious · 30/08/2007 18:58

After DD being as good as gold yesterday I have had my payback and she has cried all day except for the 2 hour car journey and for about half hour while she slept and is still going. DH not back till late - I'm knackered. TA I tld you she was saving it up!

It's so unlike her, I wonder if she is poorly? She has done 2 poos today and TMI ALERT, one was a bit bitty, had white lumps in it. Is that normal or could she have a poorly belly?

Have a good night out Jamantha
I think it's about a year since I last went out without kids.

It's amazing how long a scorpion can live inside a sealed jar, I caught one of them a couple of weeks ago and it's still going. Is that cruelty to animals? I used to liberate them away from the house, then I started squashing them, but can't seem to bring myself to anymore, hence my dilema. Have considered puttting them both in the same jar to see what happens, but that's probably not a nice thing to do. I saw a documentary once, in China people eat them alive.

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 19:15

Well I've done my part of the bedtime feed, DH is now giving her her formula top up and settling her. I'm about to go out and I miss her already! How daft do I feel, missing her when I'm keen to go out and if I was at home I'd be willing her to stay quiet and asleep all evening? Got a feeling it's going to be hard NOT talking about her all the time after all. Ah well, time for me to be gone.

andiem · 30/08/2007 19:18

ooh nites out I think I can do that as lo goes down at 7 and doesn't need feeding again till gone midnight must ask some mummy friends at school next week

Have a lovely time Jamantha

Happy birthday JBM

Yuk yuk to scorpions sputnik I would be hysterical about catching them

foxy lol at wine tabs and thai I haven't had a tab for years and it made me want one

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 19:21

Enjoy your evening!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 19:23

might just settle for a single glass of wine, but have maxed out my WW points for today!

been 11 months since I last had a night out!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 19:25

Bumper, sorry, didn't mean to ignore you! Its not something I know about. Has she had any jabs recently? in the last 7 - 10 days?

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 19:27

ah i think we should all go out together! i'll show you a good time

NattyThomasandEllen · 30/08/2007 19:27

bumper forgive my memory.. is she formula fed?

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 19:29

Natty, I wouldn.t be able to keep up with you young 'uns!
