Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

My god you guys are chatty today. I have just finished about 4 weeks worth of ironing - ds' didn't have anything to wear .

We're having a day off today. Meant to go to park with friend but her lo is ill. So far we've watched Cars and Monsters Inc and done lots of lego playing. DH is out tonight and am really looking forward to all 3 being in bed so I can chill.

DS2 has just come in with a book so looks like I'm on reading duty again.

What would you do re rat situation? We could move but there is not much around at the moment that is either as big or as cheap as this one and the agents are doing all they can to fix the problem. I don't know if I have the energy to move given that we're leaving the country in 6 months.

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 15:17

So what do you do with scorpians in jars then Sputnik? Bloody hell....are they big?

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 15:17

Andiem you sound like my mum! She can't believe I leave the house with dd's toys all over the floor and the washing up not done!

annobal · 30/08/2007 15:17

Are the scorpions still alive?

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 15:18

Annobal - the council should deal with rats FOC....have you spoken to them?

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 15:18

Glad you've found somewhere bumper. Hope it all goes through ok and moving house isn't too stressful!

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 15:20

Andiem...I am the same as you...but may not be when I'm back at work and DD is growing up

annobal · 30/08/2007 15:22

No, I hadn't thought of that Charlie - will get in contact with them, thanks

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 15:23

I don't bother tidying! Having a manic 2 yo makes you give up on housework! You tidy and hoover and within an hour it's a bloody mess again! Why bother? I wait til she's gone to bed, by which point I'm so tired I just chuck the toys in the toy box and collapse on the sofa!

annobal · 30/08/2007 15:23

Bumper, that is great news about the flat, it sounds lovely.

Holly, glad you are feeling a bit better today .

The photos are lovely TA!!

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 15:25

Holly - despite my "tidy" nature...I'm sure I'll head that way eventually....its already getting like that with DH, dog and cat

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 15:26

i think my mil shudders at the untidyness here, which is why i get really stressed when i know she's coming as i feel i have to run around doing stuff.

one of the things my bil gave us was DNs christening gown. I would've thought she'd want to keep it, unless they plan on getting matching outfits for L and C.

hi annobal...has the feeding frenzy settled down?

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 15:27

Thanks annobal! My mum had dd for the night, so I didn't have to deal with her first thing this morning! It really makes a difference!

annobal · 30/08/2007 15:33

That does sound nice, Holly. I don't think I'll know what to do with myself next week when T&G are at nursery - 3 whole days with just me and ds3. Then my parents are coming from oz for 4 weeks so we'll all hopefully get a good rest (apart from my parents that is ).

Thanks Daisy, feeding not quite so bad today and had a bit better night last night. ds is still feeding at 2am and 5.30 though...

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 15:46

afternoon all.

happy birthday jbm xxx

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 16:07

Well a girl goes out for a walk and everyone gets chatting. I'll try not to get a complex that you all wait until I'm out the front door to have a good natter when I'm not around

Needed that walk though, really cleared my head (stuff had been getting me down this morning) and feel heaps better and looking forward again to my night out tonight. LO is still sleeping () after falling asleep in the pushchair, so might be able to go find a clean top and a bit of make up even.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to JBM (have i remembered that right?), and new flat sounds exciting Bumper, and whoever mentioned ironing - ?? can you remind me what that is? I remember my Mum doing something called ironing, and I know we do pocess an iron but it's so long since it saw daylight...

annobal · 30/08/2007 16:29

Ooh Jamantha, that sounds nice. Where are you off to?

Happy birthday JBM

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 16:30

Happy Birthday jbm! Just saw your birthday pop up on facebook! Hope you have a great day!

I am officially a cloth nappy convert! I got some diddy diapers this morning and they are LOVELY! They are really neat and fit really nicely and they look sooooo cute!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 16:44

aaah holly...i think dd looks like the fairy baby in her shaped terry nappies.

washing up done...next feed dd, make tea, then tackle the mountain of laundry in the back room so DH can find the desk for working at home tomorrow.....note how i refuse to call it ironing anymore . I haven't ironed for about 5 weeks now, feeling incredibly proud that I've managed to give up that particularly nasty habit.

Glad you enjoyed your walk Jamantha. I need to get out more and as of Tuesday, plan on going for an hour's walk after I've dropped DS off at school. It's really hilly around here as well so hoping it'll do wonders for my bum and thighs!

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 16:46

Good one daisy! Ironing is for the weak!!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 16:57

i think we have the next thread title there holly!

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 17:03

Send your ironing out! That's what I do and its BLISS ....my ironing lady has just been on holiday and it was hell ironing 3 shirts for DH and 3 t-shirts for me to keep us going till ironing is back tomorrow ....our wardrobes are nearly empty

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 17:03

lol, i second that as a thread title!

foxybrown · 30/08/2007 17:05

I second outsourcing domestic tasks!

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 17:07

I outsource domestic tasks to the housework fairy (ie it never gets done)!!
