Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

It's like Christmas in here

BIL and SIL have just dropped off six big storage boxes full of clothes for DD...from 3-6 months up to 2-3 years, plus shoes, sleeping bags, swimsuits, towels etc etc. I'm just going through it all now. I won't have to buy baby clothes ever again. hee hee.

Suits my inner pikey down to a T!!

trendaverter · 30/08/2007 13:45

anyone lurking? is everyone off being busy and popular and important?

Jamantha · 30/08/2007 13:52

I'm here but not much to say. PLaying with DD and her elephant - trying to get her interested in holding onto part of it instead of me just waving it at her

andiem · 30/08/2007 13:53

no just got back from exchanging los chair in john lewis and about to make beds urgh hate domestics

Hey daisy how fab lo obviously wears all ds old clothes but I couldn't resist some new ones

andiem · 30/08/2007 13:55

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 13:58

I'm lurking as well.....got housework to do tho

Pics were great TA

andiem · 30/08/2007 14:06

why are chores so boring I wish they could invent a more exciting way of doing them {grin} anyway will reward myself with a krispy kreme donut afterwards sticking to my diet hah

bumperlicious · 30/08/2007 14:15

Grrr, I've just got back from my mum's and there is no food in the house, no milk, nothing and DH is out for dinner tonight. He just doesn't think about shopping and I always make sure he has stuff for lunch and milk etc.

typical man then ....still nice to be home eh?

bumperlicious · 30/08/2007 14:24

Yeah, it's nice to be back.

Bless my dd, she's so funny, she is just staring at her hands!

We've found a flat btw, it's the one I saw on monday. Downsides: it's 1st floor, expensive and there's no washing machine. Upsides: it's huge, got central heating (we've got storage heaters at the moment) and in a nice area. So we'll be moving in about a month!

Oh that's good news - don't envy you though - I hate moving!!

certainly worth seeing if you can leave the buggy downstairs. Sounds lovely...

Are you off shopping now

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 14:40

men are rubbish like that bumper. when i went to scotland, dh emptied the fridge of everything for his camping trip. i got back at 5 on a sunday to an empty fridge. not helpful.

it took me an hour to go through all the clothes frim bil, sorting them out. there is some fab stuff and i know i used to buy fsr too much stuff for DS, but this is ridiculous....good for me now, but ridiculous!! it's mostly from next, gap, mexx and there are some lovely designer bits too. i'll have a very well dressed DD

eh??? don't know how that happened.

good news on the flat bumper...1st floor isn't the end of the world, can you leave the buggy in the car?

staring at hands is a developmental milestone...usu around 3 mo, so you can be very proud of her. there's a bit in our red book for filling in that sort of stuff!

andiem · 30/08/2007 14:43

my dh would do the same bumper or he would come back from shopping with pork pies cornish pasties and beer

Flat sounds good you must be excited

sputnik · 30/08/2007 14:45

Congratulations on finding a flat Bumper

Have just been tidying up, but have very little to show for it. I think I win this threads greatest slattern award.
I picked up 7 dirty nappies from the floor in various rooms
I made 3 trips to the compost heap and 3 to the car with rubbish
I cleaned the hob for the first time since the cleaning lady was here - nearly 2 months ago
I have 2 scorpions in jars outside the kitchen door I'm not sure what to do with

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 14:51

fuck...dd just grabbed my nipple again. jaysus that hurts

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 14:54

lol sputnik, i use my car as a moving rubbish bin too

i hope the nappies were just wet!

sputnik · 30/08/2007 15:06

No, they were not just wet
do I get the award then? I do, don't I ?

sputnik · 30/08/2007 15:10

I did actually throw the rubbish away, most of it was recycling stuff. It's a pain here as they have big communal bins and they're quite far away, so have to remember to take it out when I go in the car

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/08/2007 15:10

i've not done any washing up since Monday . have now run out of mugs, bowls and cutlery....

andiem · 30/08/2007 15:13

lordy lordy I am definitely anal and ocd listening to you lot I can't leave the house unless all beds made all tidying up done etc etc........

Charlie999 · 30/08/2007 15:15

You need a dishwasher Daisy

loonylovegood · 30/08/2007 15:16

Lol I don't feel so bad about my disgusting house now!! I did the washing up for the first time since monday this morning as well daisy! We can be slatterns together! I also have mildew behind the toilet from when the cistern was leaking a few weeks ago. I haven't cleaned it off yet! YUK!

Got loads of nappies this morning! I'm really excited! Gonna go and try them all now!!
