bumperlicious · 29/08/2007 22:02

Daisy, when you had thrush, what were the symptoms? I keep getting shooting pains in my boobs, and my nips are ever so tender. Is it normal for them to be so tender at this stage?

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:03

Evening chicks! Sorry I didn't get to meet you today !

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:04

TA you still up for coming to see me with your pup?

trendaverter · 29/08/2007 22:05

yes!
I said in an earlier post, I can still come friday but am free on the tuesday now if you prefer?

trendaverter · 29/08/2007 22:06

Holly also meant to say if you can ever get train to slough or whatever I am always happy to pick you up from there if there is a meet up.

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:09

It's entirely up to you. I am free both days, my mum is back at school from monday so I am going to be very lonely! Whichever day suits you best.

I am v jealous of you all meeting up!

Daisy, if you are still around, I got the blue fleece wrap from the lady that makes them on ebay and it is lovely! Much nicer than the totsbots ones that I got today!

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:09

Thanks TA, you are lovely!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 22:12

bumper, i was getting pains that were shooting from my nipple into my armpits. they would start halfway through a feed, were intense for about an hour and then intemittent till the next feed. My nipples looked paler than usual and sort of shiny. DD had nothing in her mouth, but was very dribbly.

Nipples are still really sore and breasts tender, but shooting pains have gone. think sore nips may be due to better sucking on DDs part.

I posted on your other thread last night. Can you get back to the baby cafe and see the BF counsellor? or is your HV clued up? I saw the doc, but she didn't gove me the right dose so called my HV who came over with my prescription. She is an NCT trained BF Champion.....whatever that is!

trendaverter · 29/08/2007 22:13

ok well will let you know Monday, I am going back home on sunday, if the house is a shit tip I might be too knackered from clearing it up!
And not lovely, I just know what it's like to be bored and lonely.

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:17

Great TA, let me know whenever, I won't be busy!

I really need to go to bed now whilst ds is asleep. I have spent most of the day weeping through tiredness, so I think bed may be a good idea!

Love to all xxx

PS bumper hope your boobs are better soon!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 22:17

cheers holly....i think i might get some of her stuff. I hope you enjoy your diddy diapers. I've got a bimble which is similar and it is lovely. she looks like the fairy baby in it.

she's off to bed in a fluffle tonight...huge bum, but again very very cute!

TBH though, i've been using terries and find them just as good as the shaped ones. She always manages to get poo on the leg cuffs of her wraps regardless of what nappy she's in, so may just get some bamboo squares when she outgrows all her shaped nappies.

Kushies are a waste of space....only last about an hour and a half and the poo was running down her legs on sunday...bleargh!

bumperlicious · 29/08/2007 22:18

HV? What HV? haven't seen her for about 6 weeks! I was inspecting my nips earlier and they loo a bit white. I will keep and eye out and see if it gets better and if not go to the dr's. It's hard to know what is normal pain an dme being a hyperchondriac and what might actually be something wromg.

trendaverter · 29/08/2007 22:18

Oh Holly I know what that is like too
You are having a shit day. Go get sleep and things will be easier tomorrow!

bumperlicious · 29/08/2007 22:20

Jeez I'm so tired my typing is sh*t, sorry!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 29/08/2007 22:21

I'm off to bed. Night all x
Will see if I can get hold of a card reader tomorrow.

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 22:21

I agree daisy, Kushies are shite! The trouble is I have hundreds of them (was given them when dd was little) and I hate them! I might just put them on ebay.

Right am going to bed now before I start crying again!

xxx

bumperlicious · 29/08/2007 22:21

Hope you feel better soon Holly. I know how you feel about feeling lonely, I'm feeling the same. Don't have any mum friends either (not in RL anyway), so a meet up would be good.

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 29/08/2007 22:22

I'm going to go too. Looking forward to going back to DH tomorrow Night all x

when i called my hv she said she was glad i had the courage to call as so many women don't bother! it's policy here to only do the initial visit then leave it up to the mum to contact them if needs be.

Do call...it wasn't my named hv as she was on holiday, but the lady (well girl tbh) i saw was fantastic and i shall be asking for her from here on in!

Don't suffer for too long as it will be harder to shift. I'm keeping a close eye on things and if it isn't gone completely or returns i'll be right back.
This ight help identify your symtoms, and if you think it IS thrush, take a copy of THIS with you as docs don't seem too clued up on it!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 22:30

aw holly, sorry you're feeling a bit crap and teary.

i think we're all feeling a bit tired and emotional at the moment, i've had a few days of navel gazing and an emotional session with the MH nurse today so feeling a bit wrung out as well

Positive thinking ladies...we are all fab mums doing a very difficult, but ultimately very rewarding job.

Night all.
