Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't know if I can do this! The journey is a nightmare and my dd is not behaving. I can see myself sat on a train full of commuters sobbing! Apart from anything I can't get onto the bloody platform at my station without going up and down 3 flights of stairs, there is no lift or ramp. I really want to come, but I don't know if I can cope. I also won't be there til 1ish, which seems a bit pointless really.

AAARRRRSSSEEEE!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 09:38

not quite sparkling charlie....maybe slightly less dusty!

holly, sorry about your travel woes! i hope you get there with your sanity intact. have you got colouring books, travel games and bribes in the form of inappropriate snacks at the ready??

nice as it is sitting with a sleeping dd on my lap and enjoying the peace and quiet without ds charging round fighting imaginary dragons/dinosaurs/bad guys/lions , this isn't getting on with the day.

MH nurse coming today for my PND quiz.....gotta get tidy so there's at least a thin veneer of calm, efficient coping going on on top of all the madness

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 09:40

holly.....isn't ta near you? can you not get yourself within range of her and she can pick you up? give her a call quick as she may not have set off yet.

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 09:50

I'm here Daisy!

am not sure if i'm going to make it today, but i'm only 30 mins away so am seeing how it goes.

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 09:54

Holly, you put me to shame - its such a huge effort for you to go, and here I am being pathetic!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 09:58

foxy, you must be getting close to end of school holiday emotional meltdown. ds at his gps so i'm enjoying a taste of things to come.....aaaahhhhh, lovely.....tea, warm baby, my choice of daytime tv, no constant strains of i'm bored, i'm hungry, want jetix! etc etc etc.

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 10:03

AH-HA! is that the technical term for it Daisy? I've really enjoyed the holiday, but suddenly next week can't come soon enough and I feel guilty! Also DS2 starts school properly on Wednesday. Although he's been in the nursery so its not a huge step, its still making me a bit wobbly. And the two mornings DD1 is as nursery I have earmarked as gym mornings, so am not really looking forward to that either.

Jeez, there's just no pleasing some, is there?

Sometimes (like right now) I want to scream

"I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK WHAT THE FUCKING YELLOW RANGER CAN FUCKING DO!!!" But that would make me a very bad mother.

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 10:04

I'm not gonna come, I'm really upset, but I just don't think I can manage it. It's really hot and I'll just end up all stressed and sweaty and I won't have a good time. I feel really shitty about it, I really wanted to come.

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 10:05

Awww, don't be sad, there will be other meet-ups.

My mum would have taken me to the station, but my bloody big buggy won't fit in her shitty little car! She is going to take me shopping instead because I cried!

Have a lovely time everyone xxx

annobal · 29/08/2007 10:16

unfortunately i'm out for today. shitty night with ds3 feeding every 2 hours and ds1's face looks as though he's been dragged along by a car .

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 10:19

I just bought some diddy diapers to cheer myself up!!

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 10:21

Oh I don't know what to do now BZ! E was talking about E just yesterday. But I'm in such a foul mood and really need a break from my kids.

But they are driving me mad here. I am just SO tired

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 10:25

Ahh, but does he have a partner?!!!

BadZelda · 29/08/2007 10:38

Well that's what DH is there for - we can get him to wrangle all the kids whilst we sit and chill with the babies and eat cake: sounds like a plan to me!

foxybrown · 29/08/2007 10:43

I want to sit in my bed, drinking tea and eating cake and finishing off my book. (The Memory Keepers Daughter, very good, would recommend BTW).

Its not going to happen, is it?

DD2 is chatting away to no-one in her chair. She is perfectly content and happy. Awwww.
