Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

OP posts:

annobal · 28/08/2007 21:33

LOL Daisy. How do you know about the used knicker market??? Glad you're getting use out of them - they were sitting in my cupboard gathering dust

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 21:37

I'm looking at all alternative sources of income so I don't have to go back to work in the spring .

I hope your DS is OK annobal, he will probably be sore in the morning...ouch!

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 21:37

Night Andie and Faylisa - see you tomorrow x

Oh annobal - hope DS is OK!

Blimey Daisy - horrible isn't it all this work stuff. I got a round robin e-mail from work this week saying they are looking to "reassess senior clinical and scientific posts".....what a nightmare...think i'm ok but you never know! When I joined the NHS many moons ago, it used to be a job for life....not these days....

annobal · 28/08/2007 21:37

Sorry Natty (we had this problem last year when DH went freelance)

Charlie999 · 28/08/2007 21:38

I've got to go back to work on 4th December....

trendaverter · 28/08/2007 21:58

sorry ladies I buggered off to watch TV!

I have added Andiem and faylisa to my friends so you should be able to see my profile (and mobile) now.
Looking fwd to seeing you all tomorrow!

loonylovegood · 28/08/2007 22:04

Natty, once a rental company we rented from asked for over £2000 for us to move into a house because our credit rating was bad. I did it and put it on my credit card, which I couldn't afford to pay off leading to a worse credit rating! It's a big cycle of shit isn't it once you get into it?! I really do feel for you. If worse comes to worse the council HAVE to rehome you. They cannot allow you to become homeless, because you have children. It's the law. You will not end up on the streets. Hope it works out for you soon.

I'm off in a min, need to get some energy for my 2 hour train journey with my little witch dd! See some of you tomorrow xx

Not really DG . i've got an IKEA futon stool full of the stuff, plus about six carrier bags with various works-in-progress behind the sofa.

strangely living in the heart of yarn manufacturing country....decent wool shops are few and far between!

Can you suggest some good wool for wraps then?

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:26

Why wil my cat not eat the prawns out of my spring roll?
(Celebration in the Butterflew house as - pikey alert - DH has finally received some income support today after 6+ weeks living on child benfit and tax credits. His boss has still not paid him the 2 weeks owed or any holiday pay and appears to have been on the fiddle with NI, the last wage he got was SPL. No wonder we are always skint.)

It has taken me ages to catch up. Hope I don't miss anyone out, am thinking of you all.

natty, I know it's no help but we have crap credit rating too (always have had because Dh gave his ex so much stuff after their divorce that he has always been udesirable except to me - until now!). Our council cocked up our CT benefit claim last time DH had his op and we are still paying for it. I so know what you mean about just wanting to enjoy your babies. Hang on in there.

charlie - I don't know anything about these modern prams either. I am STILL using the 2in1 my sister sold me for DS1 when she emigrated 10 years ago. I bought a M&P travel system yesterday at a car boot sale but it is a mystery to me really.

daisy - glad you enjoyed your B-H. We went to the Bridestones in Dalby Forest (worth a visit next time you are out this way - near Pickering, £7 toll fee but pushchair friendly walking, playgrounds and BBQs. Its my green therapy). DS3 loved being in the carrier. DS2 grabbed a stinging nettle with both hands and hardly flinched. He was wearing his ebay walking boots and was like a little mountain goat. Thanks for the pant info (apparently DS2 was dry at night all last week when he was with GPs)

I am rambling too long

Re Clarks shoes. If anyone is close enough it is worth going to Kendal (Lake District) to the K shop where they sell old line of clarks shoes at discount. They fit them properly and everything)

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:32

BTW, for DS1 I made my own washable breast pads out of terry nappies.

Am glad you feel better TA and glad DSs day went well.
Hi foxy & sputnik & bumper & everyone I've forgotten. Am too tired.., I suspect tonight will be a "wish I had bottles" night!

love to trace & chloe

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:34

Also (final commets of night) I am the fattest June Mnetter!

Does anyone else have crumbs-in-clevage issues?!

I got a realy high score in my PND quiz with HV today, I didn't get a prize tho...

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 23:41

cheers ria for the clarks info...there is a clarks outlet (and start-rite) at the outlet centre near castleford, but i couldn't be arsed with the drive today. although our finances are looking very bleak so will need to economise in future....

I've heard of the bridestones and seen oics...they look amazing.

Have you been to Brimham rocks near Harrogate...more weirdy yorkshire gritstone rock formations. DS loves it, but I age 10 years each time we go as I'm convinced he's going to kill himself.

Right am off to bed. I feel knackered all day, but am wide awake at bedtime and can't sleep!

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:41

sorry, can't keep away.

Does anyone know any good links to baby massage sites? When DS2 was a baby we did a class with HV and she gave us a print out of routine. Now have new HV and can't find info sheet. Don't really want to go to classes at surestart centre as it's in next town...

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 23:45

is a high score good or bad?

Mental health nurse coming to do my quiz tomorrow...I should have told her not to bother...i know what the outcome will be!

daisyandbabybootoo · 28/08/2007 23:47

Baby Massage

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:52

DS1 tried climbing yesterday but I told him it was not a good ecological thing (he is nearly an ecowarrior!).
We sometimes go to Brimham Rocks when we go to Knaresborough on "Wedding anniversary pilgrimage" (had wedding night in Knaresboro' - gawd, 12 years next year!)

MIL goes to castleford outlet. Think we went with her once... Kendal is not as impressive as it used to be, but still cheaper I think.

I cannot cope with driving - even as a passenger. When we came to Leeds last week by the time we arrived I was completely knackered from being so tense and nervy. Had only just relaxed when we set off for home. Think Mr. T. - Ineed sedating!

DH has another check up around 18th Sept. If I can offload DS2s school pickup maybe we could arrange a Leeds meet-up?

Night night. Have a good day tomrrow you southerners!

riabutterflew · 28/08/2007 23:54

thanks daisy!

High score bad! Good luck for yours!

We should both go to bed now!

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 08:43

Ria...a meet-up would be great. Won't the DCs be at school? If they're with you, Tropical World would be good!

All quiet here this morning as you're all off to talk to each other for real

I'm doing housework today....yippeeeeee

Charlie999 · 29/08/2007 08:59

morning Daisy - I'm here for a while! Just eating brekkie and about to load up the car!

My LO has finally started sleeping through the night - well sort of anyway...for the 3rd night she slept till 5.30am took a feed and slept for another couple of hours...yay

daisyandbabybootoo · 29/08/2007 09:12

you'll be feeling fresh as a daisy then charlie. i hope it continues. dd slept till 7:30 this morning so a bit of a lie-in for me! ds is usually up between 6 and 6:30.

have a good meet-up....and someone take pictures this time!!!!

loonylovegood · 29/08/2007 09:18

AARRRGGGHHH!! No-one can take me to the big station, so I'll have to go from the poxy tiny station near my house. That means I'll have to change trains 4 times and it'll take 2 1/2 hours! Arse! I'll see everyone there after 12!

Charlie999 · 29/08/2007 09:27

Oh blimey Holly - wish I could help - sounds like a nightmare journey. See you a bit later.

Camera is in the bag...

Your house will be sparkling by this afternoon Daisy

andiem · 29/08/2007 09:36
