Morning all

JBM Boden have fab stuff (there I have confessed I am a Boden addict have just bought fab rainy day jacket for school run and snow suit for lo) lovely wrap dresses

Daisy sorry you had a shite day glad the hv was good and gave you the right stuff

lol at everyone swearing never to do jiggy again. lo was ivf so no jiggy involved there either unless you count dh in a room with a dodgy dvd. One of my friends at the clinic told me her dh had a clip on his laptop that let him do the job asap as he couldn't bear to be in the room with everyone waiting outside one ivf attempt got preg on my own as dh was in states that is an immaculate conception

Holly bottom thing sounds really yuk I can't bear to look at where my stitches are I tore my skin right round so pooing became a big issue in this house for 2 weeks ie none happened

Annobal we will have to call you trinny and refer all style issues to you the vests sound great I would love to wear a dress but couldn't work out how I would not expose my whole chest

Off to look at tiles for our bathroom today I am sadly very excited

andiem · 25/08/2007 09:23

cross posting bumper how was the house search last night?

bumperlicious · 25/08/2007 09:37

Hi andiem, it was ok, nothing special. we are not desperate yet so don't want to grab the first thing we find. Got to keep looking, which is a real drag.

holly...not sure how you're getting onwith your web stuff....but thought you might find THIS interesting!

Thrush meds are kicking in now, and feeding/aftermath not quite so painful. Still having latching ishoos though which I need to work on, but that probably won't be till after DS goes back to school. Then I think babyboo and I are going to have a couple of duvet days!

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 10:26

Thanks daisy, I've posted on that thread! It's far too much for me to do on my own!

Glad the meds are kicking in, it must be such a relief!

What wraps have you got? I'm getting v confused!

Hope the house hunting goes ok bumper. I hate looking for places to rent, it's really shitty!

andiem · 25/08/2007 10:40

glad things are better today Daisy I still have latching pain and I remember from ds1 that it went around 12 weeks completely so looking froward to that

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/08/2007 10:46

wraps...I have a motherease rikki which i bought from flame and is great...have ordered more!

I've also got some that came with the second hand stuff I ordered...two Prorap and an old style Totsbots. the tots wrap doesn't have leg gussets, so I've had a little bit of leakage, but the new ones have leg gussets. The prorap ones are good as well.

The Rikki are great and are quite tight fitting so good for BF poo. The newer gusseted tots might be good for William since he's a skinny malinky; they have an overlap on the velro fastening so will give quite a slim fit.

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 10:54

Thanks daisy. I have a couple of bambino mio wraps which are great, but I need a couple more and I wanted something different. I was looking at the totsbots coz they are so pretty! I was also looking at these. It looks like the woman makes them and some of them are lovely. She has great feedback too, so they must be good!

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/08/2007 11:04

Holly, it's worth getting one of those wraps at that price just to try them out.

You're an ebay/paypal guru, aren't you?

I've paid for two orders recently using paypal and they have gone through as e-cheques, which the sellers have told me can take 2 weeks to clear , and flames website didn't acknowledge the order so I had to go and re-order it all again. Means I won't get my new wraps and nappies, and more importantly my lidded nappy bin, for aaaaages.

No idea what I've done....i thought paypal was instant?

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 11:07

Echeques happen when paypal takes the money directly from your bank rather than a credit or debit card. If you set up funding on your paypal from a card rather than from your bank then this won't happen! You can cancel the echeque and set up card funding now and then pay instantly!

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/08/2007 11:22

cheers holly...just spoke to DH (his paypal account) and he said that he got some e-mails from them recently about changing the way they run the accounts, which he didn't pay much attention to, but now he thinks about it, he may have changed it to come from his account rather than from his card.

I would've thought that coming directly from the account would be quicker? . Maybe its to help prevent fraud or something.

I'll just wait for them to clear this time, but get him to change back to his card.....or I can always sort out my own paypal account!

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 11:28

It is because when it comes from your account it is classed as a direct debit, whereas when it comes from your card it is a instant payment, like in a shop.

I've just ordered one of these. Gonna buy another one from her to reduce postage, but can't decide which one.

daisyandbabybootoo · 25/08/2007 13:29

cheers holly....all is clear now!

I'll just wait for the stuff as I've managed with what I've got this far. I like the look of that e-bay shop, everything is a really good price.

Of course I'm now thinking I could make my own nappies, LOL

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 14:28

Glad I could help daisy!! Those wraps look lovely don't they? I'll let you know what they are like when I get mine. I'm looking at more now! This is too addictive!

foxybrown · 25/08/2007 14:31

Hellooo, lovely day!

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 14:32

Hey foxy! Got the paddling pool out?

foxybrown · 25/08/2007 14:35

when i can get lo off my boob! did you get my text? Was going to put it on here, but too much to type one handed!

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 14:40

Lol, I was walking around the house all of yesterday with a baby attached!

Yes, I got your text, made me laugh!

I need to stop nappy shopping now, I'm going to spend all the money I got for my pushchair!

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 14:48

Going to shop to buy ice cream now! Back later xx

BadZelda · 25/08/2007 17:28

Happy birthday Annobal! Happy Birthday Derlor!
I have just done something nasty to my calf muscle....popping sound followed by agonising pain...doesn't sound good ;(

TALLULAHBELLE · 25/08/2007 18:41

Just popped in to say hi to the birthday girls - hope you both had lovely days.

My DD screamed for 5 hrs today - I fed her ( 3 times ), changed her, put her in her swing, basket, chair, carrycot, carried her around in her sling for 40 mins, carted her about in my arms, my mum came over & tried it all too. We took her out in the pissing rain & pushed her about in the pram for 2 hrs. Still she screamed. Got home an hour ago, gave her a feed & then she sat on my knee smiling away as if sweet and disposition were her middle names. AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Did I do something truly evil in a past life?

Bought my terry nappies though - DM has taken them home to wash for me & will give me a master class in folding tomorrow.

loonylovegood · 25/08/2007 19:15

Ow BZ, how hideous! Hope it is better!

Happy birthday to the birthday chicks xxx

Mums know everything useful don't they T? Mine has yet to show me how to fold a terry, I need to buy some nippas first, I'm too scared of pins! I'm still shopping for wraps, it's fun!

sputnik · 25/08/2007 20:04

Poor you Tallulah, 5 hours is a long time.

It's been 40 degrees centigrade today. That is too hot. I'd rather be in Glasgow

riabutterflew · 25/08/2007 20:29

hope lo is cheery now T - maybe she will be so tired out she'll sleep all night

calf thing sounds nasty bz - hope it heals quickly

happy birthday birthday girls. hope you get everything you want and nothing you don't

my boys come home tomorrow. i am pleased but another day would have been nice. hope the weather is nice as we are having a bbq to thank the deserving gps. I suppose i shouldn't stay on here all night a our quality time is nearly over.

riabutterflew · 25/08/2007 20:32

i think my dad might be the original new age man.he was only saying the other day he doesn't think he could remember how to fold a terry!

i am getting tempted by all this talk of reusables, but i'm sure i can't afford it. if you are a true pikey do the dwp subsidise you?!
