Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 21:45

i spent ages looking at hideoulsy...knew it was wrong, but couldn't figure out what...

....my brain is in melt-down!

Charlie, I'm impressed that you even had the need for a pregnancy test. DH and I have "jigged" once in the last 11.5 weeks since DD was born (add in the 10 weeks before that and ).

LOL when you count your child's age in weeks, it kind of focusses the mind on your lack of sexual activity somewhat

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 21:46

bugger...I've scared everyone off, haven't I.

Look, I'm smiling.....

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 21:46

SOrry about the thrush daisy, sounds really ouchy! Hope you can clear it up soon!

I'm busy looking at wraps on ebay. I can see this being very expensive and addictive!

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 21:47

Accept and decide closer to the time Daisy. I was invited to a pre-awards do with DP after DD1 was born and it would have been ab fab, glam and all that, but I just couldn't face it on the day . He went on his own (and I still got the fab party bag!)

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 21:47

Poor Daisy - tomorrow has got to be better.

Must have missed out @ my 6 (well 8 )week check. Nurse took BP & some blood cos she said I looked pale and aenemic. Well doesn't no sleep tend to do that to a person!? That was it. No weighing, no internal, didn't check my tummy, no query as to my phys/ment health. Total waste of time. I did say to her that was still having nipple pain on b/f & she helpfully suggested that b/f isn't the be all & I could always give it up. Gee thanks for your professional opinion!

Anyway just put DD down & she seems to be quiet so gonna head off to bed myself. If its anything like last night better get some zzzzzz while I can. Night All!

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 21:48

Aww daisy, sorry you are having a sucky day. Enjoy your cake!

Think I'm going to order one of flame's started packs when I get paid. Even if I only have a few real nappies that's got to be better than nothing

Eww @ scorpion sputnik! Bleughhh!

JBM how about this or these or this? Team them with a little cardi or pashmina for the breastfeeding and you will look fab!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 24/08/2007 21:49

I am never jigging again.

Ever.

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 21:51

Me either foxy! I can't bear to even think about it! I also think I have an anal fissure !! Was that too much sharing?

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 21:52

Tallulah, mine wasn't much more than that either - no contraception talk, no internal, weighing anything really.

Are you guys seeing your HV's still? I last saw mine before I lost water, and haven't seen her since. She told me to go to the clinic if I want DD weighed, but last appointment must have been when she was 5 or 6 weeks.

OP posts:
Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:54

foxy....yeah right!

Blimey my DH wouldn't last very long!!!

Test was really to rule out any gynae problems as my scan didn't show anything specific...even so...what a relief . I was pretty sure it would be negative so refused to spend a lot of money on them - bought 2 for 75p off e-bay...tight-arse that I am!

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 21:54

Ouch Holly! Is that what having an 11lb baby does to you?

I don't think I'm doing it again either! If DD is sleeping I want to be eating, mnetting, sleeping, showering or doing housework in that order of priority. Jiggy is waaay down the list.

Better go, DH is looking bored!

OP posts:
Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:56

oooowwww Holly...shounds sore!

Bumper - my HV said to ring if I needed anything otherwise she would see DD in clinic when she had jabs.

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:56

sounds...obviously

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 21:57

Bumper, I only saw the HV cos I phoned to ask whether I had the right dose of fluconazole...I then burst into tears causing her to come around straight away bearing a new prescription and claiming she was a breast feeding "champion" (whatever that is, but apparently backed by the NCT!)

She was great...better than my named HV.

and to think I was broody only a few days ago. I'm never jigging again either....the only effective contraception is NO

holly....not TMI, only a few weeks ago we were familiar with each other's mucous discharges FFS....

btw...what exactly is an anal fissure, if that's not too personal a question.

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 21:58

I saw my HV once. By the time you get to number 4 they can't be arsed, or they think you know it all.

Which I do. Obviously.

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 22:00

Right off to watch 10pm Eastenders - night all...will catch up Sunday

Daisy....take it easy and look after yourself

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 22:04

Im off to join DH. He doesn't believe I haven't been on here all day!

annobal · 24/08/2007 22:12

Ouch Holly.

Hope tomorrow is better Daisy

No sports in this household either, ever again! I did say that after DS1 adn DS2 though

I'm off too - DS will be awake soon for his 3 hourly feed

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 22:14

I'm off for final feed and read in bed.

night x

riabutterflew · 24/08/2007 22:20

my six week check went-
has bleeding stopped? yes. Any period - no. Are you BF? Yes. Ah wouldn't expect a period then. Are you depressed? Not yet. Thank crunchie they didn't weigh me.No internal either but am due a smear - tmi[yuk]

And then we moved on to LO. My HV weighed & measured LO at 6weeks (seems the Dr doesn't do that), I went to clinic at 7weeks and she wrote the weight down wrong (sorry Derlor) and told me I needed to feed more (what is more than constant?) so I went again at 8 weeks to check he was gaining (no eyelids batted at the MASSIVE gain in a week) and again at 9 weeks to see what a normal week was. Aren't going any more! She is coming for a home visit next week for my PND assessment. Yippee!

riabutterflew · 24/08/2007 22:23

am i weird because I find David Tennant strangley attractive? even as a dark wizard... (tho obviously prefer the Doctor for his mind).

This is what happens when DH is at home, he watches too much TV, I get drawn in (i am even missing stargate sg1 for goodness sake. I HATE SCI-FI.)

justbeme · 24/08/2007 22:30

well ive just watched BB eviction
thanks for links Bumper - they are nice but far too glam for me!!
You are obv. one glam lady!!
have had a quick look at top shop - will look at Boden 2mrow.

Night all X

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 22:35

Has everyone gone?

Ds has just drained me and gone to sleep on his dad, so I can now continue my nappy shopping!

Anal fissure is like a split in your bowel. V painful and blood when pooing! Nothing can be done about and it usually heals on its own. Bloody hurts though!

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 23:05

Obv scared everyone off with my bum story!

Night xx

bumperlicious · 25/08/2007 09:21

I had that for a while holly, was farking painful, I assumed it was piles. Better now though of it's own accord. Hope yours gets better soon!
