sputnik · 24/08/2007 20:54

Happy birthday for tomorrow to Annobal and Derlor, have a good one both of you

Baby Sputnik just slept through..... the whole afternoon from 1 til 7 well he woke up to eat then just went back to sleep

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 20:56

ooh, its tempting to switch ... but I have enough washing to do! Rather fetching though, and would match her baby-gro and hat!

How are you Holly and Daisy? Good lurking Daisy

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 20:57

Happy birthday to the birthday girls!

Hey daisy and sputnik! We are all fine here! Tried a bambinomio today with a prefold and it lasted for a good few hours. Was v impressed! Just looking for more on ebay now.

Hope everyone is well!

loonylovegood · 24/08/2007 20:58

Hey foxy too!

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 20:59

So you've had a lovely peaceful afternoon Sputnik! Did you make the most of it and rest?

sputnik · 24/08/2007 21:05

Spent most of my afternoon on the sofa in front of the laptop holding a sleeping baby
also got lotss of laundry done and a bit of cleaning.

Oh fuck there's a fucking scorpion on the wall

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 21:10

at least its not in your hair ....

.... yet

what do you do with a scorpion on your wall? squish it?

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:11

Eugh - scorpian! Sod that

Evening all

Happy birthday to the birthday girls for tomorrow - I won't be on MN ALL day....visiting MIL...fun

I've turned into a domestic godess since stopping work...on the dog's walk yesterday I picked loads of blackberry's (had to put them in a nappy sack as I'd forgotten my bowl ) and have made a apple and blackberry crumble for tonight and an apple and blackberry pie with puff pastry to take to MILs tomorrow [smug]

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:12

aren't they like cockroaches and have a hard body - so can't be squished? Oh bloody hell...makes me shudder just thinking about it....and I've always wanted to go to Italy ...not so sure now

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:13

Blimey- my grammar is appalling ...I am an educated person...honestly

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 21:15

I'm shitey shitey shite today...hence only lurking whilst DH has gone to pharmacy for me.

Defo got thrush...very sore and nasty and making me cry every time I feed ...combined with 12 wk growth spurt and PND day from hell , reversing into the bin and denting my car (again) and nearly being run off the road by a nutter, sobbing down the phone at the HV, DH, and being driven to the point of violence by my DS ...he pushed down hard on DDs face whilst she was in her cot, but that's no excuse really .....day 81 in the babyboo house not one that will be remembered for fun and frolics.

..although DS and I did ahve a lovely game of blindly hitting a ball with a bat in the hope it would go somewhere near the opponent...I mean tennis, in PILs back garden.

and DH brought me a gluten free cake from selfridges which says use by 24th...thankfully its small, as there's not much left of the 24th!

sorry...will go bck to lurking!

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 21:19

Poor Daisy! Thrush is so fucking excrutiatingly painful . Makes me cringe thinking about it. I really feel for you.

Hi Charlie, or should we call you Nigella?!

annobal · 24/08/2007 21:20

lol Foxy - it's not HIS birthday

LOL JBM, wish I had Trinny's body! Have a look on the topshop website - they have some really nice things and not too expensive (I got loads of tops from there to wear while pg). Also have a look at, dare i say it, boden as they have some nice wrap dresses.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Charlie999 · 24/08/2007 21:21

oh blimey Daisy

don't know what to say.....hope tomorrow is better...hopefully ADs will kick in a bit more now you've stopped taking them with alcohol

Tomorrow is another day....can DD have formula just this once during the night so you can get some rest and a break from the pain?

Hope you feel better

trendaverter · 24/08/2007 21:23

My dog just did an andrex puppy at my parents house....it was somewhat messy

annobal · 24/08/2007 21:23

Poor you Daisy, I hope you get it cleared up soon and tomorrow is better.

Charlie, that sounds lovely. Can I have some?

annobal · 24/08/2007 21:24

Was it as cute as when the andrex puppy does it TA?

trendaverter · 24/08/2007 21:27

Oh Daisy sounds like you are having a shit time, you poor thing

trendaverter · 24/08/2007 21:28

Annobal...oh nooooo not cute

think crazed overexcited spaniel having the time of his life, not cute bouncy puppy being all fluffy

riabutterflew · 24/08/2007 21:30

daisy.hope you have a better day tomorrow.

foxy - i was going to say that about dps! just couldn't work out how to get it into the conversation.

I was wondering about having the sandra bullock haircut from that film. i thought keanu was a bit porky (but fat cows in glass houses should leave the stones in the rockery)

daisyandbabybootoo · 24/08/2007 21:39

cheers guys....but, the nature of clouds and silver linings.....HV is putting me down as a priority on the baby massage course! They are hideoulsy over subscribed (as it's free)and there is a four/five month waiting list!

charlie, hopefully DD won't wake up in the night, but if she does formula is a fab idea...and one that I hadn't actually thought of!

Sorry if I've put a damper on the evening.

Holly that wrap looks lovely. I've ordered one of those (but in pink gingham, not leopard)

DH and I have got an invite to a gallery opening in a couple of weeks in Bradford. The great and good of the Yorkshire arts scene plus local dignitaries will be there. The invite says the dress code is "dress up" and I have nothing to wear. Should I stay or should I go? Also we may have probs getting babysitter as PILs will be on holiday
