Well - made it to post natal shape up. Big waste of time as DD fussed, cried & fed through entire class - think managed about 2 mins of the warm up & 30 secs of relaxation at end. Still at least walked there & back tho' going for coffe & caramel shortcake after the class probably cancels that out. Think i need to join the weight watchers on this thread. Motivation & willpower needed desperately.

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 18:06

hi all, just darting in whilst feeding.

bumper, good luck with the houses. isolated wouldn't suit me either, baby-mates kept me sane the first year (i had RL ones in those days!) we are considering a move to the sea-side in a few years, you can get a 6 bed house with a bloody "sewing room" in Norfolk for what we'd get for our flat. Its madness!

Charlie OMG at the test! I can't even think about IT let alone its consequences!!!

hope everyone else is ok, well done TA on getting there!

BZ I meant to say the other day, have you been swimming at The Latchmere? its a great pool for lo's.

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 18:08

Well done for getting there anyway T! might be better next week. how are you doing generally?

andiem · 24/08/2007 18:08

I have ordered the cook yourself thin book from amazon hoping it will be the answer to my prayers ie can stuff cake and stll lose weight

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 18:29

Hi Foxy - am doing OK. Missing DH but at least dont have to come up with excuses to avoid 'getting back in the saddle'

bumperlicious · 24/08/2007 18:37

Ooh, andiem, I have that too. Looks fab! Now I just have to find time to cook!

T well done on getting to the class. I wish there was a postnatal class here. Right off to another house. One that we were going to see has been let already

Also feeding so typing one handed! Bumper, cottage sounds lovely but then I was brought up on a farm in rural oz so maybe don't listen to me.

Well done t on the getting to the excercise class. It will be better next time. Think you are doing amazingly for not having dh around.

I remember the latchmere - i lived in brixton when i first came to the uk andwent to yoga there.

What's everyone doing this weekend? we've got a few friends visiting but going to be pretty low key. My god, i turn 36 tomorrow. Feels a bit of a non-event but think i may have to treat myself to some new clothes.

Daisy, i've sent you an email...

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 18:51

oooh, you're having a birthday! are you going to do something nice?

Happy birthday for tomorrow (just incase i forget to say it on the day!) xx

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 18:56

Oh i'm confused. Thought it was Derlor having a bday. Have I got the facebook personas mixed up ?

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 18:56

Oh and have a lovely day Annobal

annobal · 24/08/2007 18:59

Thanks Foxy. I have a friend calling over for lunch which should be nice. I've sort of forgotten about it this year though.

Think it is derlor's birthday too - Happy birthday Derlor - have a good one

TALLULAHBELLE · 24/08/2007 19:03

So not losing my marbles then. Happy Birthday for tomorrow Derlor.

riabutterflew · 24/08/2007 19:10

I haven't done nice things like look up peoples birthdays and stuff. Hope you both have a lovely day tomorrow.

I would go for the cottage too bumper, but I grew up on farm in the middle of nowhere too (we got snowed in for ages on my first birthday - they had to transport milk for me from the village to somewhere my dad could collect it, and I got a homemade rag doll - which I still have - for my present. Just like something out of Heartbeat/James Herriot or similar- Postman Pat! -, but I'm not quite that old!) I would love having no neighbours and not having to see anyone unless I wanted to, but then I am a miserable git with no social skills.

I have done sod all today. Went to the bank to open an account for LO, and the supermarket, that is it. DH is cooking tonight. Hope I don't have to "pay"!

justbeme · 24/08/2007 19:10

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Derlor and Annobal! What have you asked for?

Had My 6 week check up today - Doctor reckons im 0.5kg lighter than june 06!!
however, went with my sister to try and find something to wear to a wedding/40th that ive been invited to - Ive gone up a dress size and my tummy definately needs toning!!

justbeme · 24/08/2007 19:22

Ive killed the thread!

BTW can I have any ideas of what I could buy to wear to this evening wedding do - esp if im breastfeeding - dont want to be showing all my norks off!

Tried some longish tops on today but they all seemed to "show" my tummy. - any one bought anything nice recently??

annobal · 24/08/2007 19:28

Thank you! JBM this year I've asked for world peace, failing that more than 3 hours sleep would help .

I forgot they weigh you at the 6 week check - mine is at 8 weeks. I weighed myself at the gym yesterday and I have over a stone to lose still . I don't want to get on the scales in front of the dr (just glad it's not foxy's doctor).

annobal · 24/08/2007 19:30

Ooh - will have a look! How about a wrap dress?

andiem · 24/08/2007 19:32

Happy Birthday Derlor and Annobal for tomorrow

JBM I've just got a nice outfit for a wedding in sept from monsoon got a skirt t shirt and a jewelled cardi to help cover up

have rung the buggyfit woman and left a message today this is it school hols finish soon and diet and exercise regime begins

justbeme · 24/08/2007 19:33

mmm but dont i then have 2 get my WHOLE boob out to bf?

andiem · 24/08/2007 19:33

I wasn't weighed at my 6 week check just had my fanjo examined from every possible angle

weighing would I think on reflection have been preferable

andiem · 24/08/2007 19:34

wrap dress would be lovely but no sticking up there going on unless........

annobal · 24/08/2007 19:36

Not if you wear a singlet feeding top underneath. Or you could go for something empire line (forgives everything) with a couple of buttons at the top (easy access) with a skirt or trousers?

justbeme · 24/08/2007 19:44

oohh annobal you sound like youre good at this!! Shall I call you Trinny?
so any ideas of websites to look at?
(nothing too expensive tho as im hoping to get back down that dress size!!)

foxybrown · 24/08/2007 19:53

you could always wear a boob-tube underneath and lift it up to give top-boob coverage.

So for those of you with birthdays tomorrow, are you expecting your DPs to put out???
