Two miles? That's terrible, it makes me feel spoilt for choice. The nearest park is less than 5 minutes walk, and I've never really used it before D was born (we moved here nearly 9 years ago).

It has a cafe but we've started to get takeaway drinks from the cafe as in this weather I can sit on a blnaket on the grass with D and he can wriggle freely. He's not quite ready to be sitting up but he likes to be able to move about and he enjoys it more I think than lying in the pram or on my lap. And he's not too mobile. And I'm not worrying about exiled smokers sitting too near my baby or me (plenty of space in the park).

I've learned that this works well from meeting up with my NCT classmates at Highgate Woods - we moved from the very crowded cafe outside seating where we had to keep moving buggies so people could get through to the grass.

We did find discarded gluey bags and other signs of solvent abuse though, so I guess we'll have to be quite alert when he starts to crawl and toddle.

How is it that I'm on my own wanting some mindless TV to watch and there isn't a big brother on at all?????????

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 20:24

its not like I'm asking much, it's normally on 3 channels at once

Good new title - dribble features in our house too!

Hiya lasses

Elkie, your park sounds lovely. We have a park about 10 minutes walk from here with slides and swings, and it is always empty!
Not sure about the minimum age for the creche. I will investigate.

CD, hope the visit from the inlaws goes ok hun. Thanks for the hugs. Much appreciated. x

Katy, ikwym re telly. I am watching Baby Ballroom - a programme that imo is just WRONG!!!

Feeling better now. I just had the D part. It was more the awful stomach cramps that got me - made me feel faint. I now feel really weak from lack of food but am worried about eating anything.
Katy, what did th HV say about feeding T. Did you just have to keep feeding?

Hope everyone is ok.

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2007 20:49

Runny, great title. We are covered in dribble here. Dh was quite revolted by the wet patch on his shoulder... welcome to teething baby!!!

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 20:50

new thread here

SOL, he said just to keep feeding, and only give water if it's the only thing he'll keep down.
Know what you mean about eating Why not start with half a slice of toast and see if that stays down?
