Elkie - no, no arranged things at baby group. It's just turn up and sit on padded mats surrounded by toys .

Hope you get something sorted for teething Mav...if not let us know and we can always post some out to you!

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 07:07

Sorry to hear about ernie's ear infections ff, at least you've had it confirmed and you know what it is.
Urgh what a horrible night
Now T can roll onto his front he takes any opportunity to do it, then cries when he wants to be back on his back.
I've been rescuing him since 4am. Then he's been wide awake since hlaf 5 (tried sleeping downstairs with him)
Suppose it's good I went to bed at 9
The last 2 times he's slept through the night have been the last 2 Saturdays, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Hope everyone is OK.

CaptainDippy · 11/08/2007 07:28

Yes, tis obscenely early to be be up imho .... yuk! DD1 & 3 are lying to bed talking to daddy, DD2 in bed sleeping (she'd be a lovely only child!!) Thought I'd judt pop on here and say hi!

All the best with the rellies this w/e / week, JM and NB ..... trying to decide whether to actually make the effort to see DH's mum and dad tomorrow - mum's Birthday on Wed and they are going on holiday (again!) So guess we should, really.

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 07:28

CaptainDippy · 11/08/2007 10:35

Back again - DD's 1 & 3 napping, DH taken DD1 off for a haircu and go to a "Charlie & Lola Party" at our local hcildren's bookshop - she is v.excited - bless! Just having a few mins peace, nice!

How's everyone else? What are people's plans for the w/e? DD1's got to go the hospital for a tour around before her surgery the week after next. While she is doing that, I'm taking DD2 for a haircut & cake! Then we're off to join in a march to save our local maternity unit from closure! Tomorrow is church and may be seeing the bloomin' outlaws .....

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 11:54

No-one else around today??

elkiedee · 11/08/2007 14:10

Hi Katy from 2 hours ago and anyone who might be around now! Danny also woke us up early and went back to sleep at exactly the point when I'd given up on doing so and asked dp to get breakfast.

CD, Yay to marching to save your local maternity unit, I hope the march was well attended, successful etc. How far/where would women have to go if these plans are carried through?

I've spent the day so far doing nothing very much, playing with Danny, reading about 100 pages of my book - One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson, a "literary" novelist who has turned to crime fiction, sort of - reading the paper and chucking out old ones, watching Cagney and Lacey - you young'uns here won't remember that programme from the 80s! I've also spent a fair amount of time on Facebook.

My plans for the weekend are: more of the same while I get the chance with dp being around, more holiday planning and arrangements. I also want to do a bit of housework as my mum is visiting on Monday afternoon and I'd like to be in less of a mess than usual plus I'd actually like her not to spend her visit doing our housework - I love my mum and would like to spend a little time relaxing with her.

Now I'm going to have a bath, and weather permitting, we'll probably step out to the local park for a wee while (today and tomorrow).

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2007 16:21

Hi there. Quiet on here today.

Out enjoying the sun.

Katy, are you and T ok now?

Elkie, enjoy the visit from your mum.

All ok here, although I have a bit of a funny tummy (sorry tmi) Hoping it is something I have eaten as opposed to a bug.

See you later.

oooggs · 11/08/2007 16:39

hi all - very quick but remember I said that the registrar I used to see for appts lives 2 doors down. Well he was there at the delivery and has jusat invited us to a bbq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he is german and so down to earth

gotta go.........

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 17:15

Think DH has it now
PLease someone tell me this is going to get better as it just seems to be one thing after another

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2007 17:53

Katy, I have a funny tummy as well now I am hoping it isn't a bug as I cannot face everyone else being poorly. Dh is going off tomorrow as well for a few days. B is due to go to her grandparents for a week tomorrow too. I keep crying at the thought of her going, even though I know it will do us all good to have a break.

Hope your dh is better soon. Are you over it now?

runnyhabbit · 11/08/2007 17:58

Hi all

Yay - v proud - have actually managed to do some personals! can you tell that dh has taken the boys out

Katy - hope you're all feeling better soon x

oooggs - enjoy the bbq

CD - hope the march is successful (maybe you could start a petition on MN?, I'd def sign it for you!) Oh, good luck with outlaws!

leaky - sorry to hear about your gran.

sol - hope your tummy bug isn't too serious.

maveta - must've been v scary for you with dh (and N)

Hi to everyone else

I'm going to join a gym The local council have a scheme where you pay £29 per month, and can use any leisure facility in the borough. Plus, the main leisure centre has a creche right next door to the gym, and its all glass, so will be able to see boys while I workout (and the use of the creche is included with the price!)
First time, in a long time, that I'm getting excited about something, iykwim.

Anyway, dh and boys home, so am going to love you and leave you
xx

Ps - going to see Simpsons movie tomorrow night - outlaws are babysitting!

CaptainDippy · 11/08/2007 18:12

Hope you enjoyed some "alone time" runny & you enjoy the movie tonight.

Head is fuzz .....

March was good & v.well attended, which is great ....

Erm. Erm. DH has just caught a frog in the garden, the older 2 are delighted .....

Best start thinking about bedtime for my little girlies .....

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2007 18:29

Hi Runny, you are sounding really happy, which is great. The gym sounds a fab idea. I really need to get to the gym/aerobics and our leisure centre has a creche as well which is great.

Hi Dippy, sounds as if you have had a crazy day again!

Feeling a bit better, but I am v tearful. Can't put it down to pmt as af just gone. Think I am just feeling out of sorts and also sad about B and dh leaving me.

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 19:11

Oh SOL you have my sympathy, it's so horrible. Hope it comes and goes as quickly as mine. T also seems to be almost completely over it as well.
Well I'm completely better physically but am a bit tearful at the moment, just sick of us all feeling ill and stressed. What with my interview then the guy coming to look at the house, it's been a week from hell. DH has gone to bed, he has the D part of D&V and I feel so sorry for him as he's feeling as out of it as I did. I'm comforting myself with the fact that I can look after him better than he looked after me (at the time he was manically hoovering and tidying), he doesn't have to get up for night feeds, and can spend tomorrow in bed if he needs to, which I could have done with on Friday.
SOrry for the self centred post, am just feeling quite upset at the moment. Also, don't feel like I've had much milk today and am worried that being ill and not eating much has affected my supply. My breasts haven't felt full (in fact they've felt quite empty) and T seems to ahve had trouble feeding. I know that's stupid and 24/48 hours off food can't have that much of an effect but still

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 19:12

Wow that's made me feel better.

elkiedee · 11/08/2007 19:22

SOL, sorry to hear you're feeling weepy and worrying about coming week. Are you going to try and get out to the leisure centre while they're away, or does the creche have a minimum age for leaving kids in it?

Oh Katy, sounds like you and yours are having a bit of a grotty time, hope your dh feels better soon.

We went to the park and now we're about to start trying to settle D a bit.

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 19:25

hi elkie
i do feel a lot better for posting
I couldn't spend yesterday in bed as had to finish off house and look after t, but dh can and hopefully that will be all that's needed
How was the park? I really want to find one near us - the nearest one is about 2 miles away (uphill!!) and has a big sign with a needle with a cross through it

Katy44 · 11/08/2007 19:26

cos obviously people see the sign and think "oh i didn't realise it was banned here"

CaptainDippy · 11/08/2007 19:36

{{{{{hugs}}}}}} SOL - I do know those feelings all too well, lots of sympathy here ....

{{{{hugs}}}} katy - hope your DH feels well again soon.

Need to go to Tesco to get Birthday Cake for MIL as they are coming round tomorrow.
