Still being v sick, although not projectile this time
waiting for hv to call back
am quite worried

normabutty · 09/08/2007 15:17

Oh Katy, hope he's ok

maveta · 09/08/2007 15:35

Oh Katy, sorry you are worried and I hope he´s just having an óff´ day or two and feels better soon. I´m afraid I can´t help, Noah, quite apart from being a super-wee-er also seems to be a very vomity baby so I am used to great quantities of liquid coming out of him.. but you do have to go by what is normal for each baby and I hope the HV can help you put your mind at ease xx

Noah has been a grumpy little thing the last few days and a very slight temperature, cough and feeding tons, about every 2-2.5hours so it does seem he has a cold, we didn´t sleep very well last night for twitching every time he moved, leaping up to see if he was okay Anyone say first time parents??!

Elkie - what a fab holiday that sounds like! Very indeed...

My dad is home today after a month working away, can´t wait to take N to see him and see how much he thinks he´s changed.

gastroenteritis was the docs verdict
Nothing they can do, just have to wait
feel really sick myself

Lucewheel, hope your Auntie's op went ok, when will you find out?

AngeG · 09/08/2007 17:23

Katy - hope HV has called you back and that T is ok.

Luce - Hope your Auntie is ok. V frightening news

Hi everyone else xx

normabutty · 09/08/2007 17:23

Sorry to hear about your aunt Luce.

Hope T gets better soon Katy.

AngeG · 09/08/2007 17:24

x posts Katy. Do you mean you feel ill as well? Hope you're both better soon xx

Katy44 · 09/08/2007 17:25

Yes but not sure if I actually am sick or whether its just anxiety
Was fine until just before docs

maveta · 09/08/2007 17:42

Oh Katy I'm sorry, poor T, hope he feels better soon, and you too of course x

emmymummy · 09/08/2007 17:42

Luce - what a shock about your poor auntie. I hope she gets through it all x

Katy - I hope T improves. I think with constant vomiting the only thing you can do is just keep him hydrated and wait until the bug passes out of his system. Nightmare for you honey.

Elkie - am also very of your trip. We went to the west coast of Canada a few years back (Vancouver / Vancouver Island area) and it was the most fabulous holiday/experience ever. We are really looking forward to taking the girls there one day and travelling through the Rockies into Vancouver and beyond. Makes me feel all wistful just thinking about it!

Mortgage thing was fine. Luckily my MIL called and offered to come with me, so she wandered around town with the girls whilst I sorted the finances.

maveta · 09/08/2007 17:43

Sorry Luce, finished too soon, also meant to say I'm so sorry about your Aunt, what a shock for all of you x

Well - it went pretty well at the funeral - the service was lovely, dh fil and bil coped really well, the readings were lovely, the food turned out great, the sun was shining and we all sat in the garden chatting til 3pm. The only thing that upset me really was the crematorium. Don't feel sad anymore which is good - feel like have said goodbye and she has moved on to a nice garden in the sky.

Ernie still poorly - think he has ear infection in both ears. My back is still agony. Have booked us both into the doctors at home for tomorrow morning.

I have changed my mind about giving up breastfeeding - want to re-establish it - am going to brave the feeding forum! I still have milk but just not sure how much. Will post now and when get home tonight will read it all!

Katy - hope T is better soon - really do feel for you xxxx

elkiedee · 09/08/2007 18:56

Sorry to hear that Tristan and Ernie are both still poorly, and that Katy and flash are feeling rough too. And Luce, that's terrible news, but I hope the operation succeeds.

My Thursday afternoon postnatal class has now ended but it looks like we will continue to try and meet up on Thursdays - as well as the Wednesday one - so that should be fun. Today was about play, and all our 7 babies are just getting to a stage of being really funny to watch, there was a rather naff video being shown and we were all watching the little ones on the playmats instead.

emmymummy · 09/08/2007 18:57

FF - so glad it all went well for you today, and that you feel you have said your goodbyes. I always find it is easier to move forward emotionally once the funeral is over (having said goodbye to 4 grandparents and 2 of DH's GPs).

I'm sure you'll still have milk - it takes days for it to disappear and once Ernie starts feeding again it should re-establish itself.

oooggs · 09/08/2007 19:27

lovely weather down 'ere hope you are all getting some of it too. Still working on ds1 bedtime routine and haven't caved in yet. It is getting easier each day

sorry to read about poorly babies and mummys

octo glad today went well and I am sure Ernie will soon get the milk pumping

JoMa · 09/08/2007 20:08

hi all

been rather absent lately, I apologise. Settled into work now and aiming to keep up with you again

for all those with icky babies
[pleased] that you and the boys (both big and small coped so well today FF)

so, my world.
Work - my lovely new boss has organised an advance for me, to be paid back over 9 months, to enable me to pay nursery. The job itself is fab, I'm doing allsorts of PA/Secretary work which I love, and the people are really friendly. They have said that if I want to do any further training and it benefits them, such as shorthand, or perhaps my degree level admin qualification (I got up to NVQ level 3 last year, foundation degree is the next step) then they will pay towards it
Matthew - went to Woburn Abbey yesterday with daddy's family and had a lovely time
Joe - stopped going more than 2 hours between feeds so yesterday I started him on baby rice and sccess, he loved it, and then went 4 hrs before his next feed
Justin - is being a tosser (no change there). nd I currently have no contact with any of his family as his parents apparently didn't like me saying I would only take Joe there on a Tuesday evening if it didn't mess up Matthew's routine . stuff them.

My sister and her family are coming up from Swindon tomorrow for a week. I feel quite mixed about it. It will be the first time she has come up for more than a day since my nephew was born 2 years ago. She is coming because she has been invited to be godparent near here on sunday. not because she never comes up here, despite me going to every birthday and event in her children's lives. this also means that she is unlikely to come up in September for Matthew's birthday and Joe's christening, I am planning them for one weekend to make it easier for people who are travelling. why do i bother. she'll go out of her way for someone else's children but not her nephews. makes me so

eca · 09/08/2007 20:38

evening all

katy - hope little T gets over his bug soon xx (and that you're not coming down with it! That would be poo!)

flash - glad today was ok for you and the family. It's hard, but it helps to get it over with iyswim. I remember the days between my mum dying and her funeral were really hard. And as others have said I'm sure ernie will get the old milk coming good and strong again. But don't put too much pressure on, you've had such a rough time. Any chance of a bit of babymooning with him to get going again and rest up yourself, or is that just never going to happen?

joma - good to see you around. I was thinking today you'd not posted for a bit. Wondered if you'd abandoned us to msn Soooo pleased to hear the job's going so well for you Obviously they've realised what a gem you are and sound like they're not letting go!
at crappy sis though. Families can be so hard.

elkie - and and at the awesome hol you've booked! Wowee!

We've booked to have a week with my dad in Portugal in Sept, really looking forward to it. Just need to get T's passport sorted and a bit worried afetr hearing your hassles SOL.

eca · 09/08/2007 20:40

oh, forgot to say at your aunt Luce. She's really young for all that. Hope she recovers ok xx
