Yeah, although I didnt tell dp, then I felt guilty and told him and we had a bit of a row about it

think Joma had one at 6 weeks and hasnt had another one either (sorry Joma)

AngeG · 09/08/2007 22:03

Oh good. Sounds like it might be pretty 'normal' then. I'll try and stop worrying.

weeonion · 09/08/2007 22:08

evening foks! really lovely day here.. sunny and warm.

hope you are all well and katy - poor t!!
met up with some old friends today and c wowed them. she was a dote - plenty of coy smiles and giggles. phew as she has been acting a bit off with strangers! also met up with my old team - such a nice time. they said really sweet things about me being their boss - gave me a real boost as i feel i have lost my identity of late.

why oh why have i agreed to do a stall at a car boot with my mum tomorrow morning???

geordiemacminx · 09/08/2007 22:13

Hey WO - You have to come home - C and I miss you!! Went to see Anjo today - A is whizzing round the floor on his tummy like a rat up a drainpipe - ever so funny - Charlie was most unimpressed!!!

weeonion · 09/08/2007 22:17

lol lol at aiden. our younger ones will have to gang up on him!!!! any thoughts on our meet up??

geordiemacminx · 09/08/2007 22:22

Keep meaning to think about it - its just so difficult to think of a venue that will suit the majority - somewhere close to bpublic transport, easy to get to, can accomodate toddlers and babies blah blah - any ideas? Obviously somewhere like Starbucks in princess square would be ok, but then you cant really "interact" with everyone if you know what I mean?

JoMa · 09/08/2007 22:24

tis true Ange, I had one when you first did, then slight bleed when Joe did 2 nights without waking for feed which was about 6 weeks ago, then nothing since.

AngeG · 09/08/2007 22:29

Me too JoMa I really hope and pray Peter gets the heart.

flashfinn · 09/08/2007 22:36

AngeG - do a test!!!

I had my first period last week and it was hideous - like the River Thames in full flood - then stopped after 3 days completely. Am paranoid is going to some back when not expectiing it! MUST sort out contraception when at doctors tomorrow!! DH is very wary after the scare a few weeks ago that am going to get pg - despite him wanting more children

Journey back was okay - traffic pretty clear.

Am going to start bf again - and food - which is what was doing before went away - but all went pear shaped.

Mut go to bed - could be a long night

flashfinn · 10/08/2007 07:44

Wow - no posts since mine last night

Had crap night - ernie slept with me - but not sure how/where! Not feeding in any form at the moment so not sure what to do. Hoping doc will give him some antibiotics to sort out whatever is distressing him and me some strong painkillers and a physio referral asap! But can't take string painkillers if bf ....

I am talking to myself .....

Had a massage boked for tomorrow but will need to cancel as my neck/back/arm are killing me

Moan moan moan .... must start to be more positive.

It is great to be home at last

Katy44 · 10/08/2007 08:26

Morning
flashfinn, glad you're home and the funeral went well. How is ernie now, and how's your shoulder and neck?
Luce- fantasic news that your aunt is up and talking to people already! I bet her age means she will recover super fast.
I really hope this is it for Peter, every time I looked at active convos I'd hope there'd be good news in there and there never has been - off to read it now!
JoMa glad you're back and you have the nursery fees problem sorted out - sounds like work really value you.
We've had an awful night. I was being sick all yesterday evening until about 2am. Seem to have stopped now but feel so weak. Hopefully just tired which I can cope with, but if I'm illness-related weak then it's going to be a horrible day The good news is that T has stopped being sick after feeds (touch wood) and has moved on to diahhroea, I was wondering how I would notice it but when it squirts out like a tap when changing his nappy - that's it! That was fun feeling sick last night
We're not sure if we're going to cancel the guy looking at the house this evening. DH tidied and hoovered, so all thats left is the bathrooms (which I should do anyway after D&V) and a bit of dusting / tidying. Hopefully I'll feel up to it soon. It might not be perfect but he definitely won't buy it if he doesn't see it, iyswim.

Katy44 · 10/08/2007 08:31

Oh no
i realise I know nothing about this but surely a diseased heart is better than nothing

emmymummy · 10/08/2007 08:39

Hey FF - sorry you had such a crap night and that you and Ernie are feeling so rough. You can take Volterol-type anti-inflamatories (sp?) for pain whilst breast-feeding - that is what I have for my hip and I've had no problems with them.

Could you not still go for a gentle massage - you sound like you need it? Or swap it for something like a head massage, which is really relaxing. The other thing that is good for aches and pains is sitting in a hot-tub for 1/2 an hour - is there anywhere you could go that has one? Hope the Dr is able to do something for you & Ernie.

emmymummy · 10/08/2007 08:41

Katy - poor you, that sounds awful.

Eddas · 10/08/2007 10:49

FF, poor you hope you all feel much better soon, sending get well soon vibes to your house. Glad the funeral went well.

Katy, sorry to hear you and your lot aren't well either so sending your house get well soon vibes too

Joma, glad you got the nursery/job thing sorted.

Hi everyone else hope you are all ok.

My funny week(as in my weird head/thoughts etc) seems to be getting a little better Have told my boss that it's a no to full time work since DH is happy(ish!) to hold tight for the money coming our way next year. And also told boss that i'm unlikely to come back part time due to the huge expense of childcare. It's impossible to work and have childcare if you actually want any money out of it. My wage isn't too low either, christ knows how people work, it's beyond me. Suppose people use family? My options there are limited I can't belive I will actually be leaveing, i've been there since I left school. Ten years in Nov coming madness

So on that note i'm going to be sizing up all the local supermarkets for some evening work(joy!) I did work in Safeway whilst at school so i'm sure i'll cope, lol! Good job there's plenty of choice of supermarket nearby.

Off out for an Indian tonight with people from work, could be interesting given the events of the last few weeks. We have a staff of about 12, 1 person left, 2 handed notices in and I guess my notice has been given too

'See' everyone soon x

normabutty · 10/08/2007 10:58

FF - hope you feel better soon, hopefully doc will help you out.

Katy - hope you're feeling better too.

Eddas - I know what you mean about going back to work. (I don't have a job but was earning a pretty decent amount in my last job) It just doesn't seem worth going back and forking out for childcare, I'd be working loads for hardly any money. Like you, we don't have any family who could look after LO. There's an M&S opening up near us in October (which is when my MA runs out) so might look at maybe doing a Sat or something there.

I'll be off to baby group later. DH is gonna time his lunch so he can take me and stay for about an hour (it costs the same whether he comes or not so he might as well get the benefit). Hoping they'll have the scales this week so Erin can be weighed.

CaptainDippy · 10/08/2007 11:15

Morning - have had quick catch-up, but can't remember much - completely useless!!

Hope T is feeling better soon - any more vom incidents today, Katy?? So horrid when the little tiny ones get poorly, aisn't it!!? {{{{hugs}}}}

Glad funeral went ok, FF - bugger to you and Ernie not feeling good though - are the anti-b's kicking in for wee E yet?? Good for you with the BF - hope it goes ok, don't stress yourself though, sweet. xx

Oh Luce - about your Aunty - v.young, hope she is doing better now & is enjoying being back at home.

How did it go with the mortgage man and your two little ladies yesterday EM? You are brave!!

Friend is out with DD1 atm, as soon as she is back, I'll scoop the other 2 up and off out to a friends for lunch and a play for the afternoon - Going to try and attempt to get DD1 to walk there while other 2 are in pram.

Sexonlegs · 10/08/2007 11:20

Morning all.

Katy, you poor lamb. Hope you feel better soon.

FF, hope the doc sorts you and Ernie out.

Eddas, glad you are feeling more "sorted".

Just a note to say how wonderful the Teetha powders are. K was tired but being a bit feisty. I gave her a powder 5 mins ago, she instantly relaxed, found her thumb and is now asleep! Time for me to the flipping ironing !!

See you later. x

CaptainDippy · 10/08/2007 11:26

Boo to ironing SOL! Yes, Teetha powders are fab, fab, fab .... another recommendation here too!

happimummy · 10/08/2007 11:40

morning

Flash - you poor love. It just keeps coming for you doesn't it??? ahhh... Hope you and little Ernie are feeling better SOON! Nightmare.

Katy - You and T sound a right poorly pair. Fingers crossed for a day on the mend. I'd always wondered about spotting diahorrea... I guess the 'squirting like a tap' would answer my questions

Eddas - glad your wierd week is feeling a bit better.

Norma - ooo, I love putting T on the scales. He looks sooo cute nekid!

happimummy · 10/08/2007 11:42

hi cd and sol

yep, teether powers did the magic on a screaming T last night too

CaptainDippy · 10/08/2007 11:56

Hi HM!!

Right off to anticipate the arrival of DD1 and head off to friends for lunch ... "See" you all later ......

maveta · 10/08/2007 12:42

Hi Everyone, Katy and Flash, sorry you are both feeling rotten and your wee ones too

Can´t wait to try these teetha powders - surprise surprise can´t get them here but will stock up when I go back to the UK in september.

Funny old night, N was crying in his sleep from about 2am-9am. Kept us awake as we were trying to comfort him but he wasn´t really waking up, fed him a couple of times and dh changed his nappy but he totally freaked out and cried even more so after that we just left him to sleep-cry but cuddled him, was really heart breaking . Then dh woke up covered in what he thought were mosquito bites. After his shower it became obvious it wasn´t, it was all over his body and his eyelids were swollen. So all of us trooped off to the doc and he had a steroid injection - some kind of allergic reaction but no idea what too Very strange.

So been a tiring night and busy morning, been to the market for veg, roast chicken is in the oven for lunch, washing on..and as soon as dh is home I have to take my dad to town to pick up his car from the garage so I´m scheduling some down time.. um.. yeah, I´ll get back to you on that-..

Baby calling gotta go kisses everyonexxxx

ps anyone heard from claricebean lately?
