Morning ladies.

Off to meet a MN mummy soon for lunch so just a quick one, will catch up later. C had injections yesterday, was a bit grumpy ast night but the slept through....happy days!

Norma - how about a lasagne, garlic bread and salad? Could even do roast pots if you really wanted to push the boat out!! Or I have a nice recipe for pork in cider and apple?

normabutty · 09/08/2007 11:45

I don't like lasagne and FIL can't eat cheese. I think i'll do something with salad...going to have a browse of the cookbook Luce emailed! May come back to you tho for pork recipe (or you could podt it on the recipes thread for everyone )

normabutty · 09/08/2007 11:46

post not podt!

geordiemacminx · 09/08/2007 11:49

beef casserol with dumplings? Cajun salmon with new potatoes salad and nice bread? Chicken breasts stuffed with garlic mushrooms... ooooh i'm hungry now..

normabutty · 09/08/2007 11:50

You're making me hungry too!!! If you get chance will you post some of those on the april recipes thread! The salmon sounds fab!

normabutty · 09/08/2007 11:50

I'd love the chicken...but ILs don't like garlic

Katy44 · 09/08/2007 11:51

gmm are you a professional chef?
i have 2 recipes which i make all the time!!

geordiemacminx · 09/08/2007 11:56

the salmon is dead easy - just use fillet of salmon, top them with a little oil and cover in cajun seasoning - the schwartz stuff that comes in the spice jars?

There are lots of alternatives for the chicken but most involve cheese...they sound like very fussy eaters.. i'd be telling them to lap off!!

nope not a chef, jkust enjoy cooking - not very good at fancy reciepe things just good meals...

oooh how about chicken and bacon caesar salad?

Katy44 · 09/08/2007 12:07

t has just proj. vomited again
Am gettting a bit worried

Sexonlegs · 09/08/2007 12:09

Oh poor lamb Katy. It does sound as if he has a bug.

GMM, your food talk is making me hungry!!!

elkiedee · 09/08/2007 12:10

CD and EM, hope hospital and bank/mortgage appts respectively go fine and children are ok.

my good news: the dark clouds have currently lifted quite a lot and I'm feeling more in control. And I've booked the most daunting bit of my rather complicated holiday - we're going to Anchorage, Alaska for a few days at the end of September, via Seattle and San Francisco where we'll spend 2 and 5 days respectively as part of our trip. I've booked flights and an Anchorage hotel room, a few days ago I renewed the couple's annual travel insurance from last year to a family for this year, Danny has a passport, all that's left is booking accommodation in Seattle and San Francisco, but I'm not worried about that.

grrrrr for the morning - Danny had just dozed off on my lap and someone from Southern Electric knocked on the door to "tell you about the Government law on deregulation". He denied trying to sell me anything but my electricity is Powergen and my gas is British Gas, and if I switch I will choose in my own time and on my own terms, not to some sneaky door to door con artist - good deals for the customer don't come round disturbing baby's nap! I made it very clear that I was sure he was trying to sell, that I was suspicious etc and that I will complain if they try anything on. Surely someone from a private company should not be pretending that their presence on my doorstep is in some sort of official capacity eg "to tell you about government law"?

elkiedee · 09/08/2007 12:12

Katy, hope T is alright, let us know when you can.

Katy44 · 09/08/2007 12:13

Do I need to do anything SOL, or just keep an eye on it?
How's your leg?

Have just created a thread in health as could only find much older or younger babies in search.
He seems fine in himself, is lying there now chatting to me (or himself ) plenty of wet and dirty nappies and is feeding in between fine (although he usually brings up some milk, but this is normal I know, nothing that can't be wiped away with a tissue!)
He has started sleeping much longer at night - last night went from 7pm to 4am, I wonder if somehow he's trying to adjust and is feeding too vigorously during the day?
I was very engorged when he was feeding, wonder if it's related.

Katy, just keep an eye on him. If his nappies were not wet, I would wonder if he was dehydrated from vomiting and runny poo. Sounds as if they are ok tho. xx
