Morning

Great pics Jas, looks like you all had fun . at your dp for lecturing (i usually forget to lock mine but so does dh most of the time so he can't say owt)

csws - it sounds fun at your parents. Brothers are put on the earth just to annoy their sisters.

Macca - Sounds like you had a good time in London. for coming back to reality.

Flame - for the children and spots. Have they gone yet or is it pox?

Hi to the newbies if you've stuck around in this mad house

Hi to Frizbe, MRM, Chloe, Kel, Dame (have i forgot anyone )

We haven't done much over the weekend, Saturday morning i was working then in the afternoon we sat out in our front garden and filled ds' ball pool with water for him to play in, yesterday we went to my parents and sat in there garden and let ds run around playing on his slide and seesaw, so quite a boring weekend really.

I finally got my way yesterday and we bought a fish tank .

I'm working this afternoon and dh is on nights from tonight to Thursday so i'll prob be on here all night for the next 4 nights. Oh and an update on my alcohol drinking - i had 2 lagers on Friday at my aunties BBQ and last night i finished the half glass of wine that's been in the fridge all week and that is all i've had, really good for me and i'm determined to keep it up

I've just been noseying (sp?) around on a multiples thread and realised that JuA is posting on it. I thought she'd gone off mn altogether.

Long post for me

Chloe55 · 13/08/2007 12:49

Afternoon,

Just back form a mammoth clean-up operation at Nanna's, knackered now, can't be arsed to do her ironing and my own housework too now!

Still getting period pains but no period yet. It is the first one since stopping my pill though so I'm not worried - dh reminded me that when I was off the pill first time I got period pains for about 4dys before I came on. He has also pointed out that he has rarely seen me so mood swingy (I know he's right too) - one minute I am very giggly, the next I am ready to rip anyone's head off who so much as looks at me the worng way - I have also had a few extremely horny days too which is very unlike me I have bought a test and have decided to do a test on Friday if there is no sign of a period.

Dh crashed the car yesterday - he was very lucky to not have been hurt. It was coming onto the motorway slip road, he lost control, 360'd, crashed into the barrier and ended up down a grass verge There were 3 of them in the car and other than a few lumps and bumps they came away practically unscathed. Now our car is in Burnley and we have no idea yet whether it is a right-off

Glad you all seem to have had lovely weekends.

Phoenix · 13/08/2007 13:08

for dh. They're all lucky.

Dh has just laid down on the floor for ds to beat him up and ds just hit him over the head with a board book (ha ha ha) So he shouted at him and made him cry, so i shouted at dh for been stupid enough to get on the floor in the 1st place. Ds just went over to him and cuddled him awwwwww.

Ah well i'd better go to work

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/08/2007 20:19

Oh dear Chloe - sounds terrifying. Hope he's not too shaken and that the insurance sorts it out very quickly for you.

Phoenix - nothing wrong with getting on the floor to play with Lew IMO, but definitely nothing to be gained by shouting at him - he doesn't realise it's not the done thing to hit people with a book does he? Men eh?!

We went swimming this morning, and played in the garden this afternoon.

I think all these activities have worn dd out at last. She slept 8pm-7:30am last night, and then for 2 1/4 hrs this afternoon (was still sleeping then, but I woke her up).

Intending to come back home tomorrow, but wanted to stop off somewhere to break up the journey. Was planning on Warwick Castle, but weather forecast is crap, so now don't know what to do. I tend to feel like I'm going to fall asleep any second if I have to drive the 2 hours in one go, which is really pants!

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/08/2007 20:20

And forgot to say to macca, ha ha ha for stuff I was reading earlier about Bear Gryhls (I know that's not how it's spelt, but I don't care enough to look it up!). Is your lust for him fake too?

2boysmacca · 13/08/2007 20:30

Eh?

Jas · 13/08/2007 20:48

Glad your dh and his friends are ok Chloe. Sounds scary.

Impressive lack of alcohol drinking Phoenix. I agree it is daft to encourage ds to hit and then tell him off when he does!
When it comes to telling off, I'm finding myself babying ds still. I hate to tell him off, so I tend not to.

Wasn't Frizbe's link about Warwick castle? Hasn't that tempted you to go in the rain csws?
I hate long drives, too.I even drank some disgusting energy drink on the drive to/from Norwich the other week to try and keep myself more awake.

We took ten children to Capel manor today. I hated it. All the big ones except mine are boys, and there wasn't enough for them to do,. There was lots of noise while old ladies wandered round trying to enjoy the gardens, and some of them were quite destructive (The boys, not the old ladies.)
There are animals but that bit was closed due to foot and mouth. I won't be going back with children. It would be nice with just a baby in a buggy, or no kids at all though.

Morgan · 13/08/2007 20:59

For mustrunmore - the bed is available again - have posted on that thread as well.

CSWS - have sent you a message - i could kill two birds with one stone by coming over to you on Thurs and bringing the bed as mrm said i could deliver it to you for her - is that ok with you?

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/08/2007 21:34

It is you who loves Bear isn't macca? Did you see this thread?

Sounds like fun Jas .

Have replied to you Morgan, but yes, that should be fine.

Frizbe · 13/08/2007 22:12

I've never heard of him CSWS?
dh is just telling me about an attempted baby snatch in warrington today, so off to check for a thread about it

Chloe for your dh and the car, but very glad he's ok for you, does he know why he lost control? tyre blow out or summat?

Phoenix, yay for the lack of booze then (not very often I say that )

Jas I read that as Calpol Manor

Flame, MRM, Kel where are you then, hope all is ok?

Hi Morgan, are you in the UK for a bit?

Hello to everyone else lurking out there too!

Got all the accounts done today, so hurrah, now just a new business plan to do, dh is having cunning plans again will cost it out and see.....looks like will be doing it tomorrow, as mum and dad have just rung to say they both have food poisioning (dh on a contract with my dad at the mo) they went out for a picnic tea provided by a friend last night whilst they watched a band, looks like they all now have plague

Chloe55 · 14/08/2007 08:42

The weather is a bit crap today isn't it? Are you still off to the castle CSWS?

I think I might tell ds off a bit too much , he doesn't listen to a word I say though and says 'no' to everything all the time. Dh never tells him off though so I guess we need to find a happy medium. I always try to remind myself to pick my arguments wisely so maybe somethings he gets away with that maybe some other kids wouldn't but on the other hand I am quite strict about the arguments I pick.

Not sure why dh lost control Friz, he doesn't speed as a general rule but he just said the back end skidded coming onto the slip road so he drove into the skid which in turn resulted in the car spinning - I have no idea why a car would skid unless you took a turn too quick/weather conditions etc and considering it wasn't raining your guess is as good as mine! No news on the car yesterday, they were still working on it [nervous emoticon]

I am sooooooooooooooooo bloated, I wish I would just bloody come on, I've had tummy ache for days now and it hurts to even touch it at the moment, I feel like I'm about to explode!!!!

No idea who that guy is that you're on about Macca and CSWS

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/08/2007 08:47

I'd never heard of him til we discussed him on here a while ago. Here he is.

Phoenix · 14/08/2007 09:47

I can't see the attraction there Macca.

2boysmacca · 14/08/2007 10:29

but you didn't see him when he joined the foreign legion. He is very inspiring...

Phase 2 of the personal trainer started today. My arms are so shakey I'm having trouble typing!!!!

Frizbe · 14/08/2007 10:47

Gibber re shaky arms, I did aqua aerobics again last night, as my leg is still playing me up, I seem to have pulled a muscle leading down from the knee on the left leg, but it mainly only plays me up when I try to kneel? figure it'll go away eventually so going for more swimming orientated activity mainly, as not weight bearing, might sort of fix itself I hope?

Chloe, fingers x'd for the car then.

Oh so that's him! not my type I don't think?

Horrible weather, might have to take dd2 to sainsburys for excitement!

Dh off work, as food poisioning still on the go mum is better than dad though?

FlameBatfink · 14/08/2007 18:11

You avoiding us? You know we wil follow you and drag you back.

I've been mostly on the FLY threads this week. Nothing happening here, andI have less chat time with all three kids to entertain.

mrm/csws - Are you still coming to me next week? Tuesday?

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/08/2007 20:40

Think mrm's away til Thurs this week, so you'll have to check with her again then, but I'm still up for a visit if you still want me.

Back home now.

Have I mentioned how much dd's speech has come on again? This week she's added 'water', 'all gone', 'teeth', and 'bath' to her vocabulary. She's also developed a hysterical impression of my mum coughing (she has chronic asthma and COPD so coughs a lot) - she puts both hands over her mouth and sounds like she choking/stuttering! I have to look away so that she doesn't see me laughing .

Jas - would Paradise be crap in the rain? Just trying to think of something to do tomorrow, and the forecast is pants.

Jas · 14/08/2007 20:46

Yup, still wanting visitors

at talking baby. DS still says no and mummy. Alot.

Paradise in the rain. Apparently last week it was hell. Sunny and overcrowded.Last time I went it rained, adn we just sat under an umbrella and let the kids get wet and play. I wouldn't bother if I didn't have big ones to entertain though.

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/08/2007 20:56

Yes, had a feeling you'd give it a resounding no!

Can anyone suggest a fab present for a girl's 2nd birthday. Can't take up too much room as flat full. Parents very Bodenesque . Have bought her a cord dress from White Company, but if I can come up with something else then dd gets to keep the dress, which would be good . Oh, and need it by Saturday.

Jas · 15/08/2007 06:36

Books?
CD?
Not feeling inspired. I'm rubbish at presents.

Have wel all checked the transplant news? Still waiting for an update but afaik it went ahead last night.

Lots of rain here today. I have to go and get DPs last wage cheque for him this morning, and we have a house full of babies this afternoon, but I will be around checking for news, so see you all later.
