You've cheered me up a bit Phoenix.....still waiting for passports.

Phoenix · 09/08/2007 19:56

jas hopefully they'll get to you in time.

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:14

Right. DD in bed (still screaming and calling me, but in bed at least!), so going to read thread properly now. I see lots of sad faces though, which isn't good, so group hug please everyone .

FlameBatfink · 09/08/2007 20:20

Phoenix you are looooooooooovely! (I know you personally didn't do it, but still very good to hear!!!)

Lol @ your sensitivity Jas - I wouldn't mind if I had actually met the woman in the flesh . I only realised today that you have a different surname to MrJas.... (Yes, the cheque came... Frizbe, I had forgotten to pay yours in until today ). I'm mainly woryring with money because it is costing £52 to get re-reference checked for the losing guarantor

Have you met up with any of your "friends" lately Kel?

And did we get an eta on Chloe's period??

Frizbe · 09/08/2007 20:24

for Scab for the day Phoenix, it'll be great on the beach there. Also yay for no more strikes, espcially for Jas's passports!

CSWS, hurrah for getting some sleep
I would defo say getting christening prezzies is expected? silly bro and mum.

Alicet, yay for going away for weekend, we're dropping kids at Mum n Dads on Sat am, and picking them up sun this week, as we're in Swindon for a work type meeting n drinking thing with our game ref's.

MRM for new cupboard, for ds1 falling out with his friend, hope they made up?

Flame for money and boy spots......and now your staying at home as well, just when I thought I'd persuaded you to come and be a pirate for the day another time maybe? you and MRM will defo have to come down for the next aug bank holiday event I can gurantee you'll get on very well with some of our other female pirates!

Jas, sorry to hear dd2 had nightmares, hope she's ok tonight.

Ooooh Flame booked next years holiday today! we're coming your way again!! booked the caravan we stayed in with mum, as cheapest easiest option with all 5 of us....(so you know to hide for the 1st week of the kids summer hols!) my dad isn't happy though, wants to take my dd's away with him abroad before dd1 starts school, but they won't go without me.......and dh doesn't want me to go without him......and if we all go then that means we have to leave ss behind, as he can't come out of school, so dh won't do it....argh......dh is now saying if I go with the girls and my folkes, then he'll have to go somewhere by himself at term hols with ss......nightmare......

We've been to Carsington Water today, lovely both dd's in bed by 6 as both totally shattered, so feeling I may be in for an early moring

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:24

Sorry, got distracted by my brother possibly not being number 1 son any more! Will read in a second I promise!

I think Chloe's period is due in another 4 or 5 days isn't it?

Frizbe · 09/08/2007 20:25

oooh Kel sorry waffling forgot to say have a great night with your mate!

Jas · 09/08/2007 20:25

That is because we are not married Flame

(For csws so you know things are not all bad )

Jas · 09/08/2007 20:27

Does your mother have another son csws ?
Or is he just being a ? (Add word of your choice)

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:38

Oo, I wantto hear some cswsbrother gossip!

Frizbe, they fall out every time they see each other Just that sometimes I can put up with it more than others, and today wasnt just bickereing, it was ds1 genuinely not understanding a concept and his friend teasing/mocking/winding him up because of it.

Flame, we love you

Jas, think it'd be hte Wed for willows, if my friend doesnt vhsnge her mind as to sestination, whivh has been known to happen alot!!

Frizbe · 09/08/2007 20:39

for your ds1 MRM, not a nice friend to have, hope he gets differnt ones when he gets to school!

Come on then CSWS do tell!

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:40

Right - have now read....

flame - not sure I knew we were facing another 'Wales or not' dilemma, but from the sound of it, you would be better not going, which is handy, as that's what you've decided . I guess all the good feeling from the start of the week is lost then?
Do you think maybe this coil thing doesn't suit you, as you've been pretty up and down since you had it put in haven't you?

Yay for new pc desk - looks much bigger than the old, and not feasible to climb on top of, which is always a bonus!

Chloe - you need to share details of dh's surprise birthday party, so that we can interfere... I mean, make helpful suggestions/give nods of approval .

mrm - since you mentioned the coleslaw, can I reassure you that it all got eaten before I came up here. And very nice it was too (that goes for dd too).

Feeling sorry for alicet trying to understand what we are all on about half the time! For your benefit alice, most of us met up at my house (without dc) last weekend for a bit of a piss up (although we didn't actually get pissed, as drinking was spread over many hours!).

Again for your benefit alice, I'm now staying with my parents for a week or more, as dh is working in India for a fortnight (he's normally just away Mon v early til Thurs night). This would be great except that we don't generally get on very well, and I get on even less well with my selfish (and apparently under the thumb) brother. DD has been unsettled at night time since we arrived on Monday. She went off after a 15 min session then a big cuddle then just a couple more minutes of moaning tonight, so another slight improvement.

Am not sure which day I'm back next week, but def up for a day out the week after. Not Friday, but otherwise open to offers!

This post is now too long, so going to put the rest in a new message so that I don't get the crown back .

FlameBatfink · 09/08/2007 20:43

lmao - you've only known me pregnant and coiled... this is sane in comparison

LoopyLouLisa · 09/08/2007 20:44

Is it ok if I join your thread please? I only found mn a few months ago but ds thomas was born 17th feb 06 dc1 plus lo due in a few weeks.

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:46

"mrm - since you mentioned the coleslaw, can I reassure you that it all got eaten before I came up here. And very nice it was too (that goes for dd too). " BUT YOU SHOULDNT BE EATING YOUR DAUGHTER

Frizbe, if it was me and a friend, it'd be a problem. But they're just like that because they're little kids.Although his other friends arent like that with him to the same extent.

Also for the benefit of Alicet.. Mrcsws has gone to India specifically to get me some tops for the boys Oh, and ask who won triv at the piss up

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:46

Oh brother, yes, well not sure I've had full story yet, as he rang again whilst mum was still telling me, then I went up to dd, and now mum's vanished (outside with dad I think).

It seems that he and his wife were coming up at the weekend, but mum's now told them that they aren't welcome, as he phoned to ask which room they were in, and said it wasn't acceptable that he couldn't have his old bedroom (dd is sleeping there, as we've made it darker, it's next to me, and therefore isn't right at the top of the stairs where she would be woken by everyone else coming to bed like the other spare room is). For some reason his wife refused to sleep in the other room because it is over the garage (wtf?!).

Think he phoned back to say that they would sleep in other room after all, but mum said that there would be too much ill feeling towards sil, and that she was too upset by it.

(he is only son Jas - sorry to confuse!)

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:47

Flame, you erallt should drop everything and com and stay with me for a while so I can analyse you

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:48

csws, you have a bizarrely picky SIl if you ask me

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:49

Ooh, another newbie to welcome. Hello lll - we are all nuts and talk masses, but if you require no social life outside of MN then you've come to the right place .

mrm - I just knew that you'd be all pedantic about my wording, but thought I'd give you the satisfaction anyway .

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/08/2007 20:49

She can't be that picky - she married my bro .

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:52

Ah, but I have a social life... I go to csws's house every now and again!
And I like to critisize your grammar and senrtance structure to divert attention from my typing

Jas · 09/08/2007 20:54

Hello LLL

At least your mother is making a sensible decision re the brother, csws

I forgot to look at the desk link after asking for it. Will go and scroll down masses of thread to find it.....

mustrunmore · 09/08/2007 20:56
