Emrys slept late (hurrah you may think) ? but he was in a disposable last night, which broke under the weight... and it wasn?t just wet... so he took his pjs off and chucked it out of the cot

I guess I am lucky that he didn?t play with it...

16/17 when I first went on the pill
drunk n breastfeeding at 25 but you get the idea
6-8 weeks ago after not being on pill since DS

FlameBatfink · 08/09/2007 10:32

lol @ maintaining the illusion - B doesn't know how to be quiet, so knows he sleeps through anything!

Frizbe · 08/09/2007 18:05

Flame, its no lie that the pill does make you put on weight, but so does drinking more booze, growing up and getting up the duff! If it helps, I was on the pill from age 14 to control zits etc and remained a nice size 10 until I hit 18, was drinking heavily and eating loads a crap!! have never got back anywhere near a size 10 since, 12 is the lowest I've gone, just prior to having dd1

MRM I think girls are definatley easier to bribe at bed time, not that this is helping your situation, think your dh needs to back you up and be of the firm, get in your room, the door is staying shut variety or this will carry on forever (but this is just my opinion and a lot harder to carry out when your in the situation)

Jas glad you got some sleep

Today not been bad, did the starbucks thing this am, and we all walked to the park this pm, with me having to stuff dd2 into the buggy after going to coop on the way back, much to her disgust, reckon she'd have walked the whole way back too, but she was getting in the way too much Letting dd1 stay up to watch Chicken Run so long as she doens't move from the sofa (evil cackle) roll on dh coming home tomorrow, mind you I have a nice bottle of red tonight all to myself

Phoenix · 08/09/2007 18:37

I've sneaked down to read mumsnet while dh has a fight with the curtain pole that he's trying to put up in Lewis' new room. It's going up on a plasterboard wall and the plasterboard screw things aren't working properly Have i mentioned dh isn't too good with diy

We're aiming to get Lew in his new room tomorrow night. It's looking good now, even though i've made a complete balls up with the border as it's an odd shape room. If anyone asks why its such a mess i'll make out Lewis put it up himself

I'd better go back up before he starts moaning i'll be around later.

2boysmacca · 08/09/2007 18:53

Ditto Friz, I was on the pill for zits and erm, hormones. I was such a moody cow that my folks took me down and begged them to do something with me! The pill was the answer. I grew boobs but nothing else. Always been a size 8 until kids
Had a lovely day today. Did Starbucks too after a session at the gym, then park then I sent dh off to get a digital set top box and he came back with a 32" Sony Bravia . Then had to go searching for a tv stand to put it on!!! Anway, we are all set up now and the old tv is on freecycle, otherwise it'll be the tip tomorrow!
Off to Willows tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to have a takeaway, can't decide on a curry or Chinese.... I've poured myself a G&T while I decide (did I tell you I have given up alcohol during the week? )

FlameBatfink · 08/09/2007 19:10

My whole shape has morphed back to it's old one, it is really odd (I drink more booze now than then!!)

After this morning's poo delights - he went down for a nap, managed to take off a cloth nappy and shorts, and sh*t in his cot again

Generally crappy mood so going offline.

OP posts:
FlameBatfink · 08/09/2007 19:23

Ignore me... just done adding up and have realised why I'm shouting at anything that moves and why I look huge and lumpy in everything

OP posts:
Phoenix · 08/09/2007 19:39

Right the curtain pole an curtains are now up so just need to lug all the furniture up tomorrow and its done after months of me going on about it I'll post some before and after pics of the attic next week sometime.

Dh has just ordered us a korma and i've just sat down with a lager

for Emrys shitting in his cot and for you being down again Flame.

2boysmacca · 08/09/2007 19:44

Er, you've just sent us photos of you looking hot hot hot, then say you are lumpy I'm out for a run in the morning, come with and you'll feel better

Korma? I thought it was us southerners that were puffs!

Phoenix · 08/09/2007 19:48

You are puffs but we're not spicy fans. Korma's are all we ever have. Ooooh its just come we only rang 10 mins ago

FlameBatfink · 08/09/2007 19:54

Back in x-factor break. I learnt a long time ago never to try and be objective about my shape or go clothes shopping with pmt

I'm making rogan josh in a bit.

Ooh - took DD to a birthday party today, legged it to the pub upstairs with my mate (they were happy with us leaving our children, we did check )... sudden much needed gust of wind, we looked round to find what caused it and spotted a pigeon perched on the ledge above my friend - so I laughed at the fact it was sat over here (as you do) - it bloody fell off the perch and landed on my arm We ended up having to try and shoo it out of the door as it kept running at the glass and bashing its head.

FlameBatfink · 08/09/2007 19:55

For those who follow my inane nappy bouncing - found a new and exciting nappy to stock (new on the marked etc and different design to others ) - and she is sending me a sample!

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 08/09/2007 20:06

Hmmm, I like korma! But I had muttaar paneer and rice for my tea.

Went and picked up freecycle divan today(2 trips) and put the futon base on there, then dh decided he's going to keep it and use all the wood to make more planters for the garden Also went to the big exciting tescos In a car got a really lovely sounding old lady coming tomorrow to pick up a rug of ours that I freecycled.

Flame, you always look fantastic And I'm not just saying that so we can come and have a free hol with you TBH though, you look better in photos when you're sober!

Phoenix, dont stress. We have a very wonky border in the boys room because we have a very wonky house. And I have a dh who is fairly useful re DIY, but just cant organise a piss up in a brewery. Deconstruction of futon= only an allen key required. Whole shed emptied in the process.

Jas, how's Boy now?

2boysmacca · 08/09/2007 20:28

and just to remind you all of dh's DIY skills......

Frizbe · 08/09/2007 21:20

Macca yay for good day lol at the TV though, I mentioned new tv to dh the other day and he oddly balked at me! (I was suggesting we got it each other for xmas, thought a good idea, but appears not!)

Flame at bird at ds and his nappy situation, dd2 keeps playing with herself, and taking off clothes, but not the nappy yet, thankfully.

MRM yay for freecycyle stuff!

Phoenix, we have the same problem with plasterboard screws in our house

2boysmacca · 08/09/2007 21:29

Have you got premises for your shop yet Friz?

Chinese was delicious. Feel rather stuffed though, or perhaps it was the G&B after....

Freecycle ad still not appeared, I always screw up the address and never get it posted

So, I have been in tears at the news today, Pavarotti funeral - and the McCanns but I did laugh at x-factor, lots

Jas · 08/09/2007 21:36

I left dp home alone to get started on his work upstairs. I reckon he spent an hour tops actually working, so tomorrow I will be staying home and supervising

I agree you look good Flame, but was expeting the middle pic to be you bf WHILE drunk new nappies, and low mood, and ds.

Boy was much better last night, and not too bad today. He slept twice (very unusual for him) and still went to bed nicely.

Phoenix - no one will notice the border except you (Well I never noticed the one in mrms house anyway)

Freecycling mrm. I've just binned loads of dps stuff I could have sold/freecycled, but was too cross to bother

No diy skills at all has its attraction macca....then I coupd justpay and get it done when I want.

Frizbe · 08/09/2007 21:38

Girls and especially Flame as your nearby, Munz needs our support www.mumsnet.com/Talk/7/384410?rnd=1189283761806

Macca, we virtually have the premises, just waiting on our solicitor agreeing/drawing up their copy of the draught for us to sign!! v excited Should have access by end of week to pop up coming soon stuff, then its just a case of more paperwork and handing over the cash! we've agreed to take over 1st Oct

Frizbe · 08/09/2007 21:40

Jas, I know what you mean, dh is supposed to be digging up our front lawn this week, so the cat's can stop pooing on it and we can get brick paving stuff on it shortly after then we can park cars on it and play on it! hurrah!! so later this week I'll be on saying its not happening no doubt

Phoenix · 08/09/2007 21:44

LOL Jas i thought that about Flame's second pic too

If it was just a wonky border i wouldn't be bothered. I've put it at the top of the wall rather than round the middle and in 2 places there's a small arched bit but obviously you can't arch a straight border so i've put it across it straight and it looks bloody stupid. I've just ordered some more border to attempt to make it look better.

2boysmacca · 08/09/2007 21:48

Friz, wow moving fast then

A cat has started to use our drive as a litter tray. if I see it, I'll shoot the bloody thing! I would call myself an animal lover but I hate cats that shit inappropriately

Frizbe · 08/09/2007 22:07

Phoenix I now have pictures in my mind of your wall being covered in border, as you get more annoyed!

mustrunmore · 09/09/2007 07:58

What do yo mean by a small arch? Intentional, or an odd house like ours? I might take a pic of the boys room to make you feel better

Flame, i really really am gonig to send that shirt to you soon! Sorry There's a couple of little t shirts too, but they wont be ironed Sorry!

more tree chopping today, to amke it all fit in the green bin We're on our neighbours bin now! And chopping up of chairs with woodworm; rotted away overnight, literally.

Jas · 09/09/2007 08:08

I'm visualising all kind of odd room arrangments now Phoenix We need a picture

We can put out as much green waste as we need to as long as it is all in special bags. I think we will have to get a skip when we clear the bathroom though.

mustrunmore · 09/09/2007 08:59

Maybe I should bring my chopped tree to you on the train
