Which shirt? You sent the stripey one....

OP posts:
Phoenix · 09/09/2007 11:18

Right you've forced me into it, honest opinions of how crap it looks please

Ballsed up border 1

Ballsed up border 2

Frizbe · 09/09/2007 11:28

Phoenix, it does look a little odd, butits one hell of a place to try and put border! can you over stick two of the ends to try and make it more aligned??? I'd hate to even attempt that myself (no borders here!)

MRM for the chairs, boo woodworm!

Been swimming here this am, now off for chinese lunch with the girls and some of our friends, mmmm buffett!

FlameBatfink · 09/09/2007 11:31

Argh for woodworm.

Erm... for border... it is a silly shape room to have to do though (we did ours like that round the middle )

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 09/09/2007 13:08

Well, we have some edges that look that shape. I took a diffrerent approach, but prob ended up with the same finish more or less! I will do a pic.

good, Flame, I dont feel so tardy now that I know you'd forogtten anyway. I was supposed to send you his 70's throwback one. You said 12-18 mothercare would still fit him!

FlameBatfink · 09/09/2007 13:11

Ahh yes - I remember! Yup, it'll fit for ages

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 09/09/2007 15:36

What size is he Flame, oh to have a tiddler rather than a lump

30 offers for the tv!!!!!

I'd have opted for border round the middle too!

Jas · 09/09/2007 18:04

Probably a bit late to say the border would have gone easier round the middle Phoenix As it is, I would take off the patches connecting the two levels and try and tidy up the ends, and just have straight bits with no join at all (does that make sense? I know what I mean bu t it is difficult to explain without drawing a picture)

My bedroom now has two doors and the beginnings of a wall down the middle Shame we had to argue through most of the afternoon doing it

Frizbe · 09/09/2007 18:12

well Jas, yay for the two doors and a begining wall, boo for arguing though, I suspect we may have some of that this week, with our digging out

Dh just got home, yay!

Had an ok lunch out, caught up with friends I haven't seen for a while, who dh doesn't get on with, have a feeling they all went onto somewhere afterwards without me though, there was a bit of whispering around the table at one point, so I diplomaticly told them not to be rude and stop bitching quietly (we are all very old friends and this was taken in good jest I hope) but when we went to our respective cars, as I was loading dd2 who was being a pain, I saw one of the other couples and their kid get back out of theirs and slink off elsewhere???! odd behaviour eh! I had somewhere else to go to anyway, so it's not a problem, but always nice to be asked....

Anyway we then proceeded onto one of dd1's mates for coffee and play so bar the oddities good day

Phoenix · 09/09/2007 19:32

I understand Jas as that's what i've decided to do anyway. Dh suggested it last night and it can't look much worse than it does now

Well Lewis loves his new room. When he came back from my parents i took him straight up and he was like , just stood there looking round then he dived into his toybox that has been stuck away with things on top of it more or less since the day he got it. He went to bed at 7.10 and all is quiet up there

Yay for doors and wall Jas

2boysmacca · 09/09/2007 21:00

Friz, perhaps they were having an unscheduled toilet stop?

Had a lovely day at Willows but terrible parents . Didn't put sunscreen on boys and ds2 has gone to bed looking like a panda I hope it settles over night.

mustrunmore · 09/09/2007 21:32

macca; I did a car boot with ds2 in the carrier when he was teeny, hat on, no suncream, and he ended up like an egghead!

Well, all I can say is................7.41pm bedtime, with no tantrums

Phoenix · 09/09/2007 21:42

for bedtime. How did you bribe him

mustrunmore · 09/09/2007 21:51

You know, its the oddest thing. I didnt do anything to entice him. Same as a normal day, except we went swimming for 40 mins (but last time we did that it didnt help bedtime). The bedtime story he chose was very dull though; maybe it helped him on his way!

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 07:46

JAS has sent me a text to tell me her broadband is dead

mustrunmore · 10/09/2007 07:51

eek. Was that related to the knocking of holes in walls? Can imagine her and dp bashinh away through cables When is csws/chloe back then? Its getting quiet on here with hols and RL!

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 07:55

Not a clue!! Sent me a text to watch over her FLYbabies... (Didn't actually mention to tell you lot - how rude is that?? )

mustrunmore · 10/09/2007 08:00

I'm posting your parcel today, if it kills me BTW

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 08:03

It really isn't worth dying over!!!

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 08:28

She's pointed out that she posted whinging after their building shenanigans... so tis clearly not their fault

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 18:46

Ooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww!

I bashed my elbow on the car at 2pm and it still hurts to use the arm or straighten it properly.

DH has taken all but 2 painkillers So after these, I am just in pain...

Jas · 10/09/2007 19:15

I'm back. I hope....things keep dying on me for no reason.

Ow, Flame. Calpol? (you need to take about two tablespoons for an adult dose though, so it worksout very expensive)

Thanks for letting the FLYbabies know - they had already started without me i see (I assumed it would take more than one day for you lot on ere to notice me missing as it is so quiet these days) Did you shine your sink?

2boysmacca · 10/09/2007 19:40

make sure you keep moving it Flame, if you keep it still you'll regret it!

Good to see you back Jas

Flamesparrow · 10/09/2007 20:07

But it huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurts when I move it

No sink shining I planned to this evening, but alas with the arm as it is

I am actually pissed off about it - bought a load of veg to prepare for a pasta sauce in the slow cooker tomorrow and I can't bloody chop em up!!

mustrunmore · 10/09/2007 20:20

2 tablespoons? Takes about 2 bottles for calpol to do anything!

Can I just gloat, and say I've managed to post your parcel flame, and 2 others that neededdoing,and..................asleep by 8.01pm with no tantrums, just a bit of messing about a for a few mins
