Snap! We have the yop gate because our stairs are steep(even I would prob fall down half aslep in the night!), and we have the other across the hall to stop him getting in the bathroom. Various boring resons why I want another kiddiguard one though...

2boysmacca · 03/09/2007 06:54

We have a stairgate at the top of the stairs for the same reason as you mrm, they are very steep but the one at the bottom and into the kitchen were taken down about a month ago. I just make sure the bathroom and toilet door are shut otherwise he posts stuff down the loo or gets into the sink to wash his hands so there is soap and water everywhere.

Ds2 is a bolter too. Once his navigation is rewired we'll be fine

Ds wet the bed so his sheets have just been put in the machine. Hopefully hey'll be done before we head off out today so I can get them on the line and another load through.

Jas · 03/09/2007 07:26

I have no intention of ever taking dow the stair gates. I don't have one at the top.DS is never gven free reign p there....my windows are all old and unlockable, and much too easy to open. DP fell out of asecond floor window at about ds' age, so we are taking no chances.
Gate at thebottom also prevents access to computer, and fish tank. When it las broke was when I lost the w ke, and the fish had alot of cutlery introduced into the tank

He is not getting into the kitchen until heloses interest in turning off the w/m midcycle, either.

Last day of the hols today .
We're going to the cinema, I think.

mustrunmore · 03/09/2007 08:13

Well, pippa managed to get to the fish

Trouble is, ds2 can open all our doors now, so closing the bathroom isnt enough. All our doors are hung upside down (dont ask, I dont know...!) so the handles are very low!

Another ds1 nightmare bedtime last night. This morning, I've just rearranged all his toy storage/stuff in his room, including tipping full boxes into diffrernt ones, and he's slept thruogh it all My friend brought me another new toybox last night (freecycle), so I've been reorganising, and will give her a few of our plastic ones. The theory is, if we have heavy wooden blanket boxes, he cant tip them out so easily; trashing his room will require real effort, so he might be disinclined! And they look nicer.

Off on FREE hols at 10am

2boysmacca · 03/09/2007 10:59

Ah, what you need is sticking doors, then they can't open them We've just been round sanding them down so they open and shut properly but they haven't cottoned on yet that they now have the ability to open them

damewashalot · 03/09/2007 11:37

Hello!

Back from hols in scotland, had lovely quiet week now rushing around madly as back to school tomorrow.

What did I miss?

Oh and I may be around in the not too distant future saying oh shit a lot

Frizbe · 03/09/2007 20:20

Dame, have you been a naughty girl
waits with baited breath for the announcement.

Chloe, where are you girl? I want news

MRM have a great free hols

Jas at end of hols, hope you don't miss the girls too much hon {{{Hugs}}} I think I'm relieved to get dd1 back to pre school for more days, but also a bit sad, as next summer she won't get a proper break, as I'll be manning the shop....hopefully by the time she's at school, the year after, we'll be able to afford staff to cover the hols, so I can have time with both the girls again.

Hello to everyone else whose about? I've been for a lovely pampering day today eyelasshes and eyebrows done, back massage, pedi, manicure and facial I finally used up my birthday prezzie off dh

Phoenix · 03/09/2007 21:19

Chloe's on holiday Friz

Phoenix · 03/09/2007 21:23

According to our meet up thread she flew to Cyprus on Aug 29th. Can't remember how long she's going for

damewashalot · 04/09/2007 08:25

Where is everyone? it's very quiet on here.

yes frizbe there may have been some badness (well not that bad as would like another one just not the most sensible thing in the world but we thought we'd see what happened) but my periods are still being odd so rather than last months 34 days which would have meant oops mid cycle I started this morning on day 23 so it wasn't mid cycle and no news.
Not sure if or but dh is bit of both we may well be TTC best get the folic acid on the go incase.

Back to school don't want to boys quite happy about it, ds2 excited as loves school but I like having them around and ds3 is going to be hard work.

2boysmacca · 04/09/2007 08:44

Have you had your results back Dame?

Am I the only one who is looking forward to ds going back to nursery? I'm looking forward to spending time with ds2.

Right, off to see my trainer. I'll be back battered and bruised and feeling full of energy. I really want to shift some pounds but they aren't moving, a little like my baby belly

damewashalot · 04/09/2007 09:32

No results yet.

Off to have a cuppa

Jas · 04/09/2007 13:17

I CAN'T SCROLL TODAY[HMM] SO I HAVEN'T READ. I'M STILL HERE. SPET THE DAY SO FAR MOVING DS INTO THE DDS ROOm. Tootired to retype without caps.

I will come back properly later in the week once thngs settle down again here.

KelBelle · 04/09/2007 23:05

Well you can tell CSWS is away, it's very quiet on here!!

I'm still waiting for news re Chloes pregnacy tests too!!!

I have decided to go back to work for 2 days a week, I need to work on a Friday and a Monday though to get DS into the nursery I like which could cause problems!! I might get a job in Bluewater instead of going back to admin/accounts though so will try and choose a childrens shop and give you all discount when you come and visit me!!

DS hasnt attempted going down the slide standing yet. He did get half way down yesterday and walked the rest

I have taken the stair gate off bottom of stairs but still have on on kitchen and at top of stairs. I relocated the one I moved to DS's room so that the dogs cant get in there and I can leave his door open at night and also for when he goes into a bed.

A few friends from Wales have invited me, hoping to go in a few weeks time for a few days. Very excited as not had a holiday for 2 years and it will be DS's first time away.

KelBelle · 04/09/2007 23:07

Sorry about that, I blew a raspberry at the dog and she pawed the keyboard!!

Jas · 05/09/2007 06:34

Yo are just rying to make up for my missing doble posts, Kel

Going back to work sounds like a good plan. You seem quite positive atm.

Dame - [ sad] no news this month, but [smle] at ttc. Sensible is boring. Everyone keps tellin me four is easier than three, and we should have another, too (I know lots of people with four!).
NOT going to happen before anyone starts smrking.

The childen all slept pretty well last night. Having ds in with them may even help dd2 get more sleep (she needs alot, but dd1 has always kept her awake).
They were all downstairs at 5.50 this morning.

I have more clearing away of stuff upstairs to do today, plus a bit of work, plus friends coming over this afternoon.

2boysmacca · 05/09/2007 08:34

ds2 is not going down very well at nights, I have no idea why but I seem to remember ds going through a bit of a blip like this.

Boys have just gone upstairs to play trains, which means I can turn the dam tv off! Woohoo

Phoenix · 05/09/2007 09:37

Morning,

The new pushchair came this morning, I love it

I took ds to the docs yesterday cos he's had this dry red rash thing above his top lip for ages which we thought his dummy was causing so were putting vaseline on, which at first was clearing it but for a while now it hasn't cleared at all, and he's only having his dummy for sleep now, so i thought i'd better get it looked at. The doc said it looked like a bit of eczema but it was infected so he gave us cream (fucidin) to put on 3 times a day. It looks loads better today. I'm a bad mummy for not taking him sooner

We're having a carpet fitted in the attic this afternoon so ds will be up in his new bedroom soon, we've still got a few little bits to finish off.

Kel does your ds get himself out of his dreambag cos ds does everytime he's in it so i don't think i'll be buying anymore. cos they're loads cheaper than grobags.

Hope everyone's ok

Phoenix · 05/09/2007 12:31

I've braved soft play now the kids are back at school It was so quiet we were there an hour and were the only ones in. Got to wait in for the carpet fitters now Dh will be home in an hour tho so i might go back out and he can wait in

damewashalot · 05/09/2007 13:35

Sill no results, they have to be signed off by a consultant.

Oh well, at least it's all a lot better most of the time.

mustrunmore · 05/09/2007 15:56

I'm home Nice to go away, but nice to be home too At least there's no 6ft dancing animals here

FlameBatfink · 05/09/2007 16:06

My reason for hatin the places

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 05/09/2007 16:30

But it was Freeeeeee!

FlameBatfink · 05/09/2007 16:37

Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or non-free/home without big crocodile/tiger

Home wins

Come see me next time - if all else fails you have the sofabed and we clear everything to the sides of the diningroom for boys to sleep in! Actually, move a few things round in the kid's room and we could probably fit a ready bed and travel cot in there
