Not a fetish but I do need the photos so I can say to BabyDragon "look! See, it wasn't just your brothers, I did try to drown you too..."

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2007 21:12

That is so not baby dragon. It's her 6 year old cousin or something. I refuse to believe any different.

DH now en route to France with fully loaded car, including roof box and bikes on the back! The rest of us are off early in the morning.

Be good whilst I'm away, and somebody keep notes so that I can have a summary when I get back will you - I'll never manage to read a whole fortnight's postings in one go!

Eek for car bump. Glad it was only slow and no-one hurt.

mustrunmore · 01/09/2007 21:14

Ah, csws, you'll have a great time

2boysmacca · 01/09/2007 21:16

I know I've asked before, but where in France are you off too? I think it's very funny your dh ahs been sent off on his own with a packed car and you're all flying tomorrow!

My skybox has definitely bust so we're now on channels 1-4 (no 5). It's worse than freesat. Really need to purchase a new box to get freeview!!!!! We tried to do boxoffice on sky but now we don't subscribe you have to phone, they then add another £1.00 tot he £3.95. Crap! and dh worked for them for 3 years!!!!

FlameBatfink · 01/09/2007 21:55

Babydragon is a full grown girl!

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2007 21:57

Blimey, can't imagine life without Sky+, let alone without any Sky!

We're going to Aquitaine, in SW France, staying at the Siblu place there (La Reserve if anyone can be bothered to look it up).

He's not been packed off completely on his own though - my dad is with him, and they are sharing the driving!

FlameBatfink · 01/09/2007 22:28

Have a good holiday

DH is back to his game Just watched a Simon Pegg film (Big Nothing?) - really enjoyed it

macca- there was a thread on here yesterday that Tescos are dong a freeview box for £10.

Glad there was no serious damage to the car, Flame.

I love the pics, soupdragon, the second is my favourite. It's her eyes.

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/09/2007 07:45

We're all going on a, summer holiday.............

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/09/2007 08:56

mustrunmore · 02/09/2007 09:23

Well, its sunny here too [ grin]
Not sure what to do today; we'd decided o go swimmming, but ds1 was such little shit last night that I tols him it was off idf he didnt go to bed on the final warning. Kind of shot myself in the foot there.

We saw the last 20mins of something called Without A Paddle, which was vaguely amusing.

YeahBut · 02/09/2007 09:26

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a lovely summer. Back from an enforced 6 week mumsnet break - hols with no internet access. Had a lovely time in the Lake District with the children then met up with dh in Umbria. Fab weather, great pool... Alex decided that he loved swimming and by the end of the holiday was jumping off the side of the pool at dh! Back to grey rainy Holland.
Alex is doing well. Can't believe he's 19 months now. He's a real bolter atm. Can't be trusted out of the pram. We have to check every park for potential escape points or deathly climbing potential before we let him loose. Worse than having a dog!

FlameBatfink · 02/09/2007 10:32

Seth Green in the film MRM?

Let DS1 earn swimming back by doing x,y,z

to Yeahbut - I have a climber n bolter too - fun innit

Bye bye CSWS (looked at the Bournemouth forecast, more cloudy, but still warm)

Better plan; escaping with friend to pick up clothes from freecycle and then go to a car boot

Phoenix · 02/09/2007 18:41

Probably a bit late but have a good holiday csws's

for car bump flame. Glad it was only a slow one.

Hi Yeahbut

at Babydragon photos

for Mika (thanks Mr MRM)

We saw this pushchair (but in black) in Toys r Us today and both really liked it (unusual for dh to have an opinion on a pushchair) I've been bugging him for ages to let me get another Zapp but he hates them so i was very surprised he liked this one as its so similar looking. The difference is it reclines and has a shopping basket under. Anyway it was out of stock in store so i've ordered it online and should have it in 4 days I love getting new stuff

Phoenix · 02/09/2007 18:45

This is it in black. No one's probably interested but i'm showing you anyway

Phoenix · 02/09/2007 18:47

This one should be black

mustrunmore · 02/09/2007 19:40

Hey, dont thank me yet ; have given it to friend to post who is not known for her promptness , because we're off to Pontins tomorrow!!

Like the buggy. But a part of m,e is very glad that this'll be my last buggy ever

Ended up in 2 car bots today... fantastic bargains that I wonr bore you with. Alot of free stuff And the best one is 2 Harry potter toddler snuggle sacks and a kiddiguard stairgate (which are £55 new) for £6 the lot! And a huge micromachines truck that folds out into a playscene for £3. And tons of oher stuff, but all of it useful! Very happy!

2boysmacca · 02/09/2007 20:07

but you don't need a stairgate.....do you? Ours have just been taken down. An end of an era is fast approaching.

We've not done that much this weekend. Did the gym yesterday, into town for a bit of a shop and then the afternoon in the park. This morning we had a crap time with ds2 which started at 3.30! At 5 dh got up with him but I couldn't get back to sleep so I got up an hour later. I tokk ds into town for a coffee so dh could sleep. We all went to local gardens for picnic and got lost in the maze for an hour! Came home, went out for a run then cooked. That's about it. Oh, bought a swim jacket from a m'netter for ds.

How's your running going MRM?

FlameBatfink · 02/09/2007 20:12

Oooooooooh good goodies! We still need a stairgate - he plays in the toilet (and I do mean that and not "in the bathroom") otherwise..

OP posts:
Phoenix · 02/09/2007 20:23

flame, the other day i found ds tearing bits of toilet roll off putting them down the toilet and just as i walked in he was just reaching in to retrive them I knew he was quiet for a reason

FlameBatfink · 02/09/2007 20:29

I found DS with a hairbrush in there...

OP posts:
Frizbe · 02/09/2007 20:37

We're keeping our stairgates on too, otherwise dd2 empties all the cupboards and the fridge in the kitchen, and then when we transfer her to a bed in a few months, she'll be legging it downstairs like her sister used to try to, prior to gatedness!

CSWS/MRM have great hols
MRM I love Heroes

Flame, ouch for car bump, hope all is sorted and paid for by the other party ok.

Hi Yeahbut! have a bolter here too She's decided today was the day to keep undressing herself too tops and bottoms off at every occasion.....that coupled with me chasing her round the pub last night, after we went out with my folkes for dinner seems madam does not want to be in a highchair anymore, except for, and only for food when it arrives, thank you very much

Phoenix, like the buggy
Any news on Chloe?

Hi Jas
Where is Kelbel these days?

Was sooo poorly this am, dh and I drank ourselves silly last night, a bottle of wine each, I drank nearly a bottle of green apple stuff and dh did half a bottle of brandy we were up dancing in the living room until 2am ish Got up at 8am with the kids, thankfully dh was a bit better than I, as I had to go back to bed at 9am, feeling very, very rough/still drunk....must remember am not a teenager anymore! finally managed to take the kids swimming at 3pm after we'd both sobered up and managed to hold down food

Frizbe · 02/09/2007 20:39

Oh and great photos soupey does she do that all by herself then? the swim thing? we do aqua babies, but it's with me holding her or floats, they don't let em bob off on their own!
