lol flame. Tis ideal, if only it were bigger. Maybe next time eh?!

Glad your day got better macca. That's why I order online most of the time these days.

Phoenix - I shall expect a full report on your trip to the toddler group when I return from my holiday.

Well our day started dreadfully again. In fact dh woke me being all noisy before it was even 6am, and then our attempt at ttc was interrupted by dd waking up at 6:15 . I just know I'm going to ov whilst dh is driving to France and I'm in a different country!

DD had driven me up the wall by 8am, but we went out to see our usual Friday friends at 10. Left friends at 1:45, and dd was asleep within a min or two, and stayed asleep in the car on the drive until 4:05pm!! Unfortunately, I'd left the aircon on in the car for her, and it drained my battery, so when I went to take her to the doctors it wouldn't start . Had to take her in dh's, and call the AA out to get mine going again, as it wouldn't jump start. Anyway, doc said there's no ear infection or problem with her chest (just wanted to make sure before we go away), so that was good. Then got home and played in the garden for a bit, and then inlaws arrived. They stayed for dinner, which dd ate - hurrah for butternut squash risotto!

DD straight off to sleep when she went to bed at 8:15, so I'm now watching BB final.

Oh, and dh went to the doctor's this morning. He'd never even met our doc before, so he must have felt bad! Turns out he has a grim ear infection.

mustrunmore · 31/08/2007 22:07

Poor you Macca. we hd similar trauma but not as bad (for a change!). He wa as good as gold all day in London, but played up in Harvester at teatime, whilst ds2 discovered he could escpe from the faulty highhair straps. My Dad was not impressed [hm] Good day up tiil hen though.. London Eye, boat trip, streeet performers(ds1 fascinated by the Invisible Man one) fountains and sculpurs at the Southbank, Museum of London (ds1's choice;loves the Great fire).

Phoenix, dh has done your Mika, just need to organise myself into posting!!

Jas, how can you function without a cd player?? I really truely couldnt.

Frizbe · 31/08/2007 22:09

CSWS Ouch for dh's ear, hope you have a great week away thought, and dd gets over the boob thing, think I agree with MRM's idea of just knocking her off them

Macca {{{Hugs}}} for your day, hope your having some pop to assist with recovery!

re the sliding stuff, dd2 has tried it a few times this week and has had to contend with me yelling SIT at her, which she duely does! odd they're all trying it at the same time, dd1 has never attempted it at all

Phoenix, agree with everyone else, go and it'll be fine! I found myself no doubt boring the mum of one of dd1's friends tonight (ran into her at aqua aerobics), actually I think she's dd1's 'Best' friend in as much as a 3 year old can have one of those....she keeps asking for said friend to come round, but as mum's we've not yet swapped numbers, I'm wondering if we should, but am also feeling a tad apprehensive about it, incase the other mum doesn't like me/has decided after me twittering at her tonight, that she doens't want her dd to be my dd's friend! Guess pre school on Monday will tell eh

Dd2 ran smack into the front door edge today Jas, thought of your ds when she did it she seems ok though, just minor screaming incident

Frizbe · 31/08/2007 22:11

Jas do you use/have a dvd player, I use that for cd's downstairs!!
ss has declared he's getting dh and I speakers for the pc's for birthdays and Xmas!!

MRM, sounds like a lovely day we're off into Derby tomorrow, not half as exciting somehow!

Frizbe · 31/08/2007 22:12

Oooh and thanks for telling me about the burning I shan't tell him that, best to find out about that himself, unless he reads this of course!! btw how long was he feeling sorry for himself afterwards? days?? asking as it's my dad's 65th on the Sunday, (op on the Friday) so hoping he'll be ok to sit in the car, then move to sofa at the other end, then back again!

Jas · 01/09/2007 07:14

I don't even notice most of the time that I never listen to music Only whn people talk about stuff produced this millenium, which I have never heard of. Then I feel old. I do have a dvd player downstairs, but nothing apart from the §mika thing that I could listen to. I occasionally manage music tv. Does that count?

I hope dp feels better soon csws.

I've forgotten what else I wanted to stay, and dd1 is waiting to use he computer. Sorry if I've ignored something important.

Back later.

mustrunmore · 01/09/2007 07:43

Friz, even he said it really wasnt as bad as he'd been expecting. Fine on day one (anasthetic still working!), bit sore days 2 and 3, worst was day 4(but didnt help that ds1 kicked him in the groin ). Then very itchy after a week or so, from the healing process round the stitches (although his discharge advice said he wouldnt have any stitches...). But he said the pain was just in his tummy, like it apparently feels if you've been kicked there. Like a strong ache. He was at work the day after the procedure though (couldnt get any time off as his colleague had alreasdy booked holiday), and was fine. He tried to avoid heavy work, but the fire alarms went off and he had to run, which hurt (he is responsible for the fire panel). But I'd say all over within a week, apart from the odd whinge about itching. Stitches took a couple of weeks to dissolve though.

mustrunmore · 01/09/2007 07:44

Who was it that liks Heroes BTW? Jas? Saw a load of famous people yesterday, who were apparently the cast from it. Not that I'd have known.

Jas · 01/09/2007 07:47

Not me.

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2007 08:16

Think it's macca who watches Heroes isn't it?

FlameBatfink · 01/09/2007 10:11

I like heroes... can't get excited about any of the cast though (apart from Christopher Eccleston )

FlameBatfink · 01/09/2007 19:53

Van just reversed into me - only about 5mph, but I could see it coming and there was nowhere to go and it hit me as I hit my horn Poor woman looked more shaken up than me - she had never driven the van before, and was on her way home from hospital as her boyfriend had had a stroke - took her number etc, told her to go home and have a drink and I'd call her in the morning!!

OP posts:
2boysmacca · 01/09/2007 19:55

Yikes! Much damage?

FlameBatfink · 01/09/2007 20:00

No, just a scrape on the bumper and the bit that holds on the number plate is broken (number plate itself is in one piece)
