I'm allowed to eat them just a few each night .

We had a nap today. A massive 20 minutes!

mustrunmore · 25/08/2007 15:10

Oh my God! Ds2's 'new' cotbed is fantastic! And enormous! Just put it up, and he tried to get in straight way! And the man that gave it me was really nice; talked me through the construction, helped me load itin to the car, even offered refreshments I'm chuffed today

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/08/2007 17:17

Good stuff mrm.

Another tedious day of being screamed at whilst we tried to get stuff done, and I got my hair totally butchered by some whippersnapper this morning.

Going to a murder mystery dinner party tonight, and I'm supposed to be an archaeologist with suggested outfit of long velvet cloak, large floppy hat with a feather in it, and monocle or glasses on a chain, none of which I have . In-laws are putting poor dd to bed, which will be interesting since mil 'doesn't do nappies'.

Just fancy an early night and some peace and quiet really.

mustrunmore · 25/08/2007 18:21

And nor does she have towels.

Tonight sounds great.. enjoy it!! Er, no ideas re a last minute costume though.

HAIR PHOTO NEEDED!!!!!

Flame, am I still going to be getting those nappies to try? Just wondering...

mustrunmore · 25/08/2007 21:35

Why have you all left me??????

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/08/2007 07:36

Last night was really good. One of our friends was on very good form, and did an American accent all night for his character - had us in stitches.

Wore beige shorts, green top, straw hat, my glasses with a random chain attached, and walking boots. Looked like an archaeologist to me.

DD survived too. She behaved really well for PIL (grr - I wanted her to play up at least a bit ). She went to bed with no fuss at 7:45 (earlier than normal) and wasn't heard from after that. We did discover that she was wearing her nappy back to front when she got up though .

Forgot to take pic of hair/costume though - might do one for you later of hair.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/08/2007 18:50

No-one around today then?

Have spent the day bfing again, but dd now has temp of 39.9, so suddenly feel happy to pander to her.

mustrunmore · 26/08/2007 19:02

I'm sort of here. But dh in a foul mood, and I've bee non the phone for 48 mins
But I think I'vefound soeone to give the yellow cot to

2boysmacca · 26/08/2007 19:55

mrm, what do you suggest for stiff glutes? Hurt myself running and heat spray ain't doing a thing. Once I'm walking it's bearable but if I sit down I can't work for a few mins without hobbling. Advice needed??

mustrunmore · 26/08/2007 20:55

A nice man to rub you? Actually, I quite like that kind of soreness Tiger balm?

2boysmacca · 26/08/2007 20:58

Nah this isn't a nice pain, this is can't put your weight on otherwise you'll collapse sort of pain. Dh has offered his services!

mustrunmore · 26/08/2007 21:19

But is he any good?! Dh tries, but sometimes it'd be better if he didnt bother, as it gets my hopes up for nothing!

KelBelle · 26/08/2007 23:22

Hellllloooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I've finally made it online for a catch up!! Have had a very busy week as I have decorated my living room and had my new carpet laid that DS has spilt paint on. Also bought a new laptop from Dell for £20 a month so I can have wireless internet and be on here more often as I hate the pc I currently have as it's in a cold dining room and I get really uncomfy in there so I'm now typing to you all from the comfort of my sofa!!

DS has had a week of tantrums, we are definately in the terrible twos already. Have tried to ingnore but sometimes they go on for so long I do have to growl "THAT'S ENOUGH" to him and it seems to do the trick. We also had tooth number 17 come through which has given him really awlful nappy rash but only 3 to go!! YAY

What's everyone doing tomorrow for bank holiday? I'm planning on spending some time in the garden if it is nice, putting DS's paddling pool together and playing with him outside.

Can anyone do me a quick update please if you have time?

Jas · 27/08/2007 09:39

I've skim-read, but Northren lights looks good for my nappy choice

I as at EuroDisney....much more fun than I as expecting, but exhausting, and slightly odd. e also fitted in a trip to the local casualty department, for ds to have his face stitched Not pleasant He split right through his lip falling over.

He got over it quicklyand is happy again no. No idea ho they ill get stitches out of his face though.

Back properly tonight or tomorro.

KelBelle · 27/08/2007 10:29

Oh no Jas, hope Boy is ok now.

Not sure what to do with DS today, might just go and do some gardening and let him have a run around out there. Weather is nice and sunny in Kent!! What's everyone else up to?

Jas · 27/08/2007 12:36

Recovering from the eekend

Lovely and sunny here too, dds are playing hile I do houseork, and (hopefully) ds sleeps.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/08/2007 14:40

Oh no Jas - one child having stitches over the summer was bad enough, but two only weeks apart . I'm guessing he was bothered about it for less time than you though.

DD still not well, but we got her temp down with Nurofen this morning, so have been to Woodside for a couple of hours of fresh air. Just got back and dd is asleep in car. My boobs are enjoying a few hours off too! Am going to take advantage of her being asleep and try and sort some holiday stuff, else I will end up with no idea what I'm taking and nothing packed come Saturday.

Jas · 27/08/2007 16:31

He forgot the initial injury quite quickly, but they wouldn't let me stay ith him hile he as stitched. I had to standoutside and listen to him scream, Then he stopped that as worse. Just as I as about to crash into the treatment room, he started screaming again, and then it as all done.

2boysmacca · 27/08/2007 18:50

Jas. I bet they are stitches that disintegrate, I hope so.

We went to Knebworth for the day today. There was a classic car rally which ds loved and we then went on the dino trail and adventure playground. Lots of running around and very dirty boys later, they are fast asleep. I am relaxing with a nice glass of white wine to go with my Thai Salmon and roasted toms.

MRM, I can't complain with dh's massage, they usually do the trick or I fall asleep!

Phoenix · 27/08/2007 18:57

Jas there's 2 w's in your last post

for boys stiches.

for Pippa not been well.

We've not been up to much today just a walk round the park and then to my mums for a few hours.

FlameBatfink · 27/08/2007 19:17

I'm crap, sorry! Eek for Boy and for Pippa

Jas · 27/08/2007 19:25

Yes Phoenix I have discovered I can get the letter by spellchecking, but some words I forget, and some it won't do. Like as, et, ho, and ho.

They are definitely non-dissolving stitches, macca. I'm going to take him to be seen tomorrow I think as the wound inside his mouth looks horrible, but I'm not sure if that is ho it is supposed to look hen healing in a permanently et environment.

Pippa and css. You must be shattered.

2boysmacca · 27/08/2007 19:25

Why are you crap Flame? Take it easy on yourself woman!!!

2boysmacca · 27/08/2007 19:28

Dissolving! That was the word I was looking for

Obviously I have no idea how his mouth looks but it is usual for it to look very nasty inside the mouth when it is healing. I hope the offer you some comfort tomorrow.

2boysmacca · 27/08/2007 19:29

How do you spell check Jas?
