Pain in the neck maybe

mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 08:15

hmm. Personlayy speaking, it'd be utter didaster. But there you go.

Raiininig here again.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/08/2007 08:29

New tooth Chloe.

Looks miserable here too, despite a good forecast. We are out this morning though, and have friends coming round this afternoon.

Phoenix · 24/08/2007 08:43

Well it's looking like it's gonna be a lovely day again here

I def can't complain about Lewis' morning eating, he's on his second bottle of milk and has just finished a big bowl of rice crispies

ellenrose · 24/08/2007 09:04

Hi - flying visit as always but quick enough to send Flame and CSWS a hug for your rough days, hope things are improving

Hello to everyone else - off to enjoy the sunshine whilst I can and try to get ds2 away from Cars for five minutes - some luck

Phoenix · 24/08/2007 09:08

And now he's eating grapes.

Hi ellenrose

mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 17:18

I must improve my typing.

Hello all

Picked up dh's boots from freecycle today; he's not in till after muidnight so cant try them, but they look fantsatic; in really good nick. And the dvd is alive again But ds1 is on a telly ban after a terrible bedtime; ytpical!

We also went to get a little cupboard off freecycle, which i'm going to paint white and kee pshoes in, in the kitchen. Its about 60cm by 50cm by 40cm; brought it home on a 3 leg bus journey 8in an ikea bag tied up with an inner tube, with buggy pushed with other hand. It was heavy

FlameBatfink · 24/08/2007 18:17

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed Jas - unless someone else wants to pick a nappy for her son

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 18:29

i'll pick. Anything purple that soaks up enough wee.

FlameBatfink · 24/08/2007 19:16

Northern Lights then MRM?

2boysmacca · 24/08/2007 19:33

I'm signed up, paid my deposit and start my course in October. Yikes!!!!!

We went to see Thomas and friends today. Was very difficult with ds2, he tried to get out of the troublesome trucks more than once whilst it was moving but otherwise a successful day!

Inlaws coming for the weekend so i'm gonna sneak into the gym tomorrow before they arrive then I need to think of what to feed them. Think I will do pork roast (with crackling of course) and roast tatties. Need to think of a dessert.....

Boys in bed, wine poured (first drink since Saturday night!!!!). Now going to veg in front of Corrie whilst I wait for dh to get home.

mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 19:34

Thats a very good colour. give me a choice of three, and I'll tell you which one she wants htouugh!!

FlameBatfink · 24/08/2007 19:46

Well, obv I like the animally ones as you get more pattern for your money! like the dalmation. Plain ones are less worth money, but I am drawn to black/choc/dark green.

2boysmacca · 24/08/2007 19:53

Fwiw, I lurve the berryplush!

FlameBatfink · 24/08/2007 20:04

She's already getting a dalmation, and black are out

OP posts:
MrCSWS · 24/08/2007 20:10

Black too boring. Choc is lovely but will end up same colour on inside as outside . The Everglade is lush, as is the Northern Lights, and I think that Jas would also like the Ocean and the Lavender. What colour did she order that is out of stock?

Stressful morning this morning. Was left to run the toddler group as other committee members weren't there, but dd kept running out of the room (she can open even the really heavy doors by herself) and I kept having to chase her. When people were starting to leave, I was doing the paperwork, realised I couldn't see her, and rushed outside to find that she had got out and run up the road (busy main road in town) , and a stranger man had brought her back.

Better afternoon, as Pennies came round with her dds, so I actually got to have some conversation (with someone else who is pro private schooling ) without panicking about what dd was up to.

Oh, tis CSWS btw, but am on dh's machine whilst he faffs with something on mine.

FlameBatfink · 24/08/2007 20:13

She wanted ocean - has just text to say purples, greens, patterns... will get a northern lights and a everglade and she can pick

(will read your post in a min)

Eek for your morning

We quit painting and went to the beach. Dh never suggests going to the beach - it was loooooooooovely. DS has no fear - running into the sea, didn't even pause at the cold, wouldn't hold my hand - was up to his nipples before a wave splashed his face - he spluttered, turned round... and ran back to shore

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/08/2007 20:42

Ooh sounds lovely, and lol at ds.

My poor poppet has a hacking cough that is disturbing her sleep lots. Nothing much that works for a cough is there?

2boysmacca · 24/08/2007 21:12

humidifier?

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/08/2007 21:25

Hadn't thought of that. We went with medised, which seems to have helped.

mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 21:29

csws. I remember that hppening in the local library once, and the mother was so distraught looking amongst the shelves for the kid , who was half way up the road.

That really threw me; thought it was odd for Mrcsws to have such precise opinions on nappies!!

Flame, bugger off with your tales of the sea

All keep fingers crossed that ds2 might soon have a cotbed for free. Wuold solve the fact that the bolts work themselves loose in his (I seem to breed children that jump till they destroy...), and also we could keep ds1 in his toddler bed longer, as ds2 wouldnt need to inherit it so soon.Well, it makes sense to me!

ds1 only went to sleep 9.05pm, but he was really good. No tantrums, and it was all an hr later anyway as ds2 didnt go till 8pm (huge nap in buggy). We had a good half hour doing more phonics/rhyming exercises etc.

2boysmacca · 24/08/2007 21:39

Ds is in a full size bed and has been since ds2 was born, we needed the cot bed .

We had no afternoon naps hence ds2 rather unsettled. He keeps crying out after each cycle, even though his dummy is about an inch from his face! Me thinks we're going to have a looooong night.

G'night all.

ps, how did the milk chocolates go down csws?

mustrunmore · 24/08/2007 21:41

I'm sure they must be in the post to me
