Morning

My friends baby is back in hospital again she had a massive fit on Friday which took around 2 hours and 3 lots of meds to bring her out of it. They've now said its epilepsy she has but they are also doing tests to rule out a bleed or tumour

We're calling our goldfish Chish and Fips (dh's idea)

What's everyone up to today? It's dh's neice's 5th birthday today and MIL doing a little party for her at her house so we're going there for a bit and nothing else planned.

mustrunmore · 19/08/2007 10:05

Oh no Poor thing.

We're supposed to be going to the farmers market then the funfair, but its chucking it down

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2007 10:14

Oh poor thing .

We're off to in-laws for lunch.

2boysmacca · 19/08/2007 10:14

We're off to Ask for lunch

Phoenix · 19/08/2007 16:35

We're home from MIL and Lewis is fast asleep cos he missed his morning nap and just had about 10 mins in the car on the way to mil's. He's had fun running around the (wet) garden with his cousins. PIL had a 14 foot trampoline in their garden which they are looking after for their neighbours while they're on holiday and he loved been on that.

We also called at the pet store and bought 2 more fish instead of 1 so we have 3 now so we've scrapped Chish and Fips for names and we've got Tango (orange with bits of white) Casper (mostly white with bits of red/orange) and Clyde (orange and black)

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2007 19:41

Do any of you use Tesco online who can check this for me?

Why Clyde Phoenix - don't get that one, but I might not watch the right things!!

Phoenix · 19/08/2007 19:48

The orangutan in Every Which Way But Loose

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2007 19:53

Ahhhhh - as I was typing my last message I did wonder if it might be him!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2007 21:38

Oh ffs. There's so much f*ing rain forecast for this week, that we're hardly going to be able to go out again .

What's the plan for Tuesday Jas?

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/08/2007 21:47

mrm - didn't you do the science museum recently? Any good for dd? I didn't even know that it was free these days!

2boysmacca · 20/08/2007 07:21

This rain is doing my head in too

Science musueum in London? I did it last week. Probably too young for dd but there is always the Livesy or Horniman in Sarf London if you're heading that way, both ideal for little ones.

Jas · 20/08/2007 07:25

I remember seeing someone moaning about tescos online recently too, csws, but I can't find the thread now, either.
I ordered online once , two years ago, so probably haven't got favourites now anyway.

Science museum - I wouldn't bother. DDs are only just getting intereseted. It is great for small boys who like things with wheels though.Natural history museum is free, too, but dd may be a bit youg for that, too.

Tuesday...No idea. I'd like if you can come earlyish and stay for lunch. DP gets home anytime after 2 and is getting a bit pissed off with finding a house full every day when he gets back. If the weather is nice we could do the farm (cheap) or park (free, but the closest one has no swings atm, so a bit longer walk than last time you were here csws) If it is as bad as today, then play here, I guess

Phoenix - I'm impressed with fish naming. Mine are collectively called "fish"

mustrunmore · 20/08/2007 07:54

Oh, you will have favouites! I buy one thing, once, in the store, and all of a sudden its a favourite

csws; dd will like the basement fiddly area, but it'll be packed as its a rainy holiday day! There's also a hands on in the nat hist where you van poke skulls and things. then you could walk along to the park and look at the Di fountain, feed the ducks, have a hot choc. Wel, thats what I'd do, regardless of weather The princess Di playground wil also be empty on a day like this!

Jas, just tell me what time to comeish. I'm assumimng the trains are regular, as I havent even looked at that bit of the journey

Jas · 20/08/2007 08:26

As early as you like, mrm.
Trains run every 1/2 hour Phone/text me when you leave T Hale and I will meet you.

mustrunmore · 20/08/2007 08:32

Well, we wont be too early, as ds2 likes to sleep in till gone 6am now Was thinking of leaving here 9/9.30, maybe 45 mins to get to Hale?

ds1 wants to know what toys you've got

Jas · 20/08/2007 08:36

Perfect

We have no toys at all (I may sort out a small polly pocket selection for him to take home if he wants them.)

Got to go...dd1 has found a horsey web site to play on.

DP found a "Roofers chat site" last night which he was very amused by Hope he loses it or I will lose even more mn time.

mustrunmore · 20/08/2007 08:40

Oh. My. God. Do such chat sites really exist?!

I'm sure ds1 would love a polly pocket fiddly thing to take home. Not sure of the ethics of letting him think he gets a pressie for just visiting friends though! What would be good is if he does another good bedtime tonight, that'd be 2 in a row, and you couls tell him you heard about it?!

Jas · 20/08/2007 08:43

And if he doesn't, I'll give it to youto hide

Last night was good then?

mustrunmore · 20/08/2007 08:46

8pm Even with ds2 still awake and playing downstairs! But he'll still only setTLE FOR DH, which is going to be a big prob when he'd on late shifts again.

Phoenix · 20/08/2007 09:02

Morning,

Its my day off today and dh is working mornings so we're gonna take Lew to my mums this afternoon and make a start on painting his new bedroom (attic) I hate painting but it so needs doing.

I'm just about to take the dog for a walk then i need to go to asda cos we've got no food at all.

I'll be back on later this evening no doubt

It's not raining here yet in fact it's quite sunny but rain's forecast for the afternoon

Jas · 20/08/2007 09:24

Roofers chat

2boysmacca · 20/08/2007 10:46

Ok been to butchers and bakers this morning, and coffee shop for a croissant, now I'm at a total loss as to what to do this afternoon. ds2 will be off to bed in 30 mins and I ahve a pile of ironing to get through but I need to get them out for a runaround when he wakes. Arghhhhhh

We took the stair gate down at the weekend, it has left a hole in the wall so I need to patch that up at some point.

Right, off to play cars with the boys, apparently I'm going to be Luigi?!

Chloe55 · 20/08/2007 11:25

Morning everyone,

Is anyone elses child trying to excape out of their cot yet? It is on the lowest rung yet ds can managed to more or less climb up the sides using his feet and arm strength - he hasn't managed to get his leg over yet but I know he will soon work out that he could do if he wanted to once he has pulled himself up, arrgrgghh!!! Surely he is too young to even consider a bed yet?!!!

Hopw you all had lovely weekends, despite the rain.

Oh and still no period
