Your day just sounds delightful Macca

FlameBatfink · 17/08/2007 19:24

MRM - Psycho wants to know if she can tag along to the Xmas do too? (she will probably back out at the last min...)

Sounds fun macca

I spent all afternoon/evening in casualty having dd2s face stitched up. Lovely gash right through her eyebrow. Started with us and ds, no shoes, no food, 1 nappy, later dp and dd1 added to the mix so dp could have a go at me about the state of the house (stress response for him).
Eventually got her fixed without the need for a general anaesthetic. I'm all teary and tired now...back tomorrow.

mustrunmore · 17/08/2007 21:18

jas. Hope you're ok and calming down. Er, and dd of course.

2boysmacca · 17/08/2007 21:21

Big hugs Jas. ds did the same 3 weeks before ds2 was born. Split his cheek open in a shop, yuk! Very stressful for you. Stitches or glue? Hope a sleep sorts you all out

2boysmacca · 17/08/2007 21:21

How was Brum brum, gets things done, super hero....... la la la ?

mustrunmore · 17/08/2007 21:40

Very true to the tv programme Actually, ds1 loved it, and we got away with bypassing the merchandise And I had a child free 3 hours sorting out friends garage afterwards

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/08/2007 22:23

Jas. How did she manage to do that? Hope you're both feeling brighter by the time you read this.

Busy busy day here. Out with group of friends at baby gym this morning, then back to one of theirs for lunch til mid afternoon, then back home, but dd had a 20 min nap in car late morning, so didn't want to sleep again, so no break for me!

Got her to sleep at 7:40, but then had to prepare some food that I said I'd take to a birthday party tomorrow, and write a whole heap of cards, as well as doing some housework.

Have just managed to finish my book though, which was fab .

Dh finally coming home tomorrow. Meeting him at another friend's in London before the party, so that he can shower, as he doesn't get to Heathrow until lunchtime. He texted earlier to say he'd been given an upgrade to business, so was happy. It's not often he flies anything else long haul, but his client has got all strict on flights lately, so he was having to slum it!

mustrunmore · 18/08/2007 07:48

Sorry Flame, just realised I ignored you Of course she can come too. Have just seen the venue's changed to Clerkenwell though, which is bloody miles away Am hoping there might be some others to share a cab home with!
And just warn her that my sofa bed isnt very comfy and I have a badly behaved non sleeping ds1...

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 08:16

You confused me then saying Clerkenwell, but I see that that is by Farringdon, where I thought it was. 45 mins direct on the train to Farringdon for me, and they seem to run up until around half past midnight - far better than most London meets .

Chloe55 · 18/08/2007 12:59

Oh no Jas, how awful Hope you are all feeling better today, bless her.

Phoenix · 18/08/2007 16:20

for dd Jas, hope you're both feeling better today.

Right we've got a goldfish and i need a name for it help me think of 1. We will be getting another in a week or so, so i need 2 names really

Hope everyone's ok

FlameBatfink · 18/08/2007 17:11

Jas

MRM - all London is the same to me

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 21:04

DD not gone to bed yet . She dozed off in car for 35 mins at 5:45, and this has so far resulted in being an hour late to bed.
She's just enjoying playing with her daddy now that she's got him back.

She is now sporting a fat lip after a tumble at the party this afternoon. There was lots of blood gushing out of her mouth . Was glad that still bf, as gave her one to perk her up once the bleeding appeared to have stopped.

mustrunmore · 18/08/2007 21:16

Thats true maternal instict; sticking one of your body parts into a bleeding one of your childs She'll be ok, trust me; Brambles has a bleeding mouth or face nearly every day!

Ds1 has only just gone to bed New problem; he'll go to bed with dh but not with me, so I;m stuffed when I'm here alone. But egven with him, he'll only go late and under protest. And its causing arguments between us re what approach to take.

Took the boys swimming this aftrenoon; they loved it after initial tears (havent been afor ages )

Flame, watch out for the postman

FlameBatfink · 18/08/2007 21:22

Oooh 'citin

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 18/08/2007 21:25

Er, not that exciting!

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 21:28

So what approach do you each want to take? In fact tell us the 2 approaches, but not who thinks which, and we'll pick one from an unbiased viewpoint .

DD now in bed and asleep (I think).

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 21:29

Oh yes, do watch out for the postman. I finally posted your hairbrush back .

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 22:10

Can any of you remember what NAO changed her name to? It was something quite long iirc.

FlameBatfink · 18/08/2007 22:29

thanks

I thought she became Otter

OP posts:
CantSleepWontSleep · 18/08/2007 22:56

Nah, she had something quite obscure with no mention at all of Otters the last time I saw her.

mustrunmore · 19/08/2007 07:15

eeeerrr, yuck; flame hasnt brushed her hair since the piss up weekend

Jas · 19/08/2007 07:23

I've heard of Clerkenwell, but have no clue where it is, so I'm guessing it is not near me.

We had a very nice street bbq last night (in the rain). The dds played and went through 3 changes of clothes each.

dd2 is fine again. She is very accident prone at the moment, which I am blaming on growing. Must remember to make an appt to get the stitches taken out next week.

mustrunmore · 19/08/2007 07:41

Nothing is near you
