Funny one for you....

At mums earlier in the week...my granddad turns up, on his motorbike.. ok so he's 79, he's getting a bit old but you cant tell him. Anyways, he see's me messing on with my camera..conversation went like this..

GD - Oooo has that camera got a flash
Me - yeah why
GD - Oh I was wanting you to take a picture of my bike
Me - Ok, with you on it?
GD - No no, just the number plate, you see I bought this special spray that is supposed to stop speed cameras seeing your number plate - so I just wanted to see of it works..

Me - speechless - 79 year old speed demon granddad is a disgrace

Hi ladies

KHIN, pmsl at your drunken antics.

Ange, glad to hear you are feeling better.

Runny, what a pita about your dh's salary. I would speak to the CAB re lack of employment contract. Companies have a duty to issue one within the first 2 months of joining.

JoMa/Norma, hope you aren't too bored for too long!

Big hello to everyone else, as I have forgotten everything!

STILL feel crap. Getting fed up of it now, as it is also making me very snappy - more so than usual [evil emoticon]!!
Went to lunch as a friends house today - she has a 7 week old dd - really sweet, and has even more hair than Ange's dd!

AngeG · 03/08/2007 20:10

More hair than Izzy

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 20:50

beaut day here. we sat out in the sun for hours - being pampered by my mum. she has been a dote.
bought a twinkle jogging buggy off her friend today for £5. LOVE it but i know i will never go jogging. this ass would cause quakes over the country. did a couple of brisk walks on the beach. c loved being gently bounced around. she has really discovered her voice - and is using it to full effect!

what you all up to this weekend??

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 21:04

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 21:23

thanks!
weeonion, too lazy to try flannels
Normally find it just comes and goes (suppose that's let down) but haven't had a lot of time today to do it
Shouldn't really have stopped, got to a point about 4 or 5 weeks ago when I was getting loads but then stopped expressing so much but now I need to!!!

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:26

Hi ladies, Katy, Joma, Weeonion.

Have just been reading a few "back to work" threads and really wished I hadn't now .

emmymummy · 03/08/2007 21:27

Lots of people asked about LegoLand....it was fab, loads to do for kids of all ages. The site is vast, really well landscaped and set into the side of a hill, so you keep wandering into new areas you hadn't noticed before. It's really clean and well maintained, and just has a well-kept feel to it. There is so much to do/see you can't do it justice in a day. In fact, as we don't live too far away, we all now have season tickets, so can pop along whenever we fancy, even if it's just for a couple of hours. Obviously the larger rides have long queues, but there are plenty of other small rides, shows & entertainments that have smaller queues, or no queues at all. A friend of mine went today and said the place was surprisingly quiet, so the queues were short.

There's an area with water fountains/water guns that the kids can run about in in their swimming cossies - Emily absolutely loves this area and will easily waste an hour in there. So, highly recommended overall!

Only downside really is the food is pretty overpriced, but you can take a picnic in and eat it where-ever you fancy.

Right, off to bed....night all!

emmymummy · 03/08/2007 21:29

Pinions - don't even want to think about going back to work. Makes me feel very as this is my last period of maternity leave I will ever take.

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:32

I know here too. Am trying to "wean" myself back into thinking about it.

Have loved being at home for so long.

Sexonlegs · 03/08/2007 21:33

That sounds great EmmyMummy. I foresee a trip coming up!

Have just eaten yummy chinese, but now feel sick! Cold feels better tho!!

weeonion · 03/08/2007 21:35

pinions - when do you start back??

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 21:38

Nice one SOL let's hope it's almost over

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:39

No set date really but am thinking January time. Ages really, but am starting to get myself mentally prepared (if thats possible).

Have looked at it loads of different ways and I have to work would much rather be at home with my beautiful boys.

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:40

Glad ur getting rid of your cold sol, I always find a few drinks clears it .
