Sorry Liath, wasn't ignoring you - screaming baby interrupted what I was going to say which was 'freaky coincidence us posting at the same time!'

oooggs · 02/08/2007 20:56

quiet on here this evening.........MSN??????

Sexonlegs · 02/08/2007 20:57

Where the blimming heck is everyone????

Liath/Bumble, glad you had a good day, and Pinions and Leaky.

How was LegoLand Emmy?

Maveta, no, not knackered any more - not for a while now, as am extremely lucky in that K has been sleeping from 8 until 7.30 since about 6 weeks! I am knackered for other reasons though!! None of them exciting tho.

Mammyjo, lovely to see you. You have been well busy!! Not long to go until school then??

Ooogs, thanks for asking about B. She has been a lot better thankfully. We still have moments of awfulness, but seemingly it is not unusual for those heading off to school to be bolshy etc.

Well, nowt much going on here. K has been hard work today. I am convinced she is teething, as hands in the mouth, floods of dribble, and sudden crying for no apparent reason. Tried her with the teetha powder today, and don't know if it was coincidence or not, but she completely settled. Yesterday we tried it, and she moved and it went all up her nose! Looked like she had been sniffing something she shouldn't have!
No rolling over here. B rolled at 12 weeks, and I keep comparing K with B which I need to stop. Anyone else doing this with their subsequent baby/babies??

JoMa · 02/08/2007 20:59

nope, not msn
anyway, you have msn oooggs

zazas · 02/08/2007 21:55

Evening all,
I hope you had a good legoland day emmymummy - have been meaning to take the DC there for ages.
Hope you got some new bras Eddas?!! and your firewood oooggs!!! Sexonlegs - hope Dr was able to help?
Eca - wow and here I was blaming the Bf for the waking in the night - think I just have a rascal for a baby! last night was horrendous - up so many times and I ended up with her in bed by 4am where she just roots around for me continously and then sucks for a few mins and then drops off - drives me crazy! Have been doing what KHIN and letting her self settle at daytime naps and when I put her down at night - both which she does fine. Might have to send DP out of the room so I can do it through the night as he keeps getting her up and bringing her to me when she crys out - - even though I don't want her!!! As for injections - just had the 1st lot done, using plenty of homeopathy and she was fine. Decided with 4 school age kids in her face all the time, to do it now. Have had a previous very nasty whooping cough experience with a baby and don't want a repeat.
mammyjo - we did plaster of paris dinosaurs too! Haven't baked them in the oven for 3 hours though as instructed
maveta - another bf sleeping baby! I think I must be producing water! S doesn't roll either but can stand bolt upright on two stiff legs for ages - we are impressed Have taken S swimming quite a bit and dunked her under - she comes up with one annoyed face and splutters a bit but doesn't cry - last time she fell asleep in the water!

Had a fab day here with friends we met on holiday in France last year - they were up visiting family. Kids same ages and a mum I like and it was sunny. lets hope it is a start of a bit of summer........

eca · 02/08/2007 21:56

ooo, just picked up my washable nappies to try! exciting! right, off to put them in the washer.

Katy44 · 02/08/2007 22:15

quick lurk, hello everyone

elkiedee · 02/08/2007 22:17

SOL that's hilarious about your K powdering her nose, might have to look into for this stuff for Danny as he's gnawing away at his little hands.

Maveta, hanging out at your mum's sounds like quite a nice life to me.

Baby massage was fun today - Danny got chosen as the baby to demonstrate on, the downside was I didn't get as much practice at doing it myself. But he enjoyed it and I managed not to get peed on or worse! The woman who'd come to do the class was prepared for it and managed to stay out of the firing line.

Tomorrow we're off to Cambridge to meet up with Mike's mum again. Then at the weekend we plan to start tackling the chaos of what should be D's bedroom. Wish me luck, I need it.

emmymummy, how did Legoland go?

eca · 02/08/2007 22:17

zazas that sounds like one HUNGRY babe!! You must be knackered! What homeopathic remedy did you use when you had the jabs?

elkiedee · 02/08/2007 22:18

hi lurking one

eca · 02/08/2007 22:21

elkie - oooo, I LOVE cambridge! (although parking/traffic is a nightmare!) Hope you have a nice day. At the baby massage I went to they used a doll to demo on HV spoke to it and everything! I guess it meant that all the mums got to have a go and their babies weren't being handed over to complete strangers for a massage. I think T would scream the place down!

eca · 02/08/2007 22:22

right, better go. dh poorly in bed and in need of some tlc. Night all xx

JoMa · 02/08/2007 22:22

katy - shift yer arse

zazas · 02/08/2007 22:30

eca I had the homeopathy prepared specifically for me (actually for S of course!!!). But it did have arnica / ledum and thuja for the actual injections and then specific remedies for the actual vaccinations hib / polio etc. S had no real mark where she was injected - no swelling or redness or fever. She was fine but maybe she would have been anyway but it seemed to have helped.

With the feeding - I am trying to feed her a bit more with a routine (4 hourly) so I know she is having a good feed and getting the hind milk - but maybe I need to go back to completely on demand more or less during the day - I think that she slept better then? She is gaining weight although slipped a little down the charts but pretty average really. And yes I AM KNACKERED!!!! Don't get me wrong I have extra fat on me but I swear I wake up in the morning about a size smaller

maveta · 03/08/2007 07:32

how are the nappies Eca? What kind are they? I just ordered some more wonderoos

Zazas... well N definitely eats more often in the day now he´s sleeping more at night, I completely demand feed and it tends to be every 3 hours compared to his every 4 hours previously. Towards bed time he might even cram one or two feeds in at 2 hour intervals but I just let him when he wants especially cos I´m hoping he´s just tanking up for a long night

Of course, last night he woke at 3am. and 5am. and 6am each time only eating for a few minutes. Still not complaining, I just think back to when, as a newborn, it would be at those times but up for like an hour and a half at a time, not just 10mins!

It´s too hot here and N and I are really struggling. Am feeling pretty confined to the house as after mid morning it´s impossible to be outside until about 7pm at night, it really is roasting, like being in an oven. And with a small baby and no pool, that´s not a good thing!

Sexonlegs · 03/08/2007 08:07

Morning ladies.

Elkie, enjoy your trip to Cambridge today, and Good Luck with sorting things. You can buy the teething powders in Boots. They are called Teetha, and are some sort of homeopathic remedy.

Enjoy the nappies eca.

Maveta, I don't know how you ope with the heat. I remember when B was born in May 2003, and the Summer was ridiculously hot. We had her sleep downstairs in the lounge with the patio doors wide open, just in a nappy!

Hope everyone else is well. Still have a pants cold. Took Night Nurse last night - just half of the recommended dose. and Thank God I only took half of it. I feel like a zombie this morning!

Right, best get on. Happy Days ladies. xx

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 08:17
