Sexonlegs · 03/08/2007 21:56

Katy, ikwym. I am going back at the start of December, but know I wouldn't want to go sooner.

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:56

Its funny how different people perceive going back to work really.

I think the more prepared for it you are the better, though I know how hard I found it with ds1, which is why I am trying to psyche myself up for it, a real hardo I am .

JoMa · 03/08/2007 21:58

hey ladies!!!

Glad you enjoying yourself WO. Have you heard from vio?

I['m not going back to work well i might eventually... will have problems justifying not working when c is 18....

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 21:59

Well yes it's very different me sat here thinking about it to actually doing it. Am leaving T with mum for a day (at the most) in a couple of weeks to go and be on an interview panel and I'm stressing completely about that...will he miss me, worse, will he not miss me?? And that's for a day!!

Pinions · 03/08/2007 21:59

of joma and SOL.

weeonion · 03/08/2007 22:00

i am doing the whole keeping in touch days and will be building up more towards the end of the year.
however - i am doing the lottery every week now.
why did i not throw my lot in with a rich bloke

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 22:00

JoMa, why might you have to leave?
GMM - at 18 he might need you more than ever- washing, ironing, cleaning the bachelor pad...

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 22:00

weeonion, you work for the NHS don't you? I'm doing the KIT thing, how do I go about getting paid for them? No one seems to know!

weeonion · 03/08/2007 22:02

gmm - hey to you! i aint head from vio - hope all is ok with her.

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 22:03

In fact my boss doesn't even realise I get paid for them, might keep that quiet

weeonion · 03/08/2007 22:04

katy - i had arranged it with work that they would be added into my wages each month (depending on how many days i had done)

Pinions · 03/08/2007 22:04

Katy??

Katy44 · 03/08/2007 22:05

Hi Pinions
Oh, you were more organised than me then wo
Might have to get in touch with HR, if there's still any of them about!

Pinions · 03/08/2007 22:06

You want to go into work and not get paid?

weeonion · 03/08/2007 22:07

i thought that too pinion!!

JoMa · 03/08/2007 22:09

I guess katy means she might get the payment buut let her boss think she's doing it out of her devotion to the job?

OP posts:
Pinions · 03/08/2007 22:10

Or that as she gets paid she has to use her keeping in touch days?

Come on katy.

Sexonlegs · 03/08/2007 22:11

I think that's how I interpreted it JoMa. I also think my boss thinks I am doing it for love too!! I just email my Finance Manager with the hours I have done, and I get paid - hurrah!
