2Happy - my friend who is doing purees mixes in breastmilk with carrot or parsnip or whatever. that way they have a familiar taste as well as the new one.

congrats to MoM!

JodieG1 · 30/07/2007 17:56

Congrats to MoM. I'm still happy about the legs comment I got on Saturday night

Wilkie · 30/07/2007 18:18

Great news for MoM

2Happy/Lizz - Butternut Squash and Pear is a good puree.

J has cut his first tooth and started saying Dadadadadadada which is sooooo cute. He also pulled himself up to standing today on the sofa. Bit freaky and he looks a little odd cos he is so tiny. I have to say though, as lovely as it is that he is moving around - I do long for the days when he was happy laying in one place. I keep turning around to find him in a completely different place to where I left him and yesterday he found a piece of paper (no idea where from cos I always make sure there is nothing he can grab. I was washing my hair whilst he was crawling around upstairs with me, went through to his nursery to find he had puked his entire breakfast up and the paper was in the middle of the sick so he must have gagged on it. I felt awful!!!!!!

EAH - where has DH got that notion from?? Have you been discussing it?

Had a lovely anniversary day today. Went out for a lovely lunch at Pizza Express and had a wander around the city centre. PILs had J.

Well, i guess that secrets out! lol : laughalot thread crashing!

Was going to wait until i had seen it to announce it officially on here but seeing as some of you already know .....

I am only about 6 weeks and am terrified! This is the stage it all went wrong last time, although i didn't find out until 10 weeks. however, I feel completely diferent this time. I have symptoms which i didn't have last time but when they disappear i worry.

I don't know wwhen i woud be due, i have had iregular cycles since the m/c last year. Somewhere round about 20-24th march. Istill haven't been to DR but i wanted to go without the boys. Wil try and get an appt 2mo hopefully!

Still look in on you guys from time to time but its hard to keep up! Feel like i have missed out in some fantastic friendships.

Thank you for your thoughts-will keep you posted

Wilkie · 31/07/2007 08:20

2Happy · 31/07/2007 11:21

I'm only here briefly - I've got to drop ds2 at the CM for the first time in a mo, too, Wilkie, so huge sympathy. Is he back with you now? How did it go?

VinoRouge · 31/07/2007 12:09

Hello from vino's work!!! Yesterday was ok (didn't really do much tbh) altho being a bit more productive today. Lunchtime now so perfect time to MN. Ellen was happy with my mu yesterday altho felt like I hardly saw her. Left her ta nursery for the first time today, gonna ring them after lunch to see how she is. I didn't cry but felt bad that she was the first baby there.

Feel in an odd mood at the moment. Am really snappy with DH. Keep putting it dowm to back to work feelings. Typical that its sunny now!

Shimmer- I don't wash anything before using it whether its for me or Ellen, clothes or bedding.

Wilkie - sounds like you enjoyed the champagne

VinoRouge · 31/07/2007 12:19

rgee did you go the yorkshire meet up yesterday?

Wilkie · 31/07/2007 13:15

Vino - snappy...hmmmmm...you're not pg are you

All fine - J loved the childminder and barely acknowledged me when I walked back in

He is currently rolling around on the floor holding his feet and shouting dadadadadadadadada (hrmph, what about mamamamamamama?????)

VinoRouge · 31/07/2007 13:25

Lizzzombie · 31/07/2007 16:48

the mum of the baby who comes last should get the pimms in!

eandh · 31/07/2007 17:37

Phew 3 kids under 3 is hard work Ellie decided she didnt like nephew being here and went to her room to play checked her at 10.30 and she was asleep Hattie slept 10-12 I woke Ellie up at 11 and then nephew slept till 12.15, was like sleepy house here but couldnt get anything done as there was always one awake. House looked like bomb had hit it although all tidied now. Picked brothers g/f up from work and dropped her and dn home. Hats off to nemo and lth

Wilkie · 31/07/2007 19:51

Vino - can you help with this

OP posts:
JodieG1 · 31/07/2007 20:12

That's great Liz! I bet Ethan would lose as he will only crawl for things he wants. I heled my arms out to him earlier trying to get him to come to me and he was having none of it; when he spotted Caitlin's purple bag later on though he was off crawling to get it lmao.

Can I just say fuck and bollocks. Had to de nit dd and ds1 AGAIN today. Fucking school won't sent letters or even emails (they use parentmail) and some fucker isn't bothering to sort their kid's hair out so Caitlin picked them up again before school finished. I really detest combing it all out as well and I used the shampoo stuff to be doubly sure. I'm going to comb again in the morning. I swear if she gets them again I'm sending my own fucking letter round the bloody parents.

Sorry for all the swearing but I'm so annoyed and I've calmed down a lot since finding them. Grrr some people.

Wilkie · 31/07/2007 20:23

Jodie - that is really irritating. Why don't you approach the school about the issue??

J was crawling around naked upstairs whilst I was running his bath tonight. Came out the bathroom to find him stood up at the safety gate!!! I don't mean to sound wanky or competitive cos I'm honestly not being I am just totally about it. DH and I were not particularly early developers. Is it genetic or do some babies just get very active early on??

OP posts:
laughalot · 31/07/2007 20:34

Wilkie its really funny because Aidan was like that crawled really early, stood up early and even walked early he was about 10 months when he was walking however its only the past few months that his speech has picked up and hes just turned 3. Now lauren on the other hand still struggles sitting up, isnt crawling and defo wont say dadadada
.

VinoRouge · 31/07/2007 20:43

Wilkie sounds like you have your hands full! And you too Lizz and Jodie! Ellen won't be far behind them either cos she can lift her big fat tum off the ground now. She had enjoyed nursery today so feel happy about that.

Wilkie I replied to Annie about ECV. Worked out I had mine at 37+5.

We sat and had a beer and hummus, pitta, olives in the garden when we got home it was so sunny.

EAH have you needed an early night tonight?

Dragonhart · 31/07/2007 21:05

Trixy- Poor DS! Hope he is ok now.

Wilkie- Hurray that the coving is finished! Happy anniversary for Sunday. Glad all went well with the CM. Oh and it took LUke aaaaagggeeesss to say mama! He called me dada for a long time even though I was the one looking after him all day

Jodie- How exciting about the move to Spain. Do you have any idea when you will go? Also what a clever boy!! How annoying about the nits. Why dont they sent out letters?

Shimmer- Always wash new things especially for Ruth and LUke as Luke gets a rash if I dont. Guess it just depends on your skin. I also dont like the smell of out of the packet bedding.

Vino- Hope monday went well. I have only spent one night away from Luke since he was born We have been out but I have always come home to him except for the night before dsis wedding. God, I am such a sado arent I !!

Urban- What an awful woman! I would complain too. I get so fed up with people making noise late at night. There is a man doing up a house near us and he does stuff like cutting tiles with an electric saw at 10 at night

Rgee-Glad you had a good time at the wedding. Think looking after 4 kids is suitable punishment for a hangover

Lizz sounds like a busy weekend. Glad the weather was good for you. Well done to DJ too!

2happy Glad you had fun at the wedding too. A friend of mine went to university in aberdeen. We visited her there once and it was really nice. Had a great night out. Ruth is not too keen on solids either. I too am sure that Luke just ate, drank water and gave up feeds easily and without fuss but maybe it is selective memory!?

MOM- Congrats to you! Really happy for you xxxx

Well, weekend wasnt too bad. DH was off for thu afternoon for LUke's bday and saturday but has been working 12 hour shifts every other day. Fed up with it but next week should get better . Luke's bday went well, quiet but good fun. Cake was mmmmmmmmmmmm! Even if I do say so myself!

Ruth is still having problems with her poos! She seems to get stuck up as soon as I try to reduce her feeds and give her more water so if anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it. She is starting to do more but have to say I am with LTH on the whole not moving thing. Dreading having two of them getting about. Which one do you follow!?

Dsis has been taken into hospital today as her blood pressure is very high and they found protein in her urine. Very worried about her and the baby but BIL said not to worry as it is only a precaution. Did anyone else have prob with pre-eclamsia (sp?) Any advice?

eandh · 31/07/2007 21:39

just a quick post to say no early night for me as dh out playing football and I managed to lock myself in bathroom (lock jammed) by freak chance had my mobile in pocket so my dad came and rescued me was panicking as couldnt remmebr if i shut stair gate and worried about Ellie getting up.

Wilkie ellie sat up around 6 months crawled at 8.5months and walked by 11months but was pulling herslef up on furniture aroun 8months both dh and is sister were early walkers and nephew walked at 10months and neice at 9months so could be genetic??? Bloody nightmare when they learn to walk as Ellie deeloped a phobia of pushchair and wanted to walk everywhere.

LAL ellies hardly spoke at all till around 2.5 since then she hasnt stopped, we have full conversations npw but she also mimics what I say, tonight she told Chris 'eat your dinner properly with your fork and spoon or you'll go to your bedroom'

I had ecv at 37+5 didnt work though as ellie was stuck in breech position

Just typing my mum and dad a complaint letter about their holiday and am bargaining for 50% refund!!!!

eandh · 31/07/2007 21:40

sorry there were more typos than ever in last post think my h key stuck
