EandH, that the buggy Ds4 has. We have it in denim though.

Its a dream to push, it just glides along without any effort at all.

One word of warning though, because it glides so easily it will roll away easily too. Ds4 took a little trip across the car park in eastbourne yesterday because I didn't put the break on while I was getting something out of my bag!!

eandh · 18/08/2007 06:49

Thankyou for that warning especially as Ellie likes to 'push' Hattie can I ask quick question I think I have an older model as mine doesnt have a bumper bar but does your front wheel move around, DH fitted it on last night but it sort of wobbles a bit to the left and right but hasnt come off so am hoping that its meant to do that. Also the front tyre doesnt have tread on it should it have (back ones do have tread. Got to give it a clean up this morning then it'll look almost new.

Couple of bits missing like the pump and the extended sunshade thing but DH has found one of his many bike pumps that works on the tyres and fits in the holder and not to bothered by the extended sunshade as can always drape a muslin over the hood.

eandh · 18/08/2007 07:56

Just added new picture of hattie in her pushchair on my profile and ellie looking fetching in some glasses !!

yep been up since 6 so feels like lunch time here

LadyTophamHatt · 18/08/2007 11:09

My tyres don't have tread on any of them, which is FAB for off roading across field around here (ie for cleaning off the sheep poo)

the extended sunshade thing is pretty useless anyway. I usually leave ours off.
You can always get one of these things to shade Hattie. I have one and its FAB!

Mine has never had a bumper bar so I'm not entirely sure I know what one is
and the front wheel doesn't turn, it kind of tilts from side to side. You can lock it into position be a little grey(mine is grey anyway) lever that is beside the wheel, where it attaches to the frame.

Better go, have another viewing in afew hours and DH is breating down my neck.

eandh · 18/08/2007 11:28

thanks lth with the summer we are having probably not much need for the extra shade spent an hour cleaning it up and it looks really good, sorted the front wheel and we had a walk to the park to test drive it.

Good luck with the viewing

Loosh : very very sorry to hear your news. I know exactly how you feel as my FIL died in exactly the same way nearly 3 months ago. He was 70 and had a massive heart attack. Its suh a shock when its all so sudden and it takes a while for it to sink in. I'll be thinking of you on Monday.

Canmummy, what a shock for you too. Keep your feet up and pray LO doesnt learn to walk in the next 6 weeks !

TT factory is in Cramlington, an industrial suburb of newcastle. There is a sign on the factory shop which asks customers to kindly refrain from leaving dirty nappies in the car park !!! Nice eh ?

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 14:00

MrsC - have posted that stuff back to you today 2nd class. Let me know when it arrives.

Kat - ew gross! Who does that?!?!

Our Silver Cross 3D has broken, one of the bolts has sheared off so it won't open. Sending it back, hoping for a full refund cos I'm not that thrilled with it anyway and would rather buy something else. The Hauck one we have bought is fantastic - really light, easy to steer one handed and folds down brilliantly.

DH and I are in the process of buying a Golf Range and 9 hole golf course. I can't say where cos it is a secret ATM but we are very excited about the prospect. It is a major investment so we are just hoping that the bank will loan us what we need. Am trying not to get too excited at this point in time!!! We should know if we can raise the money within a couple of weeks. We need four investors too if any of you have spare cash you want to invest....??

Just trying to catch up, funny how all the littlies are similair ages but all up to such different things!!
Chloe is crawling, pulling up on couch and cruising[just started 2 days ago]. She has also just cut her top 2 front teeth so has 4 in total now although you still cant actually see the top ones just feel they have cut through. She still screams constantly if not held or chasing the other 2. Night time sleeping is only lsightly better than it was which is a nightmare but then none of my children sleep through

Nemo2007 · 18/08/2007 14:07

eandh I love that pushchair what make is it??

wilkie I would want a full refund to and definetly buy something else..although I am a slight pramaholic!!

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 14:08

Am I within my rights to demand a refund (faulty goods) and would I be better off going into Mothercare or calling HO?????

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 18/08/2007 14:18

how long have you had it?

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 14:21

SInce December

OP posts:
Nemo2007 · 18/08/2007 14:29

Would take it into mothercare first[if thats where you bought it] and see what they say or phone the local store and ask their advice.

LadyTophamHatt · 18/08/2007 16:40

EandH, the material seat of ours comes off completely, I've put it in the washing machine before and it came out lovely.

It did shrink a tiny tiny bit but nowhere near enough to stop it fitting. The velcro at the back just didn't reach togetehr completely, other than that it was perfect.

Nemo, its a Quinny.

Loosh, i typed out a big message for you but looking down teh thread I see its not there..not sure what happened to it.
I'm so sorry to read how you lost your Dad, it must have been a truely awful thing.
I'm sure no-one would ever think you've failed him....not in a million years.
I wish I had a few words taht could make it all hurt less. Its such a cliche but the thing about time being a healer is very true.
xxx

eandh · 18/08/2007 16:49

lovely words LTH

Nemo it is a quinny freestyle 3 wheeler there was one on ebay earlier that sold for £10 plus p&p!! DH decided we need a raincover in case it rains when we ar on hols in sept so going to pop a note on wanted board, if not ebay have one for £4.99 plus p&p, LTH do you rate the footmuff or shall I stick with the idea of wrapping a (colour coordinated!) blanket round her?

Wilkie personally I find mothercare staff useless so personally would ring HO but I think they have to be given a chance to repair it, maybe worth starting another thread and someone who knows more about consumer rights might be able to tell you exactly what you are and arent entitled to

LadyTophamHatt · 18/08/2007 18:18

I've only used a buggy snuggle cosy toes on ours, didn't bother with teh quinny one.
I would recomment getting a proper quinny rain cover though, I bought a universal one when we fist got ours and although it kept DS3 dry, it didn't keep the buggy seat dry and left huge water marks when it dried.

eandh · 18/08/2007 18:27

thanks for that info will probably skip the footmuff as I have a universal one which I could use but if Hattie is like Ellie she hated the footmuff, am off to search for quinny raincover

JodieG1 · 18/08/2007 18:56

I've had an eventful time and haven't caught up again yet but so sorry Loosh to hear the news about your dad

We went legoland on Friday, dh took the day off and we stayed overnight in a hotel. Had a great time there and went back today, got home about 2 hours ago. Looks like Ethan is allergic to egg he had a reaction this morning and had hives on his face and swollen lips, he's ok now and there's a thread on weaning asking for advice if anyone else has any.

Wilkie · 18/08/2007 18:59

Oh no Jodie - poor Ethan No advice just big hugs to him

Dragonhart · 18/08/2007 21:27

EAH I had a quinny speedi sx before (my dad now has it for when we visit) and while the foot muff is very good, if you already have one I wouldnt bother. We got it when we bought it and I still use it now on our twin one for Ruth.

I have a new universal rain cover I bought for the twin buggy but it didnt fit (it has two seperate seats so I needed two single ones). Can post it to you if you want to try one for free?

Wilkie- I would definatly try to get a refund but when I had a problem with our old buggy, they refused to give us a refund til they had tried to fix it. Apparently you have to give the manufacturer the chance to sort it out. Hope that you get your money though. Very annoying when it happens as they are so expencive. Also very exciting about the golf range! Will keep my fingers crossed for you both!

Jodie- Poor Ethan. Hope he is ok xxx

Had a good day today. Got some bargins at the Monsoon sale this morning(70% off!) and went to see dsis and her dd this afternoon. They are doing really well now and she seems like a natural. Much more chilled than I remember being when we had Luke.

Dragonhart · 18/08/2007 22:15

Has anyone read this

I have never given mine dummies but halfing the risk of cot death seems so high!

trixymalixy · 18/08/2007 22:48

DH - I'm always a bit sceptical about reports like this especialy when there are MAM logos everywhere.

DS seems to be a bit more settled since I gave up dairy again.

Jodie - I haven't given DS egg due to his reaction to milk. Don't have much advice apart from there is a link on Aitch's BLW blog to a schedule for introducing food for allergic babies

Loosh - I am so sorry about your dad. Exactly the same happened to a friend of mine who is a GP, he also had feelings of guilt, that he should have been able to do more. Not sure how that helps, but I'm sure you did your best, it was just his time to go.

Canmummy - sorry to hear you were in hospital. How is your LO with the dairy allergy?

theUrbanDryad · 19/08/2007 08:59

Loosh - i'm so sorry to hear about your dad, massive hugs from here and my thoughts are with you and your family. xx

we went to a funeral on Friday of one of dh's schoolfriends dh hadn't seen him for a few years, and had only just got back in touch with him, then he heard that he'd died suddenly. i didn't go to the funeral but went to the wake, and just did not know what to say to his mother. dh was in bits.

we're back in Surrey after our monster trip around SW England - got stuck in horrendous traffic on the A303 yesterday ended up being in the car on and off from half 9 in the morning to half 8 in the evening. Z was not a happy bear, even though he loves his new car seat! he's not quite 20lbs yet, but he's too long for his rear-facing infant seat! i wanted to get a rear-facing seat that went up to 40lbs but they're upwards of £150, so i think Z will just have to take that risk!! he seems very secure in his new seat and likes being able to see out i think. he won't be happy when we put him back in the car to take him home
