Thought I would attempt a new thread (sorry 2Happy)...

2Happy · 06/08/2007 19:52

That's a sign of your youth, UD! It's a film people like me, RGee and the other rocking-chair-knitting-crocheting-type people will remember

Wilkie · 06/08/2007 20:08

HEY!!! I am 'down wiv da youf' and I remember the Hand that Rocks the Cradle. Top notch film!!!

OP posts:
eandh · 06/08/2007 20:22

I have heard of it but never seen it

2Happy · 06/08/2007 20:52

Ah, you're honorary crumblies then!

I have been playing with my new camera, and have managed to add a picture of what ds2 does when food is passed in his direction onto my profile. My normally incredibly smiley, happy boy pulls this face every time!

eandh · 06/08/2007 21:12

2happy

wilkie saw your other thread re crocs I SO nearly bought Ellie some pink ones today but I resisted and bough some new white sandals with butterflies on, but there is a shop next door to where I work that do kids ones for £5

Shimmer · 07/08/2007 07:57

Morning all. Shame about the carseat eah. Never mind, my fault for being too slow! Thanks for the offer anyway though! Went into mothercare yesterday and a really nicelady talked me though all the different seats and how they fit and different features and stuff. Not going to buy one from there as they are SOOO expensive, but at least i have a better idea of what i want now. I like the idea of the isofix ones, but does anyone know if you can use them on cars without isofix as well?

Ohhh i remember watching the Hand the Rocks the Cradle years ago. Scary scary film.

Gosh lots of LOs crawling now. I keep thinking Freddie's about to move, but he's quite lazy I think and knows he can get anywhere by rolling and going round in circles. He does go up on his knees and elbows, but then collapses after a while. Does anyone have a playpen, or thinking about getting one? I'm feeling it might be really useful to be able to keep him safely contained every now and again.

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 08:30

2Happy - PMSL at that photo. He looks like the devil child

EAH - Crocs on kids are cute, other than that they are hideous

Shimmer - Playpen. I guess if F is quite content not moving around then it would possibly be worthwhile although my sis bought one for her DTs and they hated it. J hates being put in his cot to play whilst I tidy around upstairs so I wouldn't invest in one personally. I just have the stairgate up and let him crawl around in the rooms I let him go into.

Breakfast - gave J cornflakes this morning to make a change from Weetabix and he loved them. They take a while to mulch down though so I would recomment crushing them before adding warm milk, then leaving them for 5 mins.

Reflux - J still suffering from it. It is so bloody annoying (and gross now it is not just milk). I got him dressed in a lovely outfit this morning and bleaurgh, he spewed all over it and it STINKS. So I have stripped him off and he is currently just in his nappy until we go out!

Put 2nd stage carseat in car last night so will take him out for a spin later in it

MrsCarrot · 07/08/2007 09:02

Ew, Wilkie, how annoying, is he sicking back up yout lovely meals? I get cross with F's dribbling. I'll e-mail you with my address if you definitely don't want those probiotics now?

Baking here today again, house still piled up with washing. Sigh.

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 09:16

MrsC - yes please, I won't use them I don't think so would rather send them back to you. Thank you very much for sending them anyway.

eandh · 07/08/2007 09:20

Its boiling here again today, just going to leave to pick nephew up so I am going to put them in the garden today (thought I'd make their lunch into a picnic outside)

Hattie currently sucking a piece of jam on toast and loving it whilst Ellie is moaning because she wants a satsuma and of all teh fruit there is in the house I dont have a satsuma !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wilkie bf dd has bad reflux and then it suddenly stopped around 10 months so fingers crossed for J (think it was when she started standing more)

Hattie nowhere near crawling loves sitting up, hates rolling, cna get up on her hands and knees but looks very scared and flops back down, I think she'll be like Ellie and walk early

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 09:38

I'm bored today and it's only bloody 9.40am!!!! Operation Cot Sleep not going well, J been in his cot half an hour crying although he is knackered. Must persevere.....!!

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 07/08/2007 09:41

is he tired already? We've only just got up mind you he did have a feed about six and he played while I ignored him, assume he went back to sleep in the end. I forgot to say good luck to dh, he has an internal interview today. Better pay but the hours are 9-5, much less flexibility than he has now, not sure which I'd prefer really.

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 09:43

Good luck MrCarrot!!!

Yes, J has morning sleep around 9.15-9.30am and then another around 1.30pm. He gets up at 7am usually.

OP posts:
eandh · 07/08/2007 10:16

Good luck MrC

Mine get up around 6.30ish so Hattie normally back down for nap around 9-9.30 but lasted till 10 today shes asleep in hr cot and nephew just flaked out on sofa so only got Ellie awake at the mo and shes outside talking to our neighbour over the fence looking rather fetching in her hula girl grass skirt and top

VinoRouge · 07/08/2007 12:19

Ellen was awake at 4.30 this morning so its a sleepy vino sitting at her dsk today. I catch up on MN at the start of my lunch now I'm at work.

Shimmer - I am thinking of getting a playpen too. Ellen went in a friends last week and was quite happy in there. I might get one of those hexagonal ones that can be a playpen, fireguard or room divider.

Mrs C - what are you baking today?

Rgee - glad work was ok and Pippa happy at nursery.

My BF was exhausted after looking after Ellen from 7.30-5 yesterday. She said she salutes me !!!

Hands up who is going to meet up next Weds so we know who to expect.

VinoRouge · 07/08/2007 12:21

Wilkie - voted for J

Oh and I remember watching Hand that rocks the cradle at the cinema!

JodieG1 · 07/08/2007 12:22

Afternoon. Quick post, Ethan is now pulling himself up to standing and has been for a few days now. Looks like he'll walk early like his brother. Crawling everywhere so much harder to watch them all. My parents have taken my older two to their swimming class today, they have a week crash course and then probably normal lessons to keep it up. Looks like Ethan has 3 teeth coming at the bottom which is probablt why he's been so unsettled lately hence no time to post. He's whinging on my lap now so have to go, try and catch up later.

Oh dh and I have been together for 9 years today!

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 12:26

Happy anniversary Jodie!

Vino - 4.30am!!! You poor thing.

I'M SO BORED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eandh · 07/08/2007 12:27

jodie its mine and dh 'first date' anniversary on friday, 11 years ago we went to 'the ten bells' pub and I ordered a coke because I was 16 and didnt want to be asked for ID

eandh · 07/08/2007 12:40

wilkie - come to my house 3 under 3 wrecking the joint

laughalot · 07/08/2007 12:45

It must be one of those days I feel like I could kill someone.

I am thinking of ebaying Aidan in a minute

eandh · 07/08/2007 12:49

No one would bid on Ellie I 'd have to pay someone to take her she is still in teh nude and everytime I dress her the sneaky thing takes it off, I have even put a dress on that zips up at the back and shes managed to remove that - she could be an escape artist.

Nephew cheered up now he has eaten the contents of my fridge - he keeps eyeing up Hatties puree lunch

2Happy · 07/08/2007 14:21

Good luck MrC!
Wilkie - yup, Damien incarnate!

dh had the kids for me working this am. He kept looking at me like I'd forgotten something. I kept wittering on and on bout wht to do with the boys (it's the first time he's had both of them on his own except at night when they're in bed!) and he kept looking like I'd forgotten something until I finally exploded "what??? what is it???!"....

"Happy Anniversary" he said

oooooooooops

Oh well, I brought him home some chocs to make up!

Wilkie · 07/08/2007 15:26

2Happy - I read that last sentence as 'I bought him home chocs and make up'. PMSL. Happy anniversary!!

LOL at ebaying children - maybe it's a business venture we should consider?!?!?!

How embarrassing - I was meant to drop J at the CMs at 2pm. At 1pm he was tired so I put him to bed for a sleep and laid on my bed to listen until he had nodded off (nursery is next to my room). Next thing I know I wake up with a start and it is 2.05pm!!! Arghhhh!! My pet hate is lateness, cannot abide it, so rang CM and grovelled to her (she was lovely and fine about it), woke J up and then rushed round there. Ball ache is that instead of my 2 hours of freedom I only get 1 and a half....in fact I should be making a move now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its toooooooo hoootttttttttt.
when will it be cold again? I can't take it.
My baby is all sweaty.
We have the carpet men coming tomorrow. I have to clear the living room today (oops) so we can strip up the laminiate, underlay, carpet & more underlay for tomorrow morning. Yes, there are 4 layers of flooring to come up and I am sat here on the computer thinking about it and not doing it.
Is anyone else into HEROS on BBC2? We downloaded the entire 1st seris and are on episode 7 at the moment...another reason why the living room wasnt cleared last night.
Its too hot to do anything.
Our new sofa arrives on Thursday too! Woo hoo! Hope it fits through the door.
