Congrats to your DP Holly. Got over your hangover then?

foxybrown · 31/07/2007 19:06

was just wondering about you! good news - and your DP gets to keep his nads!

has your hangover gone???

bumperlicious · 31/07/2007 19:11

I'll come and stay with you sputnik! I love Rome! Though only got about half a day when we were there on our honeymoon. We went for 2 nights but DH got a stomach bug so I spent most of the time on my own eating gelato (the best in the world!)

loonylovegood · 31/07/2007 19:12

I'm still feeling a bit shitty tbh! Maybe I'll leave the booze well alone for a bit!

He found out he had the job this afternoon, so has gone out to play golf to celebrate and is still not back...grrrr! It is a 3 grand pay cut, but at least it's a job and it buys him some time to find something else. Only problem is it doesn't start til monday, so we have no car til then! I'm trying to find some car dealerships that do 3 day test drives! Is it vauxhall that do them?

I'd be happy to take you on a local gelato tour Bumper

bumperlicious · 31/07/2007 19:39

I'm off for a long awaited bath, with lots of bubbles and some trashy mags - bliss!

foxybrown · 31/07/2007 19:46

trendaverter · 31/07/2007 19:59

Tell you what though I don't think I'll be horseriding again for a while though, I'd need a clydesdale

trendaverter · 31/07/2007 20:04

AND I just found out I named my son after a giant blue hairy monster from a Disney movie

My world ROCKS

loonylovegood · 31/07/2007 20:06

You could have another baby TA and call him mike!

If my dp doesn't come home soon I'm going to track him down and kill him, slowly and painfully!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 31/07/2007 20:07

The big blue monster is VERY cool TA! I can lend you monsters inc if you want (I am a disney film obsessive)!

My Dp has taken Lucy out in her pram with the dog - I just drove past them and he looked a very proud Dad!!

trendaverter · 31/07/2007 21:07

I've seen it Holly, I love it, I just forgot that was it's name

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 31/07/2007 21:15

We've just had our first modeling gig!
Have just spent the afternoon wearing one of these
They are totally fab - really comfy - and I got one for free! I am so chuffed!

Hope everyone is well this evening?

bumperlicious · 31/07/2007 21:29

Your modelling DKMA? How did you get into that?!

bumperlicious · 31/07/2007 21:50

Sorry that should be you're I'm not normally a pedant but I have a Master's Degree obtained at great expense! Having a baby is no excuse for such obvious grammatical errors!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 31/07/2007 21:51

Hi Bumper

Well - a friend of a friend met someone in a pub who knew someone who needed mums and babies to do a photo shoot for the slings!

So I rang her yesterday and then went to Liverpool today!

We had to pretend to hang washing out and have a picnic! It was very funny! But Ed got £50, I got £50 and we got a free sling plus we get some photo's - I think it's great! It was a lot of fun!

bumperlicious · 31/07/2007 21:55

Fab! Would love to do it, especially as DD is so beeeyyyutiful (PFB alert!) but assume you mostly have to be in London to do it. Not a bad earner every now and again is it? Bet it's boring if you do it all the time.

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 31/07/2007 22:21

Yeh - it was good because I went with 2 friends and their babies - so we had a laugh.

I LOVE the carriers though - they are wonderful - I'm going to be wearing mine all the time!

Is your water back on? Is everything back to normal now?

bumperlicious · 01/08/2007 08:50

DKMA, water back on, though not back to normal yet. Can't use it for drinking, cooking, washing up, cleaning teeth, washing baby etc. But I had a bath last night!

Errm, does anyone worry that we scare people off? I noticed that there are a few people who have never come back and some of them are still posting on other threads. I am hoping it's because they have a life unlike most of the rest of us rather than the fact that we are too overbearing or something... Maybe they are lurking? Heeellllllllloooooooooo anybody out there? Come back to us!

loonylovegood · 01/08/2007 09:09

I'm lurking, do I count??!! Sorry, you guys are too scary to talk to, I think I'll carry on lurking!

OP posts:
Charlie999 · 01/08/2007 09:42

Hiya - I'm lurking too. In a foul mood so I'll wait till I feel better to post

Perhaps it was all my moaning yesterday that has scared them away

Lots of people we haven't heard from in ages, but I haven't seen them elsewhere either....

I'll be back when I'm a nicer person

andiem · 01/08/2007 09:49

Morning all am looking after my friends daughter as well as my two for the next 3 days so have a taste of 3 children. Bit of a shock as she dropped her off at o7.30 and I'd only just got up.

Am taking them out for lunch today and need to do a bit of shopping so hope they all behave. The girl is a bit of a handful (she is same age as my ds) and answers back makes lots of mess and is generally a bit of a nightmare aaagh. She is not very baby friendly either which for 7 is a bit of a nightmare I can't leave her on her own with the baby as she trod on him last time she came (he was on playmat not just left on floor )

Ho hum off to gird my loins and sort them out will catch up later

trendaverter · 01/08/2007 10:07

I am lurking too... I just don't have anything interesting to say
