Mrsjaffabiffa · 26/07/2007 12:08

I have my check today, damnnnn internals and I have to have a smear, fgs I hate them.

Nearly two yr old still for grabs!!! Anyone?

Pebblemum · 26/07/2007 16:33

Afternoon all

Hope the check went ok MrsJB

I had a hectic morning today, got a phone call last night to say that my parents were popping round in the morning with my Aunty from Lincoln and cousin from St Neots. Didnt mind them coming round in fact i was looking forward to seeing them and introducing Alana but the house was a mess. For some reason the boys had decided to wreck their bedroom (making dens and cars etc) and id chosen yesterday to have a major clearout therefore no housework had been done and I had piles of things everywhere (one for ebaying, one for the dump, one for charity etc)So there was me first thing this morning trying to blitz the house. Normally the ds's stay in bed until about 9 but today they decided to get up at the same time as me (7.30am)so I had them squabbling and calling me every two minutes. I did it in the end and it was great seeing everyone but I am knackered now. Next time i have a clear out i will check with everyone beforehand I think {grin]

Alana had her last feed last night at 8pm and didnt wake up again until 7.30am I had thought of feeding her when i went to bed at 12am but thought i would wait for her to wake, didnt think for one moment that she would sleep right through.

Dh is taking ds1 and his friend to watch Transformers tomorrow. He says its a treat for them but i know his real motive is that he wants to watch it but wont go on his own. Since he found out they had made a film of it he has been going on and on about it Hes just a big kid at heart. He thinks its Christmas, transformers are back and so is Fraggle Rock (although he hasnt seen it yet as its on when hes at work lol)

MKG · 26/07/2007 18:05

Howdy! Cruz finally slept in his cradle last night. Woo Hoo!!

He went from 10-3 and 3:15-7. He's a good boy.

MKG · 27/07/2007 13:16

Hello, is there anybody out there . I got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night!! but I must be talking to myself.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/07/2007 14:27

Hey MKG, thats great, Jorja is doing about the same too, it's lovely. She did, 8pm til 4.45pm the night before last and the one before that and last night she did 12am till 9.30am. Gee, I'm sooo glad it looks as though she is going to be a late morning sleeper like my other two. I am NOT an early riser and don't think I could cope with a Jack aprilmeadow.

Pebble A did a fab night well done little pebble.

Well, I had my check and smear yesterday. It was VERY painful, turns out I have a prolapsed cervix????????? This is why it was painful apparently. I don't think it's anything serious, I have to see my gyny in a year for another check and in the meantime I have to have my pelvic floor physio with a midwife rather than just a physio. I think with time and working it it should improve.

Hope everyone is still ok. No news from scoot????

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/07/2007 21:32

Where is everyone when I want to proudly announce that Jorja is giggling. Oh it's so cute, I want to eat her......

juliewoolie · 27/07/2007 21:45

Ah Mrs JB that is so cute. Think everyone has gone off on their holidays or are still reading Harry Potter.

Pebblemum · 27/07/2007 21:53

Im here!!!

I cant believe how quiet it is on here, where is everyone?

Babies are so cute arent they? I love hearng babies giggling, Alana only does it now and again but she is always smiling.

I have a horrible feeling she is teething, she keeps ramming her fist in her mouth and has started to dribble a bit as well as getting grizzly now and again. After holding her up against my shoulder for a few minutes I look like someones tipped water over me. She also likes to suck or lick my skin, a very strange little girl lol.

My LO is going to be the best dressed girl when we go on holiday in Oct. Ive been buying a few clothes here and there off of ebay and in the sales. We are only going for 2wks but she now has 20 t-shirts, 5 skirts, 2 trousers, 3 shorts and a few dresses, oops who thinks that maybe im addicted to buying little girls clothes? (guess i am entitled to be a bit over enthusiastic I did wait 10yrs for her)
The boys have got plenty of new clothes too, i havent left them out but i find boys clothes pretty boring, they are all the same

Lupins71 · 27/07/2007 23:10

Pebble well done on Alana sleeping through, funnily enough i was thinking that about the teething,

ahhhh just get on hear and he wakes up!! bye all xx

juliewoolie · 28/07/2007 07:27

oh my god could that be teething early, A dribbles all the time and will lick or suck on anything including my DP's nose!

twelveyeargap · 28/07/2007 08:58

I let A "latch on" to my nose for a laugh too. It's SOO funny.

She licks my skin too. I wondered if they like the salty taste - especially as the weather is warm? I think the sucking hands thing might just be that they've "found" their hands. I do remember DD1 used to get very pink cheeks when she was teething, to accompany the drooling.

Great news about all these sleeping babies.

Lupins71 · 28/07/2007 09:57

Hope ev1 is well its been very quiet on here,

Pebble girls clothes are extremely addictive, They are sooooo cute and pretty tho - especially at baby age, must say i wasnt that enthusiastic at buying biys clothes but now we have found what we like, cute jeans with shirts & tank tops or nice dungerees sets, those are great for the chunky cloth nappies as well - which is something else that im finding no addictive - but collectable

Areln went 7-12-3-8 so couple of good stints, gave him carrots and spuds at 12 with a good glug of milk - we tried cauliflower cheese in a jar yesterday - you should have seen his face - you would have thought i was trying to poison him, decided that he prefers mummys home made food rather than the jars as he scoffs all of what i make him dread to think what he weighs now, we cleared out the last of his newborn clothes from his wardrobe yesterday, looking at his tiny baby stuff seems so long ago

Looks like a nice day out there today - going to attack my washing pile in the hope of getting it dry adn not having to clutter up my radiators, going to take dc's to the park (again) and maybe sort out my bedroom, Arlens arms are sticking out of his crib at night as he seems to sleep stretched out wide rather than tall so need to make room for the huge cotbed, also my mum is coming to stay for a week fromt he 6th so need to find space for all the clutter in the spare room

Whats ev1 else up to today??

Lupins71 · 28/07/2007 09:59

TYG was in stitches at the thought of this poor baby hanging off of your nose in search of food

Mrsjaffabiffa · 28/07/2007 10:29

yey, yey, wooooooooooo hoooooooooooo, Jorja did 9pm to 9.30am. Oh yes thats my girl sleeping like her Mummy, brother and sister, go girl!!!!!!!!!

Pebblemum · 28/07/2007 10:57

Well done Jorja

Alana went from 7pm til 5.50am so that wasnt too bad and then she fell back to sleep by 6.30-10am so we all got a lie in.

I have now decided that i really must start buying 6-9months or even 6-12months as Alana has so many 3-6 clothes that I dont think she will get to wear many more than once or twice

We are going away for the weekend on the 10th, i cant wait. We are going toCamber Sands which is a 2hr drive from us but its a break I just hope the weather is great. The only thing im sad about is that i will miss my Dad's birthday, it will be the first time ever that I havent seen him on it. Im sure he will understand though but i will still feel bad about it and so will probably buy him an extra special present to ease my guilt lol

I had been planning on hanging washing on the line but it has suddenly gone very cloudy and dull looking and I just know that as soon as it is out and im busy doing other things that it will chuck it down. On the other hand if i dont hang it out you can bet that it will stay dry all day and I will be kicking myself lol. You cant win in this weather can you?

cinnamontam · 28/07/2007 11:21

WOW!! Can't believe how good all your babes are doing with the sleep

I thought Tilda was doing well when she did a 6 hour stint but these kids are sleeping for England...or France or wherever you are

I've been trying SCoot on her mobile for 2 days now and it's always turned off. I'm worried. I really hope everyone is ok

aprilmeadow · 28/07/2007 13:26

Afternoon all

Just got back from my friends wedding. It was a beautiful day and the weather was really kind to us, it only started raining once all photos had been taken and we were heading in for the meal. My mum came with us and looked after Ella for the day as they had a no children policy. Worked really well, mum wondered round the grounds of the house and had our room key. I went up at key times to feed her and then passed her to mum so that she didnt spew all over my bridesmaids dress. She went down at 8.45 and woke at 7am. Mum stayed until she was asleep and then we plugged the monitors in and went to party My boss made a complete tit of herself and earned herself the nickname of 'dog on heat' by some of thegrooms friends! She was wasted andwas a total bi*ch to me - didnt even say hello and then threw me the odd dirty look. Dunno what her problem was. Add that to the fact that they (bosses are a couple) were late, so much so that they turned up just as DESSERT was coming out!!!

Trying to get our stuff packed for our trip to CenterParcs on Monday. Have a massive check list and even though i am packing things it doesnt seem to be going down Have heard some dodgy reports on the parc, so fingers crossed that it is ok otherwise i think i will be making a trip down to see MadameJB en famille

Ella was weighed on Thursday and is now 12lbs 2oz. She is so close to rolling over, i keep expecting to find her on her front. Her legs are going all over the place

Well done to all the good babies on here for the nice long night time sleeps.

I wonder how all the G&T's are getting on on their camping trip??

Well i guess i should get going again coz these bits aren't going to pack themselves

aprilmeadow · 29/07/2007 07:44

hello.......... anyone there.......?? Where has everyone gone??

MKG · 29/07/2007 13:25

Everyone must be on vacation. I wish I were on vacation.

elkiedee · 29/07/2007 17:52

Me too, it's also dead quiet on the April 2007 thread. Everyone else must just have got a life!

cameroonmama · 29/07/2007 20:05

Just popping in to say bonne vacances AM, I hope you enjoy it.

I am at all the sleeping babies, J does 7-1-4-5.30-8 aaaaahhhh help. Is it because he is possibly the world's largest 11 week old? He was weighed on Thursday and is now 7kgs, over 15lbs He too is gurgling and drooling away and has 'found' his hand and will spend hours just looking at it, too cute. TYG lol at the thought of you with a baby hanging off your nose .

Can't stop as I am at my dad's while dh is on a spy mission. Took longer to get here than for us to get to France

Hope the G&Ts had fun camping...

Scoot, we hope everything is ok, come back soon we miss you

InTheseShoes · 29/07/2007 20:25

Hello everyone

I think we are mad, we are going camping tomorrow, just for two nights, but having a slight stress about taking an eight week old under canvas. Oh well, he's very portable!

Some questions:

  1. Has anyone else who is completely breastfeeding having a period or anything resembling it? There's something going on here, and not sure exactly what it is...
  2. Also, is it normal to have become completely blase about breastfeeding, i.e, it doesn't hurt even vaguely anymore, takes only a short time etc? T is perfectly satisfied, only up once a night (in 12 hour sleep), bright yellow poo etc, lots of wees, just can't help feeling that maybe he isn't feeding properly? Daft I know...
  3. I don't seem to be conscious of any feeling of "let down" nor do my boobs squirt or leak between feeds, plus they only feel really full or lumpy in the morning after 12 hours not feeding (or five hours if it's the one I fed in in the night). Does anyone else feel the same?

I think all my concerns are linked really.

Apart from that, T is fabulous, we had his Baptism last Sunday which was lovely, just gorgeous, lots of friends and family and wine and food, very special! We have survived the first week of the school holidays, just need T to have a couple of naps in his cot if we are in in the day, as poor old A doesn't get much time with me by himself. We'll get there!

It's been very quiet on here looking back, I really must post more, is it because we are all on our holidays?

aprilmeadow · 29/07/2007 21:13

Hellllooooooooo

ITS, i am still exclusively bf and havent had a period yet although i am sure that i have had ov pains. I dont get any pain when feeding and almost dont feel E feeding. She has times where she can feed really quickly and others where she feeds for slightly longer. I figure that if she comes off herself then she has had enough. Only leak every now and again but mainly in the morning if E has gone through.

The car is almost totally packed. Top box is full and boot is almost ready. Just the bike rack to attach and then we are all set.
