Oh and this is my new phone. It's really snazzy and will probably take me 9 years how to figure out how to work! I have only just managed to grasp how to use Bluetooth, despite me having a phone for over a year that has had it!

Pebblemum · 17/08/2007 01:02

LW thats similar to the phone i was going to get a few months ago except mine was going to be either gold or bronze, ended up getting a Sony Ericsson Z610i instead. My contract runs out in December so im already on the lookout for my next phone

By the way congrats on the link, i remember how pleased i was when i did my first one lol.

I really must go to bed now, am falling asleep at the pc. Ive been playing lots of Big Fish Games while watching Elvis films (how sad am I???) think my brain is just about ready to shut down.

seak to you all tomorrow

Lupins71 · 17/08/2007 07:51

AM mmmmmm love micromix - its my fav haribo's especially the little picos - you used to be able to get just a bag of them but havent seen them for ages, we didint make it to KK or the beach, dd was being a madam and had too much to do while in town, all achieved tho - scool uniform is now finished yipeeeee

Pebble how absolutly awful for you - think i would have melted into a heap on the floor - i know really its nothing to be emarassed about but i would still die!!

LW&W i think alot of teens go through the non eating thing, i know my cousin did - then at twenty she went the other way and said "men fancy fat birds" and fut on 6 stone i would go to docs tho if it gets serious teenagers are very influenced by what the celebs look like unfortunatly - love the mobile, Arlen has a bigish one too but luckily it now fits over his cotbed as it kept getting caught on the sides of his crib - keeps him laughing for ages, got my new phone the other day - havent got a clue what it is but its small white and a ericson walkman phone - again no idea how half of it works

Anyone know anything about webcams??? mum got us both one so she can see kids and willow can see her - but we cant seem to see each other tried flippin everything i can see to do, both are seeing ourselves but when we ask them to see other person bu*r all, any advice pls ladies

Does anyone hold out much hope on there being any decent summer left, Willow still has outfits with the tags on in her cupboard, would like her to wear them at least once

Have been doing crazy ebay listing the last few days have 105 listings and still have about another 100 to do having a massive clearout - as well as trying to raise the rent for this month my brain has felt like mush at the end of each night!!

Have a good day all,

Lupins71 · 17/08/2007 07:52

Pebble just seen what time your last post was - get some sleep woman

scootermum · 17/08/2007 08:57

Morning all,
You cna talk to me however you like SOH, but you must never look at me whilst youa re doing it..I dont care to be viewed by the plebians..

I have Lily in a back pack thing regularly so Mae in her Baby Bjorn is a piece of piss..I too am built to carry weight...

la la la not listening to some people saying they have weight to lose when they are a size 10..

I do feel for you Pebble..The same happened to my mate once but they had already washed her hair and they made her leave the salon with it soaking wet and she had to walk through town to get the bus home like that..plus she later saw one of the slaon trainees out one night and she had had a few and had a proper go at my friend as she had had to apply nit cream and it had ruiner her reccently died hair apparently..So then everyone found out...awful...

Well we had our pre V party last night so I feel a bit the worse for wear..I say party, 6 people, a pizza and some wine is what passes for a party here nowadays..

All our mates are off today to set up camp, but we arent going till tomorrow morning as didnt want to leave the kids for three nights, two is enough..Already I fear for the sanity of my Mother on our return...

scootermum · 17/08/2007 08:59

Sorry Pebble-I mean it wasnt that awful..but we were at school still at the time and kids can be cruel!

Pebblemum · 17/08/2007 11:17

Scoot thats ok. The hairdresser did say that she has had a lot of people coming in lately with them, she herself had them a few weeks ago, still embarassing though. Im now going to be coming my hair through at least 3 times a day until my next appointment i think just to make sure they have all gone lol

I think i left my brain in bed this morning, clicked on my Mumsnet link in my favourite list which is what i always do but used the wrong one and found myself reading messages from our ante-natal thread back in November. Thought i had somehow missed something, didnt recognise anything that was being discussed and the few posts i did read didnt mention being pregnant. Took me a while to realise my mistake

cameroonmama · 17/08/2007 13:15

oh Pebble how but as well, poor you, I don't know what I would have done, but I often wonder if I might have them too especially just before I go to the hairdressers. I have a very good friend who often checks me

Scoot I can't believe you are leaving the girls for 2 nights - quelle horreur! Secretly I am . Hope you have got your wellies ready.

I am in stress city today, I went to Halfords to get the obligatory warning triangle and headlight thingies before driving to France only to find out I need a reflective jacket and a spare set of bulbs for all the bleedin lights in the car....and do they have a 'kit' with them all in? Of course they bloddy well don't, but the unipart shop just in the other trading estate on the other side of town has them, so says the young girl, you can just pop down there and get them. I can't 'pop' anywhere with 3 kids in tow I say to her, she then looks a bit sheepish and I feel bad. So i 'pop' to the other side of town stopping to feed J in a recycling car park along the way and guess what? They don't have the kits either but are very helpful and offer to get one from Exeter by later this afternoon. Great, I drive home, then they call and say Exter don't have any so I have to buy them all individually aaaaaagggghhh. I could have done that in the first place. My MIL kindly stepped in and will pick them up for me because now I am stuck at home as the insurance co is laying our new carpet in the hall.

And I haven't packed yet. Rant over, sorry about that.

juliewoolie · 17/08/2007 14:59

Must be stressfull Friday. There was me thinking I had daytime naps down when all hell breaks loose today.Spent the morning feeding or walking the streets listening to my cherub bellow. Typically he as I write this is now lying on my lap smiling and cooing at me. Gah!

Pebble poor you.

Cam lucky you escaping the dodgy weather for sunshine.

Scoot am so

LWandLottie · 17/08/2007 15:39

I'm back! Tattoo and all! It really doesn't hurt that much, it's just like an annoyance, I didn't feel it most of the time. Think I was so prepared for it to KILL me that it turned out less painfull. Love it, still have clingfilm over it but will post a picture of it on my profile later.

C's bawling, gotta run.

LWandLottie · 17/08/2007 17:00

Have put a picture of my tattoo on my profile, the qualities not great though!

scootermum · 17/08/2007 21:34

I thought it felt jsut a bit like a cat scratch when I had mine..funny how when Men get them they say it hurts like hell!Wusses..

Thats nothing Cam..its no wonder L is so erratic..last year we left her for four days when we went to the World Cup and for the full 3 days for V...Terrible really, but the way I figure it is if I didnt get out a bit, I would be a misery, and a miserable Mummy is not a good Mummy..(or else im just a terrible Mother..whichever

M is wide awake..have fed, changed, everything else..trouble is to be fair she never really does this, so I dont really know what to do!Its a nice problem to have I guess..

Well Wellies ready, Cath Kidston mac, ready, Cordless hair straighteners, (yup, even in the middle of a field I am prepared to do battle with my barnet), Ready!
We are off early doors AM, so I shall speak to you all on Monday, (always assuming I dont kop off with Brandon Flowers from The Killers before then..he's married but its ok as he is a mormon...whats that you say, DH?Two gorgeous girls at home?I think Flowers is quite liberal-he might take us all on?)

Have a lovely weekend all..xx

scootermum · 17/08/2007 21:35

LG&T, I know its your 30th this weekend at some point, so have a fabulous time and remember you are only 30 once (well actually if you are like me then you can celebrate your 30th every year for at least the next 6 years )

LW - you have been incredibly brave

SOH, I hope the party goes with a swing, floppy sunhats abounding and bouncing babies giggling.

Enjoy your week everyone else and I'll catch up on my return.

cameroonmama · 17/08/2007 22:23

Anyone else want anything?

I'm not sure when exactly its LG&Ts birthday, she is being unnaturally coy about it But she did mention it last week and I think she has family visiting this weekend...so I put 2 and 2 together

aprilmeadow · 18/08/2007 08:42

Scoot hope the weather is kind for you. Some of our mates are going there this weekend as well.

I think its G&T's birthday on Sunday.

MrsJB, the courier is sending the car on Monday so you will have it on Wednesday as it takes a few days. Hope thats ok. M's pressie fromus is in side

NEWS FLASH
Ella rolled over this morning She went to bed at 7pm and woke at 6am. Fed her and put her back down. At 6.50 she started mewing so i popped in to settle her and she was on her front. Wonder if it was a fluke or whether this is her new trick.

I also think she is teething as she has her hands in her mouth all the time and is dribbling for England.

SKYTVADDICT · 18/08/2007 08:47

Morning AM.

Hope the weather is kind to Scoot.

My DDs are going to Lake District for a week with their Dad and Step Mum so have lots of packing to do this morning as they are being picked up at 12 so shouldn't really be on here!

Fancy Ella rolling over - think she is the first on the thread.

C fed at 9.30, went to bed in his bed awake for the first time ever (I had to put his dummy back in once) and didn't wake up until 7am. He is soooo good we can't believe it. Will it last? Dp wasn't keen on putting him up there but the last few nights I think he struggled to drop off downstairs as there is so much going on. Will try again tonight.

aprilmeadow · 18/08/2007 09:04

Morning Sky,

I think that Mathilda the tank was the first at about 1 week old It has taken Ella about a week of flinging her legs all over the place to finally get all the way over. Now its the fun of her screaming when she gets stuck on her front.

Well done on the sleeping, fingers crossed that he can repeat it tonight for you.

Cam, forgot to wish you happy holidays

Pebblemum · 18/08/2007 10:18

Morning all

Am off in a minute to buy Alana a Bumbo Seat, she wants to be sat up all the time and her bouncy chair lies her back a bit too much.

Well done Ella on rolling over

aprilmeadow · 18/08/2007 11:24

I had thought of getting Ella a bumbo, have been watching a couple on ebay. Cant beleive how much they are

SKYTVADDICT · 18/08/2007 12:34

I got my Bumbo from a nearly new sale for £8.00 - the boxed ones were a bit more - £12ish I think.

C loves it for a while as he likes to be able to see.

largeginandtonic · 18/08/2007 14:56

Tis monday > I am NOT 30, humph.

Mind you i did go ova to Gun Wharf and the Monsoon outlet store yesterday and managed to get a lovely outfit for SIL'S wedding in Sept. Will post pic later, probabaly not me in it though.... >

Ella you clever little girl! Fast catching up with Mathilda the tank.....

Lupins i need a spare Loola hood to fit on my new buggy, any ideas???

Pebble how annoying about the hair, we want pics please next week!

LW your tattoo is lovely, just wait for the itching to start.....

Cam how far are you from Exeter? Im in Plymouth in a couple of weeks, we could meet up there!

Missed super nanny, gutted. Will look out for repeats!

Pebblemum · 18/08/2007 16:14

Thats ok LG&T im not 30 next year either, i'll be 21 again

Got the bumbo, a nice pink one, cost £27.95 from Argos . Had been looking at them on ebay but seeing as it didnt always work out much cheaper buying second hand I decided to get a new one. Dh thinks i mad but Alana loves it so as far as im concerned it was money well spent. Also bought her a new baby gym and she has spent the afternoon either in her new seat or lying on the floor playing with the gym

aprilmeadow · 18/08/2007 18:54

Great news on the skirt size G&T I have bought a lovely dress from Debenhams for Ella's Christening next Sunday and it was also a 10, a bit tight on the boobs, but then hardly surprising given the stupid size they are. Thankfully they have gone down one size but are still ridiculous!

Pebble, i think buying new is the best option as they seem to be selling for about 25 quid inc p&p

Child for sale...... any takers???? 2yr 4mth old boy. Likes to push his parents to the limit......no takers, oh well
