Meant to say that i have just put all of the clothes that Ella has outgrown on ebay - taken blinkin ages!

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 12/08/2007 10:14

Meant to say yesterday, my Mum has taken a grand leap into the C21st and put some dungarees on ebay. She makes them herself and they are really lovely. Please have a look/recommend them to a friend. She spent a whole day trying to figure out ebay and nobody's even watching them!

look here

SKYTVADDICT · 12/08/2007 10:50

Morning all

Went on a hen night last night, pink wig - pink feather bower - all dressed in black. Made a big effort. Was out for all of half an hour before I got the first phone call that C was screaming! As it had been so hot I had fed him 2 hourly all day and I think he had tummy ache bless him! I had to come home after the second call but got to go out again at 9 - had a good night but came home at 1.30 to find DP just having got him off to sleep! He had been awake since 12.20. DP had to get up at 5.30 to go and drive a Lambourghini (sp?) (racing experience present he got for his 40th) so was a little frazzled to say the least. C the little darling then proceeded to wake at 5am for a feed then again at 6.30 so I am knackered today. I really don't think its worth going out but at least I don't have a hanger thanks to b/f!

SKYTVADDICT · 12/08/2007 10:51

Forgot to say hi SOH and I will look at the dungarees.

LWandLottie · 12/08/2007 14:55

Hello

Hope all are well this afternoon. We put Lottie's cotbed up last night! She looks so tiny in it. Had to rearange my entire room which took ages, and I've had to go down to a single bed because there was no room for my double but it looks really nice.

Have C in her scottish outfit today, little black, white and red kilt and matching top! Bonny scottish lassy

Am I sympathise with the ebay thing, it took me so long to get C's 0-3 month stuff on. I don't think anyones going for it though as it's a collection only bid, didn't fancy having to post a box that big and heavy! Might have to though

Tis very quiet today......

LWandLottie · 12/08/2007 15:25

Have added some pictures of L in her kilt and in her new bed! Completely obbsessed with taking her photo. She's 12 weeks and I think I have about 600 pictures of her developed! Possibly the most photographed baby in the world?

Oh forgot to say, I'm booked in to get a tatoo on friday. Having CHARLOTTE written down the middle of my spine at the bottom, with a flower thing coming of the E. Looks really nice! My thoughts on it were, well I've survived childbirth and a tongue, 2 navel and 8 ear piercings, I can survive a tatoo. Somehow think it'll be a different story come friday My mums thoughts on this were, 'Oh you are so screwed if you end up having eight children!'

aprilmeadow · 12/08/2007 16:36

Not really my cup of tea LW. I wouldnt ever have one done for 2 reasons. 1 it would hurt and 2 would be thinking what i would look like when i was a wrinkly old granny . Goodness knows what my mum would say, it took me years to convince her to let me have my ears pearced as she told me that only Gypsies(sp)had them done LOL. Each to their own though, would be a very dull place if we all liked the same things.

scootermum · 12/08/2007 16:58

We are all Sheffield Wednesday in this house April..my Dad sarted taking me when I was 6 so it was a good job DH turned out to be a Wednesday boy too...Ididnt even know there was a car seat option!

Cricket?Hell no!Thats the easiest way of dying of boredom..DH has had it on all day today and its driving me mad..

I cant come either SOH..Sorry..am at V festival next weekend...we should try to metup in Cambridge though at some point?

I have a tatt on my back-a little Lizard-which turned into more of a wacking great alligator when I was pg, but is thankfully returned to geco size now...I didnt found it hurt that much at all...Would love to get another but DH hates them and would hit the roof..plus it is oddly addictive..dont want to end up with every inch of skin covered on the front of Top Tattoo magazine or somesuch

I have got sick of cooking the same old for Lily so am cuurently making a chicken thng I unearthed out of a baby and toddler book that my Mum had, so its all very retro 70's stylee...have substituted some ingredients however as it called for lots of soy sauce which I think might be full of salt?(were they so worried about that stuff in the olden days?)
If it works will consider self some sort of domestic genius in style of Nigella Lawson or our very own largegandt..
pmsl at ma Larkin comparison...

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 12/08/2007 17:02

My Mum had a tattoo done when she was 50. She had always wanted one and my Dad was none too keen (despite having one himself) so she thought sod it, I'm not getting any younger and went and had it done. I was very shocked. She's a very practical, nay serious woman my ol' ma. My bro is covered in tattoos, all over his back, arms and chest. He is pierced in places I can't even imagine and is a power-lifter, rides an enormous motorbike and has crazy facial hair. Oddly, he also knits, crochets and is the most doting uncle imaginable. He's a confusing man. DH wants a tattoo on his arm of an angel fish- my nickname is Fishy (can't believe I'm admitting that) and he wants something to cement the relationship but is not the name tattoo sort. I'm worried that should he ever get it done I'd have to return the gesture and have something etched about my person. I wonder if he'd settle for me crayoning a picture of a dragon on my shin...

LWatkins, that's a lot of photos on your profile! She's adorable though your wee lady. How's things at home now, is your Mum okay? Any word from the twonky ex?

Sky, afraid we need photographic evidence of the pink wig and boa m'love.

Added some pics of my tank smiling away if anybody wants a nose...

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 12/08/2007 17:07

You'll be none too surprised to hear that my childhood sweetheart Mr Glover supported the Owls. He was always prattling on about them. Good job he was pretty, or so I thought back then when my tastes were well...er... ok, he was the only one who offered to be my boyfriend.

Dammit, the V Festival Scoot. I'm so disappointed. I went to V in '97 I think. Saw Reef I seem to remember. Cambridge sounds like a good plan. We can punt the day away. Pick a weekend lovely and I'm there!

scootermum · 12/08/2007 17:14

Oh have just been looking at everyones pics..for some reason I cant get any to load on..will have another bash in a min... all the babies are so gorgeous...

It will soon be the threads first anniversary I guess..did we start in September last year?

scootermum · 12/08/2007 17:16

He did!I used to discuss them with him at the bus stop whilst we were waiting in the morning!

cinnamontam · 12/08/2007 18:14

Hey all. Sitting here with a ton of henna on my head as I'm a bit over being blondish and can't afford the hairdresser no more on 1 salary. Oh poor me

SOH - what is the time and date of your BBQ. I managed to miss that entirely???

Mrsjaffabiffa · 12/08/2007 18:18

Bonjour toutes, geeeee hectic here at the moment. There are 13 in house, it's one constant, food prep, eat, clear, clean, tidy and then start on the next meal. Lovely having family here though.

Congratulations on your engagement sky, how lovely.

Some really lovely pictures out there. They are allllllll just so gorg!!

SOH, sorry bit far to travel for your party, very gutted though sounds like it will be a lovely weekend. Mum's dungers are sweet, I love some of the prints on the materials, I'm not over keen on dungers on older children to be honest but very cute on babies. I love a dress though for Maddie in the red and white flower material.
M is so sweet, FWIW, I don't think she looks like a tank, Jorja looks about the same size.

LW, Sorry have to agree with AM, named tatoo not my thing either. ohhhhhhhhhh and the pain, havn't you been through enough in the last 12 weeks. Mind you, with the sonds of your peicings you like a bit of tourture. C is very cute, lovely pictures of her in her kilt, very bonny.

LWandLottie · 12/08/2007 18:52

Ah the great tattoo debate! Agree it isn't everyone's cup of tea, and this is the only sort of thing I'd get done. There are very few places that I think they look ok, and it'll mean something to me which is the main reason for getting it done. As for being an old granny with a tattoo, doubt at 80 year old i'll be whipping it out to show people lol Do have a few peircings and want one more, but that'll be it after that. Agree, you become addicted to getting stuff done!

Scoot with regards to loading pictures, try taking off any current pictures you have on and then adding the ones you want. This is what I had to do until one day it just let me add as many as I wanted and I haven't stopped

Charlotte is currently trying to do what I'm guessing will be a rather large poo judging by the grunts she is making Poor little things seems to be having a few problems!

SKYTVADDICT · 12/08/2007 19:01

Think we might be having a repeat of last nights very unsettled behaviour. Colic arriving at 14 weeks!!

DP who is not over confident with C anyway really took a knocking last night when he had to get me home from a night out but tonight wanted to take him to visit his parents. C woke for a feed at 5.45 and screamed so I fed him and he screamed some more and more. Eventually settled him and they have now gone but for how long???

Will keep you updated.

Wanted to have a bath while they were gone but am currently trying to sort MSN problems for DD1 who has had her identity stolen!!

aprilmeadow · 12/08/2007 19:04

Scoot, I didnt realise that they did one either until i saw one whilst out and about. It costs about 63 quid plus 20 for the travel system adaptor. Here is a link
to a P&T stockist I wish that i had known about it from the start!

LWandLottie · 12/08/2007 19:23

Forgot to sat Sky congrats on getting engaged! Sorry to hear C is a bit unsettled

cameroonmama · 12/08/2007 19:29

Evening all

SOH (or should I say 'Fishy' ) I just LOVE your mum's dungers they are so cute. The problem with dungers and my babies are that my babies always end up as such enormous chubster as soon as their nappies start filling up and they do the toddler stand up sit down stand up sit down routine, the underneath poppers always pop open to reveal a soggy nappy Mathilda looks so very cute, in fact they all do, I do so love babies at this age no point getting all broody again now, I think that is why dh was keen to get his snip asap

oooo tattoos, I would love to have had a teeny tiny one somewhere, but I am so pathetic I fainted when I had my ears pierced fgs. Imagine LG&T if you had one tattoo for each of your babies, you would be like the incredible painted lady or something.

Sport, sport? What's that then? Is it something to do with shopping?

LW, i love the kilt outfit, we too are Scots and ds1 was in a kilt in our family tartan for my db wedding 2 years ago, he was matching with my db, dad and uncles and it was too cute. I'll post a picture..

cameroonmama · 12/08/2007 20:04

Dh has just announced that he doesn't like big norks, football or beer, and is popping out later to watch the meteor shower, do you think he needs therapy? and he wonders why ds1 likes having his toenails painted pink

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 12/08/2007 20:19

Cam, you've chopped off the source of DH's masculinity, or strangulated it I suppose! FWIW, my dh is a tee-total, nork-neutral, football-hating, sensitive chappie. Wouldn't have him any other way.

Tam, m'love bbq is on Sunday at 3pm. You are of course extraordinarily welcome. We can put you up too if it's too far to travel or if you're both drinking.

Back to my enchiladas...

Mrsjaffabiffa · 12/08/2007 20:52

Cam, lol at the shopping!

A doesn't like football I'm pleased to say as with Father living with us there is enough of it on TV in this house!!! neither does he like norks, He does like beer though ALOT, he drinks everyday! Not alot and he only drinks tiny bottles of kronembourg but still everyday. Can't be good for him surely.
AND he does LOVE cricket and plays it, but I agree unless you know all the rules and understand it, it is very much a YAWN game.

You know what bugs me more than anything though. The PLAYSTATION. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, geeeee it's just such a time waster. Drives me nuts and now H is becoming addicted, I have to limit his time on it every other day. When i told them how annoyed it made me the other day their return in unison was " well, you are always talking on your lap top" How can they possibly compare the playstation to MN as time wasting.

SKYTVADDICT · 12/08/2007 20:59

DP - who took C for an hour at 6.30 - is still not back.

Had a lovely bath though and assume he must be ok and not playing up as they are still out.

cameroonmama · 12/08/2007 21:05

Lol MrsJB, at the laptop comment! dh also likes cricket, but we are probably the only people in the whole of England who only have 5 channels so that means no cricket! Can't understand a single moment of it myself, and whats all this about jellybeans? He does do the occasional beer (he did work for Guinness fgs) but luckily no playstations here. But you are right SOH as he's very sensitive my dh, he loves ironing too. Very handy. We are now going to watch Billy Elliot, do you think he will now let ds1 go to ballet lessons after watching it?

The dc have become addicted to a website called poissonrouge.com, have you used it MrsJB? Even ds1 can do it. Not quite exciting as a playstation I fear

Enchiladas SOH? Very exotic your part of Norfolk..

cameroonmama · 12/08/2007 21:11

SKY - I meant to say at someone steal dd's identity. How does that happen then?

C is probably on fine form smiling away and charming his granny!

J too has been very unsettled the last 2 days, he had his vaccinations 2 days ago, could they still be upsetting him now? Either that or its teeth starting..
