OK, we're going down to worcester for 2 nights this weekend. It's the first time we've been away with T (on the outside ) and I'm panicking about forgetting stuff (only just remembered to put nappies on my list of things to take!).

Katy - no tips I'm afraid. We're going away for a couple of nights in August with L - my plan is just to bring everything I can fit in the car and hope for the best!

Morning Katy - No tips really, good that you've started making a list in advance, should give you plenty of time to remember things you may forget. At the end of the day if you forget something...you can always go and buy some more.

Trying to sort out our holiday to Spain atm. DH parents live out there so we are planning a trip in October when the weather hopefully won't be so hot? Maveta/ClariceBean I know this has been asked many times before but I can't remember but where in Spain do you live?

even more excited now, nursery have juggled things for me and managed to fit Matthew in every day, and Joe in every day except Thursady. hopefully, with a bit of help from gran and people i can get thursday sorted

Montacute house swap lady eailed me back nd her baby is due in 2weeks so they have put moving on hold - doesnt say for how long. Bum
There is a house in poundbury in dorchester which would be fab. Poundbury is Prince Charles dream village or summat - all new lovely designed houses! No idea how come theres a housing association house there But its in completely the wrong direction for dps work so would double his journey time and costs as well as the rent being £15a week more. Have still emailed them though!!

Had dds report tghis week - all excellent, acheiving 1 or 2 levels above what is expected for year 1, lovely, enthusiastic BUT easily distracted and distracts others! Like her mother I think - too busy chatting! Very proud though. Although she is compulsively lying to me it seems at the moment abnout every little thing and its doing my head in

Am also feeling very emotional about ds1 leaving playschool, had the final news letter last week about how much they would miss the children moving up and had to call him over for a big hug! Still not bought him school uniform, i dont want to see him wearing it! Tomorrow is his last day at playschool and think i might cry Thank god i have dylan to soften the blow of my baby growing up

Just had home visit from health visitor. DT's are 16 weeks today. Erin weighs 13lb 6oz and Jack weighs 15lb 14oz.

She gave me the weaning talk and how to start and what to do didn't have the balls to say we had already done it and she didn't ask.

They have just both fallen asleep and James is at preschool all day. Peace .

eddas - how was the graduation? - missed loads last night bed again at 8pm. Can't cope on little sleep

Morning all! Lol at HV oooggs. I am sure that they know people wean earlier than they are told to really, they just dont want to ask!! I weaned ds way early as he was starving. Made him a happier baby which had to be a good thing. Havent started Ffion yet but went out yesterday and bought bowls, spoons and baby rice. I do have bowls from last time but I wanted pink ones!! I LOVE pink!!!! At least now when I feel she is ready I have everything to hand.

JoMa, great news about the nursery. Makes things easier to handle when you know you have got your child care sorted.

No more news about MIL

Ernie fast asleep under his play gym - had jabs this morning so no intention of waking grumpy head up!

Had him weighed aswell - now 14lb 4 oz - flickering somehwere between 50th and 75th percentile which is good - fessed up about the baby rice and hv was fine about it - wasn't usre what she would say as she had a trainee nurse in with her - towing the line etc.

I need to water the lawn - under strict instructions from dh!

Oooggs - do you want to meet up next week? Soft play or something would be good!

oh and doidy cup arrived - thanks cd - chq in post.

wcl - do you also want to make a holiday meet up date? Maybe on 1st August????

Katy - my one tip for packing would be TAKE IT!! i.e. if you're wondering about packing something and wondering if you can manage without it for a couple of nights, if you've got room, take it. We went away for a couple of nights and I thought 'oh, I'll manage without the monitor/breast pump etc' and then found myself running up and down to check T was falling asleep ok in a strange room and feeling like I was going to explode, trying to hand express, which was taking ages etc etc blah blah blah... All while trying to catch up with extended family I'd not seen for years. Anyway, I have a note to self this time to take stuff!!

Thanks eca - think I'll just pack the contents of his room - well maybe I can leave the 6-9month clothes!

Hi all, back from my meeting at work! K wasn't a happy bunny as soon as we got there, so my colleague had her for the 2 hours!! She fed her and settled her and she is still asleep in the car seat as I type! FAB!

Ooogs, B goes to a preschool which is part of a nursery and that stays open all year. B will be finishing on the Friday before she starts school! I just can't occupy her myself and she is happy enough.
