sokl - I do 16 hours a week over 3 days wed, thur & fri but work flexi which is handy when trying to get 3 sorted!!!!

I am due back on 16th April (dts start nursery on 2nd April)

dt's will be joining James at nursery which is a workbased subsidised nursery for the 5 months before he starts school.

But I have gone back to doing my Usborne books this week, starting at the nursery summer fair this saturday!!!!!!!!

James is 3.6 and actually does more to help than I give him credit for. Erin was crying the other afternoon and I watched him talking to her and stroking her and she stopped crying, he then asked her if she wanted him to lie down with her so she didn't get lonely!!!!!!!!

He also knows which one is crying/talking without looking!!

At baby club this afternoon he told another lady that she was lucky as she had two babies as well. And she replied that his babies were even luckier than her twins as they had a big brother, he was so chuffed.

oooggs · 17/07/2007 21:28

yes eca references not a problem as long as I don't get asked what anyone looks like

sleep well ellie

eca · 17/07/2007 21:34

oooggs - how cute is James!! That's adorable! Bless you must be a proud mummy! & Usborne books are the BEST!

oooggs · 17/07/2007 21:34

go to bed girl, I see you are still logged on msn as well - naughty - get some kip

Sexonknackeredlegs · 17/07/2007 21:38

Ooogs, how lovely of James, bless his heart.
I have to say that Becky is great with Katie, it is just me and dh that she plays up something rotten.

B often chats to K, strokes her cheeks, and even wipes her mouth if she has puked a bit!

Right, Tesco order done, so am headed to bed methinks.

Hope everyone is ok. Lots of ladies have vanished - Birdiemum, Bugmum, Isabellymoi etc.

See you tomorrow loves. xx

oooggs · 17/07/2007 21:39

oh yes he still plays us up but is fantastic with the babies which is the right way around really

AngeG · 17/07/2007 21:42

Oooggs - James sounds great, bless him. They love to be told what great big brothers they are! Fantastic that he can tell them apart by their cry/talking...what a whizz kid

Jake is getting much better with Izzy now, she loves watching him jumping around and being silly

I too love usbourne books, I was looking at the 1001 things to find (or whatever the title is) books at the nursery open day.

JoMa · 17/07/2007 21:42

ok, ok, I will go to bed now!

NIGHT Ellie

Sexonknackeredlegs · 17/07/2007 21:45

Meant to say I love Usborne books. Have just bought B the book about going to school, and bought my friends dd the book about moving house. Also have in the wings for her, the book about a new baby arriving, as my friend is due her second in October. Really great books.

Right, must stop. Dh had to turn the volume up on the TV, as he says my nails are too noisy on the keyboard

AngeG · 17/07/2007 21:54

PMSL at nails too loud on the keyboard

Oooggs read that thread...don't think you should change your name.

eca · 17/07/2007 21:55

I need to go to bed too. Dh is watching a programme where they are racing men's sperm to see if their diet has made them quicker

oooggs · 17/07/2007 22:02

I had it first Ange and I am NOT changing, but she won't either, she is on the joesph thread all the time

on 21 June she wrote this......
I saw you for the first time last night oooggs and have been in turmoil ever since

on 24 June she wrote this......
There's someone on here called Oooggs, who thinks I'm too similar when I get shortened to Oggs, (she's not being heavy in any way , it's just that I don't want to offend her.)

So I think I must change.

But will you all still recognise me????

on 29th June she wrote this.......
Truth be told I have a dilemma with my name.....

I found out the other night that there is already an "oooggs" who has been posting for 3 years.

We've never actually met and therefore we must frequent totally different thread types.

Is it wrong of me to want to keep the only name I've ever identified with ???????

I can't see how it will cause a problem if we are so different in personalities. I honestly can't see people getting us mixed up.

What do you think?

Should I surrender my name??

so she isn't going to change it

oooggs · 17/07/2007 22:03

eca my dh is watching that to, just told him it makes no differnce, I ain't having anymore!!!!!!!!

Kneehighinnappies · 17/07/2007 22:32

Evening all, althought I do have my Dh back it isn't making much differnce.
For some reason Lola is really unsettled at the mo she is waking up about 4 times a night and screaming.
It is really odd she gets into a right state when i am feeding her, I don't know weather it is just wind or what but it is doing my head in.

I have started Zed on formula I just can't keep up the expressing and feeding and I want to start Lola on formula to but wil she have it NO!
SHe is soo stubborn!

Any ideas how i can settle her a bit or get her onto formula?

oooggs · 17/07/2007 22:35

no ideas KHIN, but can relate as I was up loads last night and am knackered so off to bed now. At 3am all 3 were up and the dt's didn't want feeding so wtf go to sleep!!!!!!!

and I have started weaning but last night made no difference - supposed to help them sleep through

CaptainDippy · 17/07/2007 22:38

Awwwwwww to James - so lovely!
I'm off to bed - am so tired I feel weird ......

theleakycauldRon · 17/07/2007 22:57

Evening

Joma Good luck for tomorrow, Sounds perfect. Hope you can sort childcare.

Runny at fil and fence. You should have asked if he could see a tree with money growing on it while he was out there hacking away.

Oooggs don't change your name for anyone!

Norma hope Erin's feet are ok now.

Sorry to anyone I've missed.

I didn't go for my walk alone earlier. Woke Dh and told him I didn't want to waste a whole day. We drove to the coast and had a long walk on the beach with G. Very nice.

My little brother works on an oil rig off aberdeen. He phoned an hour ago from Edinburgh station to say he'd missed his connecting train to Newcastle. Decided to try and get a coach -none to Newcastle but one to London which stops in Morpeth(where we're staying in ILs house) at 12.15am! He's expecting us to pick him up, put him up and drive him thru to newcastle in the morning. Don't really mind but have had crap couple of nights with G waking every 2 hrs from 10pm to 4am then every hour between 4 and 8. Also he sounds half-cut he probably drank from Aberdeen to Edinburgh. Going to see if I can get an hour before he arrives.

Goodnight all!

theleakycauldRon · 17/07/2007 22:59

Oh and Oooggs James sounds like an lovely big brother. I bet Erin and Jack will be following him round devotedly when they're a bit bigger.

elkiedee · 17/07/2007 23:26

Good luck for the interview JoMa if you see this first, hope it went well if after.

Of course to put anyone as referees we would need to know her real name - I know 2.5 of those on here and could probably match up a few more with a little work, but imagine an application with some of our user names on as refs.

I'm expecting to go back to work after Easter, that's the end of March, next year - that's 40 weeks maternity leave, some a/l at the beginning, more at the end - although I finished work on 5 April, I only started m/l on 23rd, day before baby due. I'm intending to return fulltime (35 hours). I have to find out about childcare, there's a new children's centre opening in a place which would be very handy but it's already behind schedule, don't know if it will be ready, or a place available for Danny, or cost, or how to apply and need to phone up the Council and ask. Otherwise I'll have to find out about childminders. Both my and DP's employers offer childcare vouchers, which allow you to save some tax on part of your childcare costs. So, lots of work to do on that.

Visiting the office went pretty well, lots of people cooed, the bus journey home was surprisingly quick and someone even lifted the pram on to the bus.

Now I have to go and pack, we're off back to Ilkley tomorrow. Hope all goes well for you all over the next few days if I don't get to read or post.

oooggs · 18/07/2007 07:15

shit night

but I came on here to wish Ellie good luck x

Katy44 · 18/07/2007 07:43

Sorry to hear everyone has been having bad nights in the last few days
oooggs you do spell the (hers shortened) names differently - I think you should go on a drive to teach people how to spell yours then there would be no confusion!
Leaky - at your brother! Can we call you 'Ron' now?
elkie, glad the trip into work went well, and enjoy ilkley. Sounds like we have very similar plans about maternity - I'm back on the 1st April (or 2nd if 1st is a weekend, I can't remember), using ML and annual leave. When are you going to start looking at nurseries? I called one when I was about 6 months pregnant and they said I'd started too early I'm probably going back for 33 hours, f/t apart from 4.5 hours, and hoping to cram them into 4 days!

CaptainDippy · 18/07/2007 07:58

Sorry you had a bad night Ooggs, sweetheart - I hd a an ok night; but crap morning - P woke at 5am and decided that was it for the day and then other 2 were up at 6am - yuk yuk yuk!! Feeling a bit panic-y and anxious today - probably cos we've got a friend staying for week ..... she is lovely, but I am dreading having another person to look after, iykwim!!? Also it means P has to come back in our room for a whole week - I really hope she is not too weirded out by being back in with mummy and daddy and sleeps ok .....

All the Best for today JoMa!!!!

Hope everything went ok with picking your bro up etc Leaky - how was he??

Right, just doing DD1's homework for Pre-School. Then shower ....
