Having read so many good things about tots bots thought I'd go with them...plus I can return anything unused/unwashes for a full refund so thought worth the risk, I can always just wash and try one and see how I go.
I bought 10 bamboozles and 2 fluffles.

Also they have a good resale value on ebay.

Speaking of ebay, how come all the M&P Arias are so expensive? I only want a £20 second hand one with a cosytoes for my holiday! Think I will check out boot sales

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 14:18

Ewww, return unwashed TA?

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 14:20

ebay have apparently stopped the sale of 2nd hand nappies, but there are classified ads on bumfluff and the nappy lady websites...

...or sell on here!

LOL bumper.

trendaverter · 23/07/2007 14:29

Har Har Bumper

trendaverter · 23/07/2007 14:30

Daisy I heard that too but I just looked... there are used nappies on ebay?!

trendaverter · 23/07/2007 14:33

For Example...

trendaverter · 23/07/2007 14:36

Is it ok to let babies sleep on their belly?
He doesn't overnight cos of all the SIDS stuff but it's the best way to get him settled during the day, he loves it

Charlie999 · 23/07/2007 14:36

Afternoon

Holly am pissed off for you - what a shame. Canot belieive DHs employers have done an investigation that quickly! Definately worth looking into - is a weeks money all he is entitled to? Doesn't seem much to me! Hope you get it sorted soon and he gets a new job.

Delor - thanks for advice - i bled after having DD for about 4 weeks. Had a few days break then another 4-5 day bleed which I assumed was a period then a break of another few days then this mammoth 18 day bleed. Sorry if TMI, but I lost LOADS of bright red blood for about 13-14 days but is now very little - however, will go to the GP tomorrow. I do remember my maternity notes saying ragged membranes (had SROM). Will probably have to spell it out to my GP as he's so bloody useless. Must change my GP before I go back to work!

TA Sounds like a good plan to me - as I said I have a couple of emergency cartons of the number 2 milk (funnily enough it was my mum that encouraged me to get it as well).

Bumper hope the weather isn't too bad there - can't believe what I'm seeing on the TV - are you in one of the worst affected areas they are showing? Hope all is OK and you can stay at home.

Weather is crap here but still muggy. I have no idea what to dress my DD in from one day to the next!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 14:56

well there you go, one of the nappy ladies on here had said that you couldn't sell second hand

My charmer of a DS has just had an almighty strop, wouldn't listen to my gold star talk, threw his lego across the floor, then when I told him to go to the step, slammed the door and called me an idiot......and I'm proud to say I didn't lose my temper with him.

Ha, all you first time mums have this to look forward to

Charlie999 · 23/07/2007 15:23

Hopefully will be a little while yet Daisy before DD does that to me!

I am well known for my lack of patience, so I hope I learn some in the next few years

Has he finished school now? Do you have 6 weeks of this to look forward to?

Blimey, it must be SO hard - one is enough work - don't know how I would cope with another one running around as well!

Hope the rest of the day improves for you!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 15:28

Just ordered two more feeding bras from figleaves as the Royce ones I got originally turn up at the underband and are really uncomfy.

Got fitted with a freya one in bravissimo and it it very very comfy and gives a fab shape too (boobs don't look like they're tucked under my armpits).

Got 20% off though, using the promo code trends20 if anyone is interested.

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 15:34

Charlie, we are not directly affected (i.e. our town isn't flooded) but we are affected by the water and possible power outage. DH works in one of the worst areas. Hope he doesn't get stuck there tonight. Even though the rain has stopped the rivers are still rising and haven't reached their peak yet. If they get more concerned about the power I'm going to go to my mums tomorrow. Not sure how long the water problem will last. But saying that, my mum is in surrey and even they are having to boil their water because of contamination.

Hope things are ok with MRR daisy.

Quick question: if your DC feeds like a maniac then brings up milk because of gulping down too much would you try giving them a little more after their stomach has emptied a little? Sound like a stupid question I know, but just wondering if bringing it up is going to empty her stomach a little bit?

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 15:37

By the way daisy, I got a couple of those closer to nature dummies and she (mostly) does keep them in better. They are hideous though, they are huge (0-6m rather than 0-3m) and clear so you can her mouth as she is sucking - it's really bizarre!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 15:54

hmm they are big compared to other dummies, but DD prefers the shape of them. It is a bit freaky looking into the inside of the teat!

MRR is behaving himslef again. 5 mins on the naughty step tends to focus him for a bit.

Got DD a baby gym yesterday, and a mini one for clipping to pram/bouncy chair/car seat. They got a very ambivalent response. She's not very impressed, but then again, she is only 7 weeks old!

I would decant to my mum's anyway Bumper on the off chance that the electricity does go off. Have you got any water yet?

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 15:55

oops, to answer your question, I don't usually bother. She soon lets me know of she wants more!

foxybrown · 23/07/2007 15:56

Daisy - which bra did you buy at figleeaves? i bought 2 of the next ones, just saw they are half price. grrrr. bloody uncomfy too,

hope your dh gets home ok bumper. if lo throws up milk cos gulping 2 quickly, then yes. but if being greedy prob not. ds1 usedto stuff himself quickly and greedily, and would vom entire feeds. often 1st thing. often in my bed. nice.

typing 1 handed. apologies.

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 16:04

We actually seem to still have water at the moment, though having to boil it. only for about another 10 hours or so then could be off for up to a week.

btw i got a bravado bra from my bfing group, so comfy and only £15!

foxybrown · 23/07/2007 16:09

bumper water this thread - you might want to start filling things. fill the bath before you go 2 bed tonight, incase it goes over night. at least you'll be able to flush loo! how awful for you

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 16:19

We had problems with our water at new year once for three days. we had visitors and it was really embarrasing telling them they could only flush for a No2! thankfully it was a pressure thing and the tank would fill up overnight.

Foxy, it's this one. I've got the white print and have ordered a black and a nude. I hate to think how much I've spent on bloody bras since I got pregnant

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 16:20

thanks foxy. eek, bit nervous about having to make the trip to my mum's. and who knows how long i'll be there. my mum only lives in a one bed flat though so don't know how we are going to fit!

foxybrown · 23/07/2007 16:24

just what you don't need, huh?

have realised i've not had lunch!!

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 16:24

ooh, thanks for the email daisy! mothercare have a sale on and i got a couple of nursing bras for £13 for a pack of two, may be worth a look.

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 16:30

Mothercare bras not quite heavy duty enough for my enormous womble snouts...and they never have my size anyway, but I got some bits and pieces for DD though.

bumperlicious · 23/07/2007 16:31

gosh foxy, i can't seem to go an hour without eating!

do any of you read the news of the world (ok, i like to get a balanced view of the world so i get NOW, guardian and Indie) anyway in the sunday magazine on pg 34 they have the MOST gorgeous pink shows with ribbons from faith. I love them, but can't see them online, and rang the store but no joy, hope they are coming out soon!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/07/2007 16:35

foxy...not good for blood sugar levels and the corresponding tolerance to small people.

gargh, I'm so tired. Been up since quarter to five. I think I'll be following DS to bed at 7:30!
