we have large gap as I couldn't conceive no 2 so ended up having ivf for lo only took 3 yrs ha ha

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:24

Nothing wrong with a bit of OCD!

I obsessively do the washing the entire time!

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:25

3 years? That must've been hard going.

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:28

it was a mammoth effort on our part 3 miscarriages (2 natural conceptions 1 ivf)and 3 ivf attempts but we got there in the end my advice don't leave it too long...... I was just old in the end and that was the problem dh was very supportive though and I think because we had ds the pressure wasn't as much as having no children

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:31

definitely off to bed now........

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:33

me too! Night x

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 21:33

My BIL and SIL have been down the IVF route too Andiem (they have a DD three and are currently expecting twins), as have a few of our friends. It seems like a difficult and emotionally trying thing to go through. I'm glad it was successful for you this time.

Right ladies tmi question?.....how long after having LO will periods return if bub exclusively BF, or does it vary?

I'm in a bit of a panic as DH and I didn't use any protection the other night, and then I was reading on Kellymom today that using a pacifier for the baby can speed up the return of your period...something to do with their sucking helping to stop ovulation and using a pacifier interferes with that. Having a bit of a lilkel moment now

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 21:53

oh well, no-one to talk to....I'm off as well then!

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 21:54

Hellooo

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 22:06

where have you gone holly?

I'm waiting for DD to decide she wants more grub so I can get to bed (although I may leave DH with some EBM.

She has been awake all evening and is now just lying in her pram looking at her wee toys. she slept for hours this afternoon when we were out and about....so no more than I deserve really.

Note to self...must start routine tomorrow!

justbeme · 22/07/2007 22:16

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:18

I'm here, sorry. Ds pooed and dd was crying! Back now!

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:20

I think my periods came back about 5 months with dd. I weaned her at 16 weeks and will be doing the same with ds! Screw the hvs and the blw mn gurus! My dd has the most healthy appetite of any child I know and she will eat anything! I want to do exactly the same this time.

ohh holly u little rebel!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/07/2007 22:24

Hi - just catching up before bed. Thanks for links derlor & daisy very informative. Maybe should direct my HV to this site.

Hope everyone had good day. I am exhausted, DD been a feeding & screaming machine ALL day. Went to meet friend for coffee & DD screamed so much we had to leave the cafe.

Am off to bed & leaving the screaming harpie (for benefit of MN bad mother police, i love her really} with DH & some EBM. Funny Daisy, she seems to think of a bottle as a snack too.

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:24

I know! Naughty me!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 22:29

I seem to remember getting mine back about three or four weeks after I stopped bf DS.

I've eaten a 150g bar of galaxy fruit and nut this evening....

...and had four glasses of wine

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:32

I've hardly eaten anything today, been too busy. Took the dcs to a rare breeds show with my parents, it was fun, but dd was a nightmare. She kept running off and throwing hissy fits, but she loved the sheep! William, as usual, was a little angel, but did have to bf him in the middle of a field full of farmers!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 22:34

DD is having a "conversation" with DH. Every time he looks away, she coos at him to get him to look back at her. Its so sweet and lovely...aaaah.

I'm a bit though; I get no such attention from her.....I'm just for food!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 22:37

I'm just watching all the flooding on the news....this is just awful.

Is anyone in that direction?

I'm thanking my lucky stars that I'm at the top of a hill!

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:37

My mum gets the best grins from William, he smiles at us, but she gets massive cheesy grins! He's gonna love his grandma more than me, a bit like Alice really!

justbeme · 22/07/2007 22:38

right im off for the night - xx dps hour down pub has long since elapsed!

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:39

It's been a lovely day here, no flooding in this area, thank god! I do worry about it though, especially as our road is next to the a huge river! Literally next to, the houses opposite us have jetties at the end of their gardens!

loonylovegood · 22/07/2007 22:40

Night jbm! Bloody dps! Mine spent "a couple of hours" at the driving range this morning! Couple of hours my arse, more like 4 1/2!!
