Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

not yet annobal, but i think i will!

JBM - no routine yet, but i'm trying to be aware of feeding times. I'm going to demand feed for another week and then see what she's doing. She is either sleeping or eating and not much else.

Easy to wake her up - I just take my boob out of her mouth!

annobal · 22/07/2007 20:37

I've started a routine in the last couple of days but finding it a bit stressful as C doesn't want to wake when I want him to (the nerve of it!). It generally goes like this...

7am - awake and feeding til about 8.30
8.30-10am - sleep
10am - awake and feeding put down at about 11.30
11.30 - 2pm - sleep
2 - awake and feeding put down at about 3.30
3.30-5 sleep
5-7 - feed, bath, feed again and put down at about 7pm
7-10pm - sleep
10pm - awake and feeding until ready to be put down for the night - feed in the night when needed

This is roughly the CLBB routine - think I might wait another few days and try again...

annobal · 22/07/2007 20:39

I wore my new dress today - I took T&G to lunch in the village while DH looked after Charlie. I liked it a lot

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 20:48

How lovely!

Yes, i think if its getting stressy i'd have a break too. its very easy to get hung up on it isn't it? Your routine sounds good, the kind of thing i'll aim for

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 20:51

How are the nights Annobal? Getting any sleep?

justbeme · 22/07/2007 20:52

crikey annobal - seems very structured!!
oh god can you remind me what those initals mean again CLBB - contented little....??

andiem · 22/07/2007 20:55

hi everyone been awol as vv busy. Bought skirt and tee shirt from fat face and polo shirt for dh so looking forward to those arriving. Am back in most of my pre preg clothes apart from my very tight jeans. Just need to stop stuffing the biccies and choc down but keep thinking oh well bfing so ok......

Hopefully will start exercising after 6 wk check. Want to go to buggyfit as they have classes near me has anyone done it?

Will also start expressing this week so dh can be left with lo. Didn't do this with ds1 so keen to do it this time. have got the tommee tippee closer to nature bottles so hoping lo will take them. Will have to get instructions for pump out as have completely forgotten how it works.

LO asleep so off to bed with hp for me am about half way through

night all

annobal · 22/07/2007 20:58

You're right JBM, it is very structured and you do have to be quite flexible.

New clothes sound lovely Andiem - well done on fitting into your pre-preg clothes. I haven't been game to try yet.

I'm off to watch Rome and feed Charlie as he's just woken.

N'night all!

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 20:59

Hello and goodbye Andiem, hope you get plenty of sleep!

JBM - ...Baby Book!

Does anyone have an Avent Microwave Steriliser? I can't remember how long - is it 5 mins on full power?

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 21:01

ooh, I would love some routine but babyboo has other ideas. She falls asleep generally when feeding, and will sleep quite happily in my arms, but wakes as soon as I put her down. Or, if it's during the night, I put her in the crib...fine..tiptoe away...fine..put my knee on the bed to climb in....waaah. Every Bloody Time.

...and she treated the EBM I left for her today as a snack...she finished feeding at 10:30. I went out at 11:30, she had 3.5ozs when I was out. I got back at 1:00 and she went straight back on the boob. It was almost as if the EBM didn't count!

justbeme · 22/07/2007 21:04

cant help u with sterilizer foxy sorry.
I tried some pre preg skirts on today - there was NO WAY they were going to fit, so i was very down for a minute and then had to put my maternity denim skirt back on - i've got nothing to wear...

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:05

foxy am still up will have alook at my leaflet now...........

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:07

justbeme · 22/07/2007 21:07

Andiem i just looked at buggyfits website - there isnt a class nr me - looks good tho.

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:08

BTW JBM, love the photos of your girls!

DP goes back to work tomorrow. Part of me is delighted (he is doing my head in!), but I'm also dreading it. Have to get out of the house for the boys to go to tennis tomorrow afternoon. Its not until 3.45, but I'm still not convinced I'll get there on time!

Secretly hoping it pisses with rain all day so we can make popcorn and watch Flushed Away under blankets all afternoon!

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:08

i agree justbeme it does look good will have to wait until after the school holidays now but can go to the gym in the meantime

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:09

Brilliant, thanks Andiem! Have been sterilising for 5 mins (have a feeling I've always done it for 5 mins - oops!).

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:09

sorry foxy on full power

justbeme · 22/07/2007 21:10

Thanks Foxy!
You'll be fine on your own, Im sure.
My Dp went back last monday so I only had 2.5 days plus a weekend with him off.

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:11

How olds your oldest Andiem?

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/07/2007 21:11

Get yourself down to the Next sale JBM....there still might be some bargains in store.

Tried on my pre-pg denim skirt yesterday and managed to get it on and fastened, but there was a roll of belly hanging over the top... v. v. attractive, no?

I really need to get exercising again. Got a new swimsuit as I was bulging out of my old one....now to find the time and babysitter so that I can go swimming on my own. Somehow 20 lengths of the baby pool isn;t going to cut the mustard.

IKWYM about nipples and breast pumps...they look horrible aftewards...bleargh.

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:17

Nooooo, don't do it! I went to Next yesterday, and lost the will to live. I didn't even want to go to the sale (I accidentally dyed DPs white pants pink ).

He's just going to have to wear pink knickers.

justbeme · 22/07/2007 21:18

My favourite shop is Choice - which is Next stuff. Went there yesterday - bought a few baby bits, a shelf unit for bathroom and for me...a jacket for £3.99, 3 tops in a packet for £6 odd and then I stupidly bought some trousers for £10 which need to go back as too small ( i forgot how fat I was!)
but hey ho - if I go back i can spend some more money!

andiem · 22/07/2007 21:22

hi foxy my ds1 is 7 I am a bit ocd so have the instructions for everything...... also obsessively wipe my kitchen worktops

foxybrown · 22/07/2007 21:22

I'm off to bed. LO is sleeping. She'll be awake in another 2 hours, I'm sure!

Night all xx
