LOL ooggs - know what you mean - think I am going to wait til he can sit up better - I am also leaning towards the svan highchair rather than tripp trapp - more exclusive - have a look on www.babyangels.co.uk. Bouncy chair on table for now for us I think. What you need is an extra pair of hands!

I thought that doula post was a bit weird tbh. The pedantic part of me thought it was very poorly written too.

Hope you have fun tonight up north - are you actually going out?

oooggs · 11/07/2007 19:25

I only bought another tripp trapp to match one we wlready have - rather than matching it is to stop arguments later on, same highchair, same cot, same grobags, no choice

extra pair of hands.........yep and I'm sure KHIN does aswell especially this week.

Pinions · 11/07/2007 20:04

Hi octo, oooggs no it was a bit of a piss take really more about the fact that we can't go out ie breastfeeding/number of kids/etc etc.

Going to coolcats tomorrow tho with everyone wahoooo!!

oooggs · 11/07/2007 20:18

whats coolcats?

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 20:32

Evening everyone.

Have read posts on and off all day as today, as with every Wednesday is hectic.

Cannot remember much tbh.

Elkie, hope you and dp have made up.

Pinions, Nutty and Ellie, have a lovely time together girls.

Oogs, a very wise move to buy everything the same - as you say, no arguments surely???

Big hello to everyone else, as I am afraid I have forgotten everything else - must be my age??!!

Nothing to report here really, other than that K is totally back to normal. No nasty nappies and drinking all her milk. Phew! She is a little star I have to say.
B has been great today as well, so all in all, a fabulous day.

Hope everyone is ok. xx

oooggs · 11/07/2007 21:06

hi sokl - J has also been a star today - not that he has been with me much!!!!!!!

CaptainDippy · 11/07/2007 21:15

Good evening! Brain has emptied as usual; but hello! Glad Pinions, Nutty & Ellie and their hoard are having a fabulous time! Yes, what is Coolcats??

How's everyone doing this evening??

It's my birthday tomorrow!

NearlyHeddaslessNick · 11/07/2007 21:16

PMSL (at me) thought you said Brian had emptied

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 21:19

NearlyHeddaslessNick · 11/07/2007 21:21

Oo do you share a bday SOKL & CD? Happy bdays to you both for tomorrow. I will forget to say it tomorrow. I have the memory of a goldfish. A half dead goldfish at that!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 21:24

We do, except that CD is 12 years younger than me !!!

Strangely enough it also my cousin's birthday tomorrow (my mum's sisters first child, and I too was my mum's first child) How weird is that??

oooggs · 11/07/2007 21:26

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 21:28

My cousin is 5 years younger than me.

NearlyHeddaslessNick · 11/07/2007 21:31

It is a little weird! Dh's family have about a million bdays in May. that'll be school holiday time

elkiedee · 11/07/2007 21:40

I have a cousin with the same birthday as me too (30 June) - 6 years older - and his older brother was born 4 years earlier on 28 June. My mum and sister were also June babies, and Danny shares a birthday with his paternal grandmother (76 year age difference)

oooggs · 11/07/2007 21:43

my dad and I are both born on 24th of a month at 2.20pm!!!!!!

elkiedee · 11/07/2007 21:47

Glad to hear you made it safely Ellie, and that you're getting to meet Pinions as well as Nutty.

Happy birthday for tomorrow SOKL and Dippy.

dp and I did make up, he's now dozing on the sofa with Danny on his lap, hopefully Danny will doze a bit too.

CaptainDippy · 11/07/2007 21:50

Off to bed now as v.tired - "See" you all tomorrow no doubt .....

Sexonknackeredlegs · 11/07/2007 22:01

elkiedee · 11/07/2007 22:25

maveta · 12/07/2007 07:54

morning! been trying to keep up but forgotten most of it..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOKL & CD!!! Hope you have fabulous birthdays worthy of your yummy mumminess!

Octo - glad you got the result you wanted.. phew, hey?!

got to put boy down for his morning nap and will be back...

maveta · 12/07/2007 08:07

well, that was easy! He´s already out for the count on the sofa! Can´t be long, really need to do a second coat of varnish on the tables I started days ago.. started with great intentions but never seem to find time to finish off. If I don´t get to it first thing it´s too hot to be on the terrace and the varnish would probably set as soon as I put it on the brush!

July is a crazy month for birthdays for me too. I have - dh, SIL and nephew, my mum, 3 friends! Aaargh! Speaking of spooky coincidences, N was born on the same day, 1 year after his cousin, my SILs first baby (and he was 2 months premature).

Well N had a great day yesterday, went to SILs house (she has the loveliest house with a pool and great views ) for a swim and Noah loved it! We dipped his toes in the public pool the other day but it was a bit minging so didn´t really want to push our luck. But SILs pool is obviously really crystal clear with the few people that use it.. he was a good 5-10mins and up to his chest! Seemed to like it and completely flaked out afterwards. I´ve got to be better about taking him to see them, they all dote on him so much and I´m a great fan of going places where people will take him off me for a few minutes! (bad mummy?) But yes, next time better take cossie and not bikini.. just grabbed what was to hand but was not best advised given that I had a 2 year old and a 4 year old throwing themselves from the side on to me!

In other news, I´ve been making enquiries here and there about nappy selling. Not sure if it will come to anything so I´ve not mentioned it to anyone in RL yet but it´s given me a good wee project to get stuck into. Went to an advisory centre yesterday for tax advice etc. It´s so mind boggling! Luckily I´m already self employed so that´s a heap of paperwork I don´t need to do but it took about 45 mins for me to understand the tax implications, although to be fair to me she was not explaining it very clearly at all... and I have the crossed out and redone calculations on a scrap of paper (hers) to prove it.. Can you believe nappies are subject to 0% vat in uk and 20% here??! Apparently they are not ´primary necessity´!!! Really??
